OBJECTIVETo investigate the diagnostic value of MRI in radial head fracture with forearm interosseous membrane injuries.
METHODSFrom December 2011 to December 2012,26 patients with fractures of capitulum radial in our hospital were collected. There were 15 males and 11 females, ranging in age from 21 to 53 years old, with an average of 37.6 years old. All the patients visited hospital within 72 hours after injuries. X-ray radiography of full ulnar radial length in injured side, CT in injured side (three-dimensional reconstruction if necessary) and MRI (including the elbow and wrist joints) were performed within a week after the injury. The MRI manifestations of the forearm interosseous membrane (with or without damage, the injured location and the injury degree ) and the fractures degree of radial head were observed and compared for the relativity.
RESULTSRadial head fracture from Mason type I to III was associated with the forearm interosseous membrane injury. Radial head fracture degree was positive correlated with forearm interosseous membrane injury degree (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONRadial head fracture with suspicious forearm interosseous membrane injury is necessary to take MRI for checking for any interosseous membrane injury and injury degree, then choose the right treatment for radial capitulum fracture, only in this way can be helpful for the functional recovery of elbow and forearm.

Objective Allergic rhinitis (AR) is studied extensively while nonallergic rhinitis (NAR) insufficiently in the recent years .The aim of this study is to describe the inflammation characteristics of different types of NAR . Methods Using the skin prick test , we investigated the characteristics , nasal cytokine levels , serum cytokine levels , and the proportion of peripheral blood Treg cells in 12 cases of AR, 10 cases of NAR with eosinophilia (EOS) syndrome (NARES), 12 cases of NAR without ES (NAR), and 11 control adults . Results The NARES patients had a signifi-cantly higher level of IFN-γ(28.89 [10.97-127.07] pg/mL) than the control (8.98 [7.88-14.90] pg/mL) and the NAR patients (7.92 [7.67-45.85] pg/mL) ( P<0.05) but a lower level of nasal IL-10 than the control ([3.97±0.68] vs [4.80±1.32] pg/mL, P<0.05) .The contents of nasal IL-4, serum IL-4, nasal IL-17 and ser-um IL-17 were all markedly higher in the AR and NARES groups than in the control (P<0.05).The proportion of CD4+CD25+FOXP3+Treg cells in the CD4+T cells in the peripheral blood was (4.5±1.3)%in the AR group and (4.0±1.8) %in the NARES group, both significantly lower than (6.5±1.0) %in the control group (P<0.05) and (6.5±1.0) %in the NAR group (P<0.05). Conclusion NAR was classified according to the EOS level into NARES and NAR without EOS, which had different mechanisms and manifestations of inflammation and similar inflammatory manifestations of Th 2 and Th17.The classification of rhinitis by the level of EOS has more practical significance .

OBJECTIVE: To observe the protective effects of Yanggan Lidan Granules (YGLDG) on carbon tetrachloride (CCl(4))-induced liver damage in mice and to find out its mechanism. METHODS: A model of chronic liver damage was established in mice by intraperitoneal injection of CCl(4). After three weeks, those model mice were treated with low-, medium-, high-dose YGLDG, Danning Tablets and bifendate respectively for four weeks. Then the levels of serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST), as well as the contents of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in liver tissues were detected. RESULTS: YGLDG could significantly reduce the levels of serum ALT and AST in model mice, and the content of MDA was obviously decreased while the content of SOD was increased in liver tissue. CONCLUSION: The therapeutic effect of YGLDG on mice with CCl(4)-induced liver damage is to relieve the seriousness of liver damage, and its mechanism may relate to reducing peroxidation activity in liver tissue.

Journal of Experimental Hematology 2012;20(1):214-218
Aplastic anemia (AA) is an autoimmune disease characterized by destruction of hematopoietic tissue resulting in hyperfunction of effector T-lymphocytes. Recent studies indicate that Th17 and Treg cells are functionally antagonistic each other, and the increase of Th17 cells and decrease of Treg cells are closely related with AA. In vivo experiments showed that both anti-IL-17 treatment and Treg cell infusion can protect against immune-mediated bone marrow failure in mouse with AA. This review summarizes the recent progress of study on imbalance of Th17/Treg cells in AA, so as to explore the pathogenesis of AA and provide approach to clinical treatment. The main problems that are discussed in this review include biological characteristics of Th17/Treg cells, the regulation of Th17/Treg cell balance and related cytokines, the relationship between Th17/Treg cells and AA.

Journal of Clinical Hepatology 2015;31(2):228-
ObjectiveTo investigate the relevant risk factors for early recurrence after microwave ablation for primary hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and to provide a reference for predicting and preventing tumor recurrence. MethodsA retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 80 patients who had undergone microwave ablation for primary HCC at the Beijing You′an Hospital, Capital Medical University, Beijing, China (2010-2012). Factors possibly influencing early recurrence were selected for univariate analysis using logistic model. Risk factors for early recurrence of HCC after ablation were screened out for identifying the high-risk population and further guiding treatments against recurrence. ResultsThere were 30 cases of recurrence in 6 months after ablation, accounting for a recurrence rate of 375%. Univariate analysis showed that no significant differences occurred between the recurrence and non-recurrence groups in age, gender, tumor location and size, family history of HCC, drinking history, HCC resection history, preoperative alpha-fetoprotein level, liver function Child-Pugh grade, MELD score, or HCC-related causes (P>0.05). In contrast, the number of tumors (≥2) significantly differed between the two groups (P=0.008). ConclusionThe number of tumors is an independent risk factor for early recurrence among patients after microwave ablation for HCC. High-risk population can be predicted according to the risk factors for early recurrence after microwave ablation for HCC. Targeted preventive measures should be taken for early detection and timely treatment of tumor recurrence.
