Korean Journal of Dermatology 1991;29(2):159-166
Diaper dermatitis is an infant dermatosis associated with the wearing of diapers, Despite of its high frequency in clinical pediatrics the clinical characteristics are not well described in the korean literatvre. We investigated the clinical and mycological characteritics of diaper dermatitis in 50 serial patients. Clinically diaper dermatitis was classified. into five categories, irritant contact derniatitis(ID), candidiasis(CD). combined rash of ID and CD(CR.), intertrigo, and miliari. Of 50 patients with diaper dermatitis, 18 had ID; 16, CI3; 10, CR; 5, intertrigo, and 1, miliaria, The mean age of patients with ID (11.8 months) was higher than that of patients with CD (4.0 months). Candida albicans(C. albicans) w is isolated from 25 patients with diaper dermatitis. The rate of positive cultures by clinical diagnosis was 130% in CD, 11.1% in ID, 60, 0% in CR, and 20.0% in intertrigo. C. albicons was isolated from 23 patients(82.1%) of patients with clinically suspected Ci") and 2 of 22 patients without the characteristic erythematous papulesThe presence of eryhematous papules was the most characteristic clinical feature of infection, Other candida species isolated from cut, aneous lesions were C. tropicalsis, C.'. parapsiolosis, and C. stellatoidea.

7.Modulation of Dopamine D2 Receptors as a Basis of Antipsychotic Action.
Korean Journal of Psychopharmacology 2004;15(3):255-262
As comparing to typical antipsychotics, atypical antipsychotics have several characters such as no causing catalepsy in animal models or extrapyramidal side effects in schizophrenia patients, no or transient prolactin elevation (except risperidone, amisulpride), effects on negative symptoms, mood and affective symptoms, and efficacy in refractory schizophrenia. In views of the results of several studies so far achieved, the action at the dopamine D2/3 receptors, is by itself, sufficient to provide the contemporary kind of atypical antipsychotic activity. This review will attempt to address the modulation of dopamine D2 receptors as a basis of atypical antipsychotic action by looking over dopamine receptor occupancy, differential effects at the striatal versus extrastriatal dopamine D2 receptor, D2 receptor affinity and Koff consideration, effects for psychotic symptoms.

8.Patterns of medical accidents and disputes in the orthodontic field in Korea.
Young Hoon KIM ; Chung Ju HWANG
The Korean Journal of Orthodontics 2014;44(1):5-12
The committee of admitted doctors developed a questionnaire regarding medical dispute and distributed it to 1,600 members of Korean Academy of Orthodontics. The questionnaire consisted of three categories and 56 items covering basic information about the doctors and patients who had experienced medical disputes, the cause and workaround of medical accidents, and methods for taking precautions. The present survey showed a similar proportion of responders who had experienced a medical accident compared to the study in 1997. The primary reason for medical disputes was dissatisfaction with appearance. Many doctors felt that they would likely experience a medical dispute at some point. Most disputes were settled by doctors themselves, usually for an amount of less than 5 million Korean won. For some doctors, medical accidents lead to ongoing psychological problems. Responders felt that continuing education for medical dispute is very necessary. These results reveal a need for the association of orthodontists to lead advancements in education and countermeasures for preventing and managing medical accidents and disputes.

Journal of the Korean Radiological Society 1992;28(5):760-762
An echogenic lobulated round mass in the head of pancreas was found during abdominal ultrasonography for routine checkup on a 34 year-old man. CT and MRI showed characteristic findings of lipoma. Clinical followup confirmed intrapnacreatic lipoma, which had been reported only once proviously. This lesion should be added to the list of benign connective tissue tumor of the pancreas.
