Objective To investigate the change of eNOS,the spermatogenic cell proliferation,apoptosis in mouse testis exerted by alcohol. Methods The immunohistochemical staining method for detecting of eNOS,PCNA,TUNEL method for detecting of apoptotic cells and the satistics analysis were used in the present study. Objective To explore the optimal b value in MR DWI for breast.Methods Forty patients with palpable masses of breasts underwent MR and DWI at b = 1000, 800 and 600 s/mm2 before surgery according prospective planning. Visual assessment, signal to noise ratio (SNR) of DWI and the ADC values of benign and malignant lesions were compared among three b values using one-way ANOVA test.The diagnostic value of ADC were analyzed by ROC curves.Results Of the 40 patients, there were 26 patients with malignant lesions and 14 patients with benign lesions verified by histopathology.36 patients with 42 lesions were examined by DWI, and detectabilities at three b values were alike.Most DWI at b = 1000, 800 and 600 s/mm2 were of high quality, and images of grade A were 75.0% (30/40), 77.5% (31/40) and 77.5% (31/40), respectively.Mean SNR at b = 1000, 800 and 600 s/mm2 were 63 ± 22,82 ± 27 and 96 ± 29 respectively.Compared with one another, there was statistically significant difference (P <0.01).Mean ADC of benign lesions at different b values were (1.44 ± 0.28) × 10-3, (1.50 ± 0.32) × 10-3 and (1.52±0.29) × 10-3 mm2/s respectively. Compared with one another, there was no statistically significant difference (P = 0.725).Mean ADC of malignant lesions were (1.00 ± 0.25) × 10-3, (0.98 ± 0.19) × 10-3 and (1.07 ± 0.22) × 10-3 mm2/s respectively.Compared with one another, there was also no statistically significant difference (P = 0.358).The area under the ROC curves at b = 1000,800 and 600 s/mm2 were 0.879,0.885 and 0.865 respectively.Threshold value to distinguish benign and malignant lesions were 1.295 × 10-3,1.435×10-3 and 1.335×10-3 mm2/s respectively.Sensitivity of diagnosing breast cancer were 80.0%, 92.0% and 84.0%, and specificity were all 90.0% . Positive predictive values were 95.2%, 95.8% and 95.5% at b = 1000, 800 and 600 s/mm2.Conclusion Combining SNR and the value of ADC in diagnosing benign and malignant breast lesions, the study indicated that b = 800 s/mm2 was the optimal b value in breast DWI.

Objective:To check the effect of immunosuppressants as adjuvants for DNA vaccine to prevent autoimmune disease.Methotis:Three immunosuppressants,Cyclosporin A(CsA),Tacrolimus(FK506)and Mycophenolate Mofetil(MMF)Were combined with DNA vaccine of Multiple Sclerosis(MS)and injected intramuscuarly.The splenocytes of immunized mice were checked for regulatory T cells(Treg),T cell proliferation and maturation of dendritic cells(Dcs)as well as release of intereleukin 10(IL-10).The immunized mice were induced as EAE animal model to check the preventive effect of FK506 as adjuvant.Results:More Treg cells Were induced in the mice immunized with FK506 and DNA vaccine and also T cell proliferation Was suppressed.DCs maturation Was blocked and high level of IL-10 in DCs Was induced in mice treated with FK506 and DNA vaccine.The clinic scores of EAE were significantly decreased in mice treated with FK506 and DNA vaccine compared with other control groups.Conclusion:FK506 as adjuvant of DNA vaccine can stimulate Treg cells and immune tolerance,then prevent from the autoimmune disease.

To examine the feasibility of using a computer tool for stratifying the severity of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) based on computed tomography (CT) images. We retrospectively examined 44 confirmed COVID-19 cases. All cases were evaluated separately by radiologists (visually) and through an in-house computer software. The degree of lesions was visually scored by the radiologist, as follows, for each of the 5 lung lobes:0, no lesion present;1,<1/3 involvement;2,>1/3 and<2/3 involvement;and 3,>2/3 involvement. Lesion density was assessed based on the proportion of ground-glass opacity (GGO), consolidation and fibrosis of the lesions. The parameters obtained using the computer tool included lung volume (mL), lesion volume (mL), lesion percentage (％), and mean lesion density (HU) of the whole lung, right lung, left lung, and each lobe. The scores obtained by the radiologists and quantitative results generated by the computer software were tested for correlation. A Chi-square test was used to test the consistency of radiologist- and computer-derived lesion percentage in the right/left lung, upper/lower lobe, and each of the 5 lobes. The results showed a strong to moderate correlation between lesion percentage scores obtained by radiologists and the computer software (r ranged from 0.7679 to 0.8373, P < 0.05), and a moderate correlation between the proportion of GGO and mean lesion density (r=-0.5894, P<0.05), and proportion of consolidation and mean lesion density (r=0.6282, P<0.05). Computer-aided quantification showed a statistical significant higher lesion percentage for lower lobes than that assessed by the radiologists (x2 = 8.160, P = 0.004). Our experiments demonstrated that the computer tool could reliably and accurately assess the severity and distribution of pneumonia on CT scans.
