Objective To study CT diagnostic value of benign and malignant salivary gland lesions.Methods CT features in 36 cases with pathologically-proved salivary lesions were retrospectively analyzed.There were 19 cases with benign tumors,5 cases with chronic inflammation,1 case with tuberculosis and 11 cases with malignant tumors.Results Benign tumors were regular in 17 and well-defined in 16.All cases with chronic inflammation and 1 case with tuberculosis were regular but ill-defined.Benign lesions showed homogeneous or inhomogeneous density.Of all 11 malignant tumors,7 cases presented ill-defined margin with irregularity in shape,infiltration of adjacent subcutaneous fat tissue and disappearing of epiderm.Salivary glands enlarged and looked like "cast form" in malignant tumors.Most of the malignant tumors and benign tumors presented inhomogeneous density.Conclusion CT scan is of important value in the diagnosis of salivary diseases.

ObjectiveTo investigate the diagnostic value of ultrasound on patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC) coexisted with Hashimoto thyroiditis(HT).Methods The preoperative ultrasonography data of 2144 cases with PTC from January 2006 to December 2011 who treated with operation and diagnosed by pathology were analyzed retrospectively.Among them,265 cases coexisted with HT (PTC coexisted with HT group),1879 cases were not coexisted with HT (non-PTC coexisted with HT group).ResultsMost of the cancerous nodes in two groups exhibited in the ultrasonographic performance just like irregular shape,unclear boundary and so on (P ＞ 0.05).Most of the cancerous nodes in non-PTC coexisted with HT group exhibited hypoechoic nodules with microcalcifications,those in PTC coexisted with HT group exhibited various internal echoes with mainly microcalcifications,and the coarse calcification occupied a certain proportion(P＜ 0.01 ).The cancerous nodes in PTC coexisted with HT group were not rich in blood flow compared with non-PTC coexisted with HT group,but mostly exhibited blood disorders.When compared with non-PTC coexisted with HT group,the rate of ultrasound diagnosis in PTC coexisted with HT group was lower [ 52.8 ％( 140/265 ) vs.75.0 ％ (1409/1879),P ＜ 0.01 ],and the false positive rate in lymph node was higher [84.0％(487/580) vs.74.8％ (77/103)] (P ＜0.05).ConclusionsThe nodules are malignant when they appear as hypoechoic solid nodules,have unclear boundary and have microcalcifications should be highly suspected.The hyperechoic solid nodules or coarse calcification nodules should also be awared and taken further observation of the characteristics around the echoes and the internal blood flow,making comprehensive analysis to determine whether it could be malignant transformation and try best to reduce the misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis rates of this disease.

Objkctive To determine the potential ability of the area of each peak for the proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy(1 H-MRS) in the diagnosis of DNS(Delayed neuropsychological sequelae after carbon monoxide poisoning).Methods MRI and STEAM(stimulated-echo-acquisition mode)were performed in 38 DNS patients and 18 healthy volunteers.The area of the peak of each organic compound were obtained in each volume of interest.Results The data spectra abtained from patients shows NAA(881±76),Cho(2 352 ±86),β、γGlx(3 024 ± 187).Compared with the control group,theβ、γGlx ratio and Cho area increased,but the NAA ratio decreased.The area of NAA,Cho,β、γGlx between DNS and control group were compared,the results showed significant differences (P ＜0.05).In spectroscopy,the Lip evaluated peak in 0.9～1.40 ppm were detected.Conclusion 1H-MRS may do some contribution to the diagnosis of DNS.

Objective To determine the incidence rate of HPV infection or multi-infections at different stages of cervical lesions in the development of cervical cancer , and the impact of specific types of HPV multi-infections on the risk of cervical cancer. Methods 103 samples of cervical tissues were detected and then divid-ed into ICC/HSIL group and LSIL/NILMF group according to the degree of pathological changes. HPV type was determined by PCR product sequencing. E6 nested multiplex PCR was performed to detect HPV multi-infections. Odds ratios were calculated to determinate the association between the sample category (LSIL/NILM or ICC/HSIL) and the specific types of HPV multi-infections. Results In HPV-positive samples, the rate of multi-in-fections had no significant differences between the two groups. Coinfection of HPV68 with HPV16 increased the risk of ICC/HSIL, as compared with HPV16 or HPV68 infection alone. Conclusions High-risk HPV coinfec-tions has a higher risk to induce ICC/HSIL than does HPV infection alone.

Four natures are cold, hot, warm and cool natures of drug, it is the one of main theoretical bases for explaining the effects of traditional Chinese drugs. According to the natures of traditional Chinese drugs, the compatible modality of traditional Chinese drugs can be classified into two types: the compatibility of drugs with same natures and the compatibility of drugs with different natures. Both of them can play the actions of strengthening potency of drugs, enlarging the treated scope, preventing adverse reactions and bringing about new functions.

