Objective To describe the prevalence and change of rationing of nursing care (RNC) in medical and surgical units of level 2 and level 3 general hospitals across Guangdong province. Methods RNC were measured by asking nurses about the completion status of 12 necessary nursing care activities, and the prevalence of RNC in 2014 was compared with the study results from the China Hospital Nursing Workforce Research(CNWR) in 2009 (exclusively using the data of Guangdong province) to describe the change of RNC. Results Six activities were rationed averagely in 2014, and the most frequent activities rationed wereComfort/talk with patients accounted for 69.8% (975/1 396) andEducating patients and familiesaccounted for 67.3%(940/1 396). According to the CNWR in 2009, the average number of nursing care activities rationed was 3 which was statistically lower than the number in 2014 (P < 0.01). Conclusions RNC is prevalent in level 2 and level 3 general hospitals across Guangdong province, especially psychosocial care to the patients; the prevalence of RNC has not decreased since 2009.

Objective The control rate of blood pressure in hypertension patients is very low in our country , while follow-up intervention can significantly improve the situation .This study aimed to evaluate the clinical effects of anti-hypertension under follow-up intervention . Methods From October 2013 to October 2014 , 125 patients with hypertension were chose as the study objectives after first clinical anti-hypertension and were divided into intervention group (follow-up,n=65) and control group(no follow-up,n=60). Comparative analysis was made in blood pressure control , compliance with therapy and cardiovascular event incidence between the two groups after 12 weeks'intervention. Results After 12 weeks, diastolic and systolic blood pressure in intervention group was signifi-cantly lower than that in control group (P<0.05).Significant difference was also found in the compliance with drug-taking between in-tervention group and control group (73.8%vs 43.3%, P<0.01).During the follow-up period, 1 case in the control group suffered stroke and unstable angina pectoris hospitalized for treatment . Conclusion Follow-up intervention after clinical service can improve the efficacy of blood pressure control and encourage the patients to live healthy lifestyle .

Objective To establish a closed-chest pulmonary embolism-reperfusion animal model by Swan-Ganz catheter and to explore the mechanisms of pulmonary embolism(PE)-reperfusion injury(RI). Methods Experiments were made on 14 mongrel dogs, ranging in weight from 15 to 18 kg,anesthetized with 3% pentobarbital sodium. The dogs were intubated with I.D.7 endotracheal tubes.Under sterile conditions,a 7 F Swan-Ganz catheter via the external jugular vein was positioned in the unilateral pulmonary diaphragmatic lobe(DL)artery.Occlusion/reperfusion of the DL artery was controlled with 1.2 ml diluted contrast agent filled into/drawn from the balloon. After the 24 h PE,the balloon was deflated to result in 4 h reperfusion of the DL.Measurements of blood gases and tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?)were made at normal condition,at 24 h PE and at 4 h reperfusion.Thin-section CT scans were performed at normal condition,24 h PE,30 min,1,2,3 and 4 h reperfusion, respectively. At the end of each experiment, tissue specimens of bilateral diaphragmatic lobes were obtained for both wet/dry(W/D)weight ratio and for pathological study. Results Reperfusion pulmonary edema(RPE)was an acute, mixed, noncardiogenic edema that was observed in all 14 dogs who had been successfully established as PE/RI animal models.RPE demonstrated heterogeneous ground-glass opacifications that predominated in the areas distal to the recanalized vessels. It manifested pathologically as an edematous lung infiltrated by inflammatory cells. The mean ofPaO_2 and TNF-? of 4 h reperfusion was(81?4)mm Hg(l mm Hg=0.133 kPa)and(16.0? 2.5)pg/ml,which were significantly different(P

Objective To investigate the correlation of single nucleotide polymorphisms( SNP) of rs228648 and rs2890565 in urotensin Ⅱ (UTS2)gene with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS). Methods The genotypes of two SNPs in UTS2 gene were determined through polymerase chain reaction Tin-shift genotyping method. 101 Chinese Han families trios in Shandong Province consisting of fathers, mothers, and affected daughters with PCOS and 105 healthy women were recruited. The physiological and biochemical parameters including serum follicular stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone( LH),testosterone, fasting plasma glucose, and insulin were also measured. Results The distributions of three genotypes and two alleles of SNP rs228648 in UTS2 gene were similar between PCOS group and control group. The distributions of genotypes of SNP rs2890565 in UTS2 gene differed significantly between PCOS group and control group (P<0. 05). The frequency of A allele of SNP rs2890565 in UTS2 gene was significantly higher in PCOS group than that in control group( P<0.05). Transmission disequilibrium test(TDT) did not show significantly biased transmission of two different alleles from parents to affected daughters at rs228648 locus (P>0. 05) ,but showed an excess transmission of A allele from heterozygous parents to affected offspring at rs2890565 locus (P<0. 05). The carriers with GG genotype of SNP rs228648 had significantly higher HOMA-IR compared to those with AA and AG genotypes. The carriers with AA or AG genotype of SNP rs2890565 had significantly higher fasting plasma glucose and fasting insulin compared to those with GG genotypes. HOMA-IR in cases with AA genotype was significantly higher than that with GG genotype. Conclusions There is no association of SNP rs228648 with PCOS, but exists association with insulin resistance. The genetic polymorphism of UTS2 gene rs2890565 may be associated with PCOS,and the higher frequency of A allele is likely to contribute to PCOS.
