Objective: To explore myocardial protection effect of artificial subhibernation therapy on rabbits with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and its possible mechanism. Methods: A total of 24 rabbits were randomly and equally divided into sham operation group, AMI control group and AMI subhibernation group. Changes of their body temperature, heart rate and respiratory frequency were observed. Serum concentration of creatine kinase isoenzyme (CK-MB) was measured by immunosuppression method, and plasma concentration of norepinephrine (NE) was measured by high performance liquid chromatography-electrochemical method. Percentage of myocardial infarct area in left ventricular area (I/LV) and apoptosis index (AI) were compared between two AMI groups. Results: Compared with control group 4 h after establishment of AMI model, there were significant decrease in body temperature [(37.333±0.427)℃ vs. (34.988±0.488)℃], I/LV [(19.281±1.687)% vs. (16.263±2.275)%] and AI [(36.636±1.671)% vs. (34.521±1.356)%], and concentration of CK-MB [(759.863±64.111)U/L vs. (560.225±65.837)U/L] and NE [(200.475±43.581) ng/ml vs. (143.813±43.383) ng/ml] in subhibernation group, P<0.05,or <0.01, but there were no significant changes in heart rate and respiratory frequency between two groups. Conclusion: Artificial subhibernation therapy possesses significant myocardial protection effect on rabbits with acute myocardial infarction through reducing stress response, inducing low temperature and inhibiting cell apoptosis etc.

Objective To investigate the effect of miR-15b and miR-16 on the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) protein in human embryonic lung fibroblast (HLF) cells under hyperoxia. Methods The expression level of miR-15b and miR-16 was up-regulated and down-regulated in HLF cells by transfection technology, respectively. The expression of VEGF protein in HLF cells was assessed by Western blot.Furthermore, under hyperoxia exposure in vitro, the expression of miR-15b, miR-16 and VEGF protein in HLF cells was analyzed. Results Up-regulation of miR-15b and miR-16 suppressed VEGF protein expression, while down-regulated miR-15b and miR-16 promoted VEGF protein expression. In addition, hyperoxia exposure induced up-regulation of miR-15b and miR-16, but down-regulation of VEGF protein in HLF cells. Conclusions Hyperoxia exposure may up-regulate the expression level of miR-15b and miR-16, but suppress VEGF protein expression. These may contribute to the development of bronchopulmonary dysplasia.

ObjectiveTo assess the related risk factors of myocardial lesion in diabetes patients and the value of ultrasonic integrated backscatter in the assessment. MethodsThirty diabetes patients, which were divided into two groups based on their blood pressure, and twenty controls undergone conventional echocardiography and ultrasonic integrated backscatter analysis. Data reflecting the glycemic control (FA) were also collected and analyzed.ResultsThere was a significant difference in IB%, CVIB and THIB% between diabetes patients and controls. Greater THIB% was shown in diabetes patients with hypertension compared to that of diabetes patients without hypertension. THIB% correlated with FA significantly. Conclusions Hypertension and the poor glycemic control are two risk factors to myocardial lesion in diabetes patients. The ultrasonic integrated backscatter is useful in assessing the effects of the two factors to the myocardial lesion in diabetes patients.

Objective:To investigate the safety and effect of complete mesocolie excision (CME) combined with arterial infusion chemotherapy (AIC) and intra-peritoneal interstitial sustained-release chemotherapy (IPISRC). Methods:A total of 104 patients were classified under the experimental group and underwent CME combined with AIC and IPISRC. The other 98 patients were classified un-der the control group and only received radical surgery. Pre-and post-operative blood routine examinations, as well as liver and kidney function tests, were conducted for both groups. Post-operative adverse reactions and incidence of complications were recorded. Cancer and para-neoplastic tissues were sampled in experimental group. The post-surgery 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) concentration in the drainage fluid as well as those in the peripheral blood , were determined. Three-year follow-ups were conducted, during which the local recur-rence rate, liver metastasis, progression-free survival rate, and total survival rate were recorded. Results: No significant differences were found in the white blood cell count, hemoglobin count, liver and renal functions of the patients before and after the surgery, and rate of adverse reaction and complications between the two groups after surgery (P>0.05). In experimental group , the 5-FU concentra-tion was significantly higher in the cancer tissues than in the para-neoplastic tissues . The 5-FU concentration in experimental group was also significantly higher in the intra-peritoneal drainage liquid and reached its peak in the peripheral blood on day 3 post-surgery . Local recurrence and liver metastasis rates were significantly lower in experimental group than those in control group, whereas the pro-gression-free and three-year overall survival rates were significantly higher in experimental group than in control group (P<0.05). Con-clusion:The tharepy of pations of experimental goup is safe and effective. This method significantly improves the progression-free and three-year survival rates of the patients as well as significantly reduces the local recurrence and liver metastasis rates of colon cancer.

Objective To determine the feasibility and safety of transprostatic utricle seminal vesiculoscopy in the treatment of hemospermia. Methods Totally 11 patients with hemospermia, mean age of (46.6 ± 3.5) years, ranging from 38 to 68 years, for 3 months admitted from September 2012 to August 2015 were enrolled, Their main manifestations were hemospermia. Painful ejaculation was observed in 7 patients, and perineal and testicular pain occured in 4 patients. They all underwent transprostatic utricle seminal vesiculoscopy, and then were followed up for 3 to 6 months. Results Ten patients were operated successfully, but 1 patient failed. The operation revealed that the causes of hemospermia were seminal vesiculitis in 8 cases, seminal vesiculitis accompanied with seminal calculi in 2 cases, and ejaculatory duct cyst in 1 case. Operation time was (29.2 ± 3.2) min ( ranging from 25 to 37 min) , and hospital stay was 2 d ( from 2 to 4 d). Hemospermia disappeared in 10 patients within 1 month of surgery, and hemospermia recurrence was observed in 1 patient within 6 months. The patient was treated with transprostatic utricle Holmium laser incision, then hemospermia was dispeared,Two cases of postoperative epididymitis were cured after one week of antibiotic treatment. Conclusions Seminal vesiculoscopy is a safe and effective to treat hemaospermia.

OBJECTIVEDiscuss the trade-off between vegetative growth and reproductive growth.
METHODVegetative modules and reproductive modules by large sampling were separated and quantitative charecters of organs and pattern of reproductive allocation were analysed of reproductive allocation were analysed.
RESULTThe phenotype plasticity of quantitative charecters were significant. Reproductive biomass was increasing at different stages. The mass of reproductive investment increased significantly with increasing individual size, the opposite of reproductive allocation. There were all significant positive correlations between the seeds weight and height, total biomass, vegetative biomass, reproductive biomass, fruit numbers, fruit weight.
CONCLUSIONThe significance of phenotype plasticity is the cause of multiple elements. In the process of transferring from vegetative growth to reproductive growth, there was a trade-off between organs. Under individual growth and reproductive strategy, the variation of biomass was allocated coordinately.