Objective The article aimed to investigate the correlation of lipid profile levels with deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) damage and total antioxidant capacity (TAC) levels in obese pregnant women. Methods Healthy pregnant women (n=120 ) who took routine prenatal care from August 2011 to August 2012 in our hospital were recruited .All the pregnant women were di-vided into normal weight group ( n =45 ) and obese group ( n=75 ) .The lipid profile levels , DNA damage and TAC levels of two groups were compared and analyzed , and the correlations among lipid profile levels , DNA damage and TAC levels were analyzed . Results Compared to normal weight group , obese group showed significantly higher levels of TC (P=0.000), TG(P=0.000), and LDL-c(P=0.004), but a lower level of HDL-c (P=0.006).The DNA damage and TAC level of obese group were obviously higher than those of normal weight group (P=0.000, P=0.000).The DNA damage was positively correlated with levels of TC , TG and LDL-c among obese pregnant women (r=0.23, P=0.026;r=0.26, P=0.008;r=0.19, P=0.032), and TAC level was positive-ly correlated with TG level (r=0.32,P=0.000). Conclusion Dyslipidemia, imbalance of prooxidant and antioxidant status al-ways occur to obese pregnant women .The DNA damage is positively correlated with levels of TC , TG and LDL-c among obese pregnant women, and TAC is positively correlated with TG level .

Objective:To establish the drug utilization evaluation(DUE)criteria for isophane protamine biosyntheti(30R)to provide reference for the rational drug use. Methods:Referred to the domestic and foreign literatures and the authorized guidelines for diabetes treatment,and combined with the Delphi expert consultation method,the drug utilization evaluation criteria was established,and after the evaluation,intervention and revaluation,the final criteria were determined. Results:The drug utilization evaluation criteria for isophane protamine biosyntheti(30R)contained three parts,including medication indications,medication process and medication results,which showed the clinical feasibility. Conclusion:The established DUE criteria for isophane protamine biosyntheti(30R)can not only be applied in the drug utilization evaluation,but also provide reference for the DUE in medical institutions.

Objective To survey the distribution and amibiotie resistance of bacterium isolated from hospitalized patients with hematolegical diseases.Methods Bacterial strains were isolated from patients with hematological disease.Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was done by the method of minimum inhibitory concentration.Results A total of 56 bacterial strains were isolated from all kinds of specimens,including blood,phlegm and urine.14.3% were gram-positive and 85.7% were gram-negative bacterium.Escheriehia coli and pseudomonas aeruginosa account for 21.4% of gram-negative bacterium,respectively.Detection rates of ESBLs in E.coli and K.pneumoniae were 75.0%(8/12)and 33.3%(2/6),respectively.Conclusion Our data may have great significance for the empirical use of antimicrobial agents in the treatment of infections in patients with hematological disease.

Background: Arctic-like (AL) lineages of rabies viruses (RABVs) remains endemic in some Arctic and Asia countries. However, their evolutionary dynamics are largely unappreciated. Objectives: We attempted to estimate the evolutionary history, geographic origin and spread of the Arctic-related RABVs. Methods: Full length or partial sequences of the N and G genes were used to infer the evolutionary aspects of AL RABVs by Bayesian evolutionary analysis. Results: The most recent common ancestor (tMRCA) of the current Arctic and AL RABVs emerged in the 1830s and evolved independently after diversification. Population demographic analysis indicated that the viruses experienced gradual growth followed by a sudden decrease in its population size from the mid-1980s to approximately 2000.Genetic flow patterns among the regions reveal a high geographic correlation in AL RABVs transmission. Discrete phylogeography suggests that the geographic origin of the AL RABVs was in east Russia in approximately the 1830s. The ancestral AL RABV then diversified and immigrated to the countries in Northeast Asia, while the viruses in South Asia were dispersed to the neighboring regions from India. The N and G genes of RABVs in both clades sustained high levels of purifying selection, and the positive selection sites were mainly found on the C-terminus of the G gene. Conclusions The current AL RABVs circulating in South and North Asia evolved and dispersed independently.

Objective To explore the difference of pharmacokinetic parameters derived from dynamic contrast enhanced (DCE) MRI between primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) and glioblastoma (GBM).Methods Data of 17 patients with PCNSL and 21 patients with GBM were retrospectively analyzed.All patients underwent DCE MRI.The pharmacokinetic parameters (K,Kep,Ve) and the initial (60 s) area under the Gd concentration-time curve (iAUC) of peri-tumoral parenchymas (PT),enhancement tumors (ET) and contralateral normal parenchyma (NP) were obtained.The differences of various parameters were compared among different regions of PCNSL and GBM using one-way ANOVA.The differences of various parameters of PT,ET and NP were compared using independent samples t-test.Results There were statistical differences of K,Kep in ET,Kep in PT between PCNSL and GBM patients (all P＜0.05),as well as of K,Kep,Ve,iAUC in PCNSL and GBM patients between ET and PT (all P＜0.05).However,K and Kepof PT showed statistical differences compared with those of NP in GBM patients (both P＜0.05),so did Ktrans between PT and NP in PCSL patients (P＜0.05).Conclusion The pharmacokinetic parameters derived from DCE MRI based on extended Tofts Linear can promote differential diagnosis between PCNSL and GBM.
