1.Treating Cancer-related Fatigue after Chemotherapy in Lung Cancer Patients by Yiqi Jianpi Recipe: a Clinical Study.
Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2015;35(9):1069-1073
OBJECTIVETo evaluate the clinical efficacy of Yiqi Jianpi Recipe (YJR) in treating cancer-related fatigue (CRF) after chemotherapy in lung cancer patients. Methods Totally 124 lung cancer patients were assigned to the treatment group (63 cases) and the control group (61 cases) according to random digit table. All patients received pre-set chemotherapy regimens according their conditions. Patients in the treatment group took YJR Decoction from the 1st day of chemotherapy, one dose per day for 2 successive weeks, while those in the control group took no Chinese medical decoction. Changes of each dimensional scoring and the total scoring were observed by cancer fatigue scale (CFS) in the two groups one day before chemotherapy, on the 3rd day and the 14th day after chemotherapy. The degree of bone marrow depression and recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (rhG-CFS) doses were also observed after chemotherapy.
RESULTSCompared with one day before chemotherapy in the same group, scorings for emotional, perceptional, and somatologic dimensions, and the total scoring significantly increased on the 3rd day in the treatment group, as well as on the 3rd and the 14th day in the control group (P <0. 01). Scorings for emotional, perceptional, and somatologic dimensions, and the total scoring significantly decreased more at the fourteenth day after chemotherapy than at the 3rd day after chemotherapy (P <0. 01). There was statistical difference in the scoring for perceptional dimension at day 3 between the treatment group and the control group (P <0.01). However, scorings for emotional, perceptional, and somatologic dimensions, and the total scoring significantly decreased more at the fourteenth day after chemotherapy in the treatment group, with statistical difference when compared with those in the control group (P <0. 01). The occurrence rate of bone marrow depression was 70. 97% (44/62) in the treatment group and 68. 85% (42/61) in the control group. There was no significant difference in the occurrence rate between the two groups (χ2=0. 540, P >0.05). There was no statistical difference in rhG-CFS doses between the two groups (χ2=0. 696, P >0. 05).
CONCLUSIONYJD could significantly relieve CRF after chemotherapy in lung cancer patients, and obviously attenuate the effect of CRF on their daily life.

Objective To set up an antibody-capture ELISA method to detect the Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV)antibody. Methods ELISA plate was coated with the monoclonal antibody which was specific to the envelope protein epitope E39 of JEV,JEV SA14-14-2 strain as the source of antigen was used to absorb the monoclonal antibody, the absorbed virus used to capture the JEV'S antibody. The antibody that captured ELISA was established. The indirect ELISA method using the virus particles from cell culture was compared with coating ELISA plate,105 clinical serum were checked. Results The background in indirect ELISA assay could not be abscised, positive and negative serum diluted in a ratio of 1:10,1:100,1:1000,the relative value of A posative/A negative were 1.02,0.99,1.13,all<2.1.But the antibody-captured ELISA method when the serum dilution was 1:10,1:100,the A posative/A negative were 3.57,2.94,all>2.1;when the dilution was 1:1000,the A posative/A negative was 1.42,<2.1,it meant the method could distinguish the positive and negative serum efficiently when the dilution Was 1:100,the background problem in indirect ELISA assay could be solved.Antibody-capture method was used to check 105 serum samples, the A posative/A negative over a range of 0.257~0.321(0.262±0.050),all<2.1,no positive sample found. Conclusion The antibody-capture ELISA method has been preliminary set up with a high specificity, capable of quickly identifying JEV from other virus.

Cho and So studied, with horseradish peroxidase retrograde tracing technique, the initial delay time and the rate of regrowth of damaged retinal ganglion cell axons regenerating into the autologous sciatic nerve implanted into the retinae in adult hamsters. This is the only report, to our knowledge, on the rate of regeneration of damaged central neuron axons. The present experiment tackles this issue using autologous sciatic nerve transplantation into the dorsal horn of the damaged spinal cord in adult rats, a model introduced by David and Aguayo, and visualized the regenerating axons with anti-neurofilament monoclonal antibody immunohistochemical method. Our results are as follows: the minimum initial delay time of the regenerating spinal axons in peripheral nerve grafts is 4 days. After which axons continue to regrow into the grafts within a definite period, suggesting different initial delay time for different regenerating axons. The regenerating spinal axons differ in their rate of regrowth, the fastest rate being 2.14 mm/d.
6.Effect of Tumor Promoter PMA on Cell-mediated lmmunity Ⅲ. PMA Inhibits Antigen Presentation by Spleen Adherent Cells

Chinese Journal of Immunology 1986;0(04):-
TNP-conjugated spleen adherent cells (SAC) from normal BALB/c mice could stimulate lymph-node T lymphocytes (LNT) of 1, 3, 5-trinitrobenzene (TNCB) -primed syngeneic mice to proliferate in vitro. The proliferative response was suppressed when phorbol myristic acetate.(PMA) was present in the culture. SAC pretreated with PMA also suppressed markedly the response. Furthermore, PMA was shown to inhibit interleukin-1 (IL-1) production and/or secretion by macrophages in response to LPS stimulation in vitro. Therefore, the suppressive effect of PMA on antigen presentation seems to be due to its inhibitory effect on IL-1 production and/or secretion.

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of dynamic changes of CD4~+ CD25~+ regulatory T cells(Treg)in patients subject to allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplanta- tion(alIo-HSCT).Methods Forty-five patients received allo-HSCT.The graft-vesus-host disease (GVHD)was prevented by cyclosporine A and short-term MTX regimen in 31 patients.Fourteen of all the patients received Zenapox(CD25MAb)at the day of transplantation and day 4 after transplan- tation. The levels of Treg in peripheral blood were detected by flow cytometry from 45 patients at 2nd,4th,8th and 12th week after allo-HSCT and the time of aGVHD development,respectively.Re- suits Anti-CD25 could suppress the peripheral blood levels of Treg significantly. The Treg levels were significantly higher in patients with grade 0-1 aGVHD than those with 2-4 aGVHD at 8th and 12th week after transplantation.Among patients with 2-4 aGVHD,Treg levels were significantly low- er after development of aGVHD than before. Conclusions Treg are important for the aGVHD preven- tion and can be a useful clinical surveillant index for the development of aGVHD.It can significantly decrease the levels of Treg in the peripheral blood with anti-CD25.
8. Diagnosis and treatment of primary retroperitoneal tumor
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2010;30(5):545-548
Objective:To summarize our experience on the diagnosis and surgical treatment of primary retroperitoneal tumor (PRPT). Methods: The clinical data of 315 patients with primary retroperitoneal tumor (from Jan. 2000 to Jun. 2008) were retrospectively analyzed, and the clinical experience on diagnosis and treatment was summarized. Results: The ratio of benign to malignant tumors in our group was 0. 55 : 1. Totally 294 patients received operation, including 161 cases of radical resection,69 cases of combined resection, and 64 partial palliative resection. Twenty-one patients received no operation. The prognoses of patients who received radical resection for malignant tumors were significantly improved compared with those of patients who received partial palliative resection (P<0. 05). Conclusion: Imaging diagnosis can effectively identify PRPT. Complete resection is the key for treatment of PRPT,and reoperation is an effective treatment for recurrent PRPT.
