1.Therapeutic Observation of Electroacupuncture plus Umbilical Moxibustion for Gastrointestinal Dysfunction after Gynecological Abdominal Operation

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture plus umbilical moxibustion in treating gastrointestinal dysfunction after gynecological abdominal operation.Method Totally 112 eligible patients undergone gynecological operation were randomized into group A of 37 cases, group B of 38 cases, and group C of 37 cases. Group A was intervened by electroacupuncture, group B was by umbilical moxibustion, while group C was by electroacupuncture plus umbilical moxibustion. After a treatment course, the symptom scores, restored time of bowel sounds, anal exhaust time, motilin (MTL), gastrin (GAS), and vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) contents were observed and compared, and the clinical efficacies were compared between the two groups.Result The symptom scores of the three groups were significantly changed after the intervention (P<0.05). After the treatment, the symptom score of group C was significantly different from that of group A and B (P<0.05). The restored time of bowel sounds and anal exhaust time in group C were significantly different from that of group A and B (P<0.05). The MTL, GAS, and VIP contents of the three groups were significantly changed after the intervention (P<0.05). The MTL, GAS, and VIP contents of group C were markedly different from that of group A and B (P<0.05). The total effective rate was 86.5% in group A, versus 81.6% in group B and 97.3% in group C. The total effective rate of group C was significantly different from that of group A and B (P<0.05).Conclusion Electroacupuncture plus umbilical moxibustion is effective in treating gastrointestinal dysfunction after gynecological abdominal operation.
2.Effect of Acupuncture plus Psychological Intervention on 5-HT, OFQ and E2in Patients with Postpartum Depression

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus psychological intervention in treating postpartum depression and its effect on 5-hydroxy tryptamine (5-HT), orphanin FQ (OFQ) and estrodiol (E2).MethodTotally 158patients with postpartum depression were randomized into an acupuncture group, a psychological intervention group, and a treatment group, 52 cases in the acupuncture group, and 53 cases respectively in the psychological intervention group and treatment group. The acupuncture group was given acupuncture, the psychological intervention group was given psychological intervention, while the treatment group was given acupuncture plus psychological intervention. After 6-week treatment, the clinical efficacies, the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) score, Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) score, Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) score, 5-HT, OFQ, and E2were observed.ResultThe total effective rate was 92.5% in the treatment group, versus 79.2% in the psychological intervention group and 76.9% in the acupuncture group. TheRiditanalysis showed that the therapeutic efficacy of the treatment group was significantly superior to that of the psychological intervention group and acupuncture group (P<0.05), while there was no significant difference between the acupuncture group and psychological intervention group (P>0.05). After treatment, the HAMD score, SAS score, SDS score, 5-HT, OFQ, and E2levels were significantly different from those in the acupuncture group (P<0.01); after treatment, the HAMD score, SAS score, SDS score, 5-HT, OFQ, and E2levels of the treatment group were significantly different from those in the psychological intervention group (P<0.01); after treatment, the HAMD score, 5-HT, OFQ, and E2levelsof the psychological intervention group were insignificantly different from those of the acupuncture group (P>0.05), while there were significant differences in comparing the SAS and SDS scores between the two groups (P<0.01).ConclusionAcupuncture plus psychological intervention can markedly enhance the clinical efficacy in treating postpartum depression, improving HAMD score, decreasing SAS and SDS scores, and regulating the 5-HT, OFQ, and E2levels.
3.Effects of hyperosmolality on expression of urea transporter A2 and aquaporin 2 in mouse medullary collecting duct cells.

In this study, the effects of hyperosmolality on the expression of urea transporter A2 (UTA2) and aquaporin 2 (AQP2) were investigated in transfected immortalized mouse medullary collecting duct (mIMCD3) cell line. AQP2-GFP-pCMV6 and UTA2-GFP-pCMV6 plasmids were stably transfected into mIMCD3 cells respectively. Transfected mIMCD3 and control cells were cultured in different hypertonic media, which were made by NaCl alone, urea alone, or an equiosmolar mixture of NaCl and urea. The mRNA and protein expression of AQP2 was elevated by the stimulation of NaCl alone, urea alone and NaCl plus urea in AQP2-mIMCD3 cells; whereas NaCl alone and NaCl plus urea rather than urea alone increased the mRNA and protein expression of UTA2 in UTA2-mIMCD3 cells, and all the expression presented an osmolality-dependent manner. Moreover, the mRNA and protein expression of UTA2 rather than AQP2 was found to be synergistically up-regulated by a combination of NaCl and urea in mIMCD3 cells. It is concluded that NaCl and urea synergistically induce the expression of UTA2 rather than AQP2 in mIMCD3 cells, and hyperosmolality probably mediates the expression of AQP2 and UTA2 through different mechanisms.
4.Relationship between Lipid Factors and Enhanced Hypotension of Older Coronary Heart Disease with Multiple Branch Lesions

Objective To investigate the effect of intensive antihypertensive treatment on lipid-related indexes of elderly hypertensive combined coronary heart disease, and to assess the clinical indexes for predicting the severity of coronary artery lesions. Methods A total of 1 250 elderly patients with hypertension combined with coronary artery disease were included as study subjects from 2021.1 to 2023.1, and were randomly divided into conventional antihypertensive treatment group and intensive antihypertensive treatment group. Fasting blood lipids were collected before treatment, and at the end of 1 course of treatment, coronary angiography (CAG) and fasting blood lipids were detected, and the Gensini (GS) score was performed according to the results of CAG. We compared the lipid-related indexes of the two groups and analyzed the correlation between the lipid-related indexes, the ratio of the lipid-related indexes, and their correlation with the GS score. Results After treatment , TG , TC , LDL-C decreased and HDL-C increased in both groups of patients; After treatment, the levels of TC, LDL-C, TC/TG, and LDL-C/HDL-C in the intensified antihypertensive treatment group were lower than those in the conventional antihypertensive treatment group, while TG/LDL-C was higher than that in the conventional antihypertensive treatment group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in TG , HDL-C , and VLDL-C between the two groups after treatment (P>0.05).In multiple factor adjusted regression analysis , LDL-C/HDL-C was positively correlated with GS score (OR=1.442 , 95% CI : 1.146-1.814 , P<0.05) . Conclusion Compared with conventional antihypertensive treatment, TC, LDL-C, TC/TG, LDL-C/HDL-C decreased significantly and TG/LDL-C increased significantly in elderly patients with hypertension combined with coronary artery disease after intensive antihypertensive treatment; there was a certain correlation between TC, LDL-C, TC/TG, LDL-C/HDL-C, TG/LDL-C, and the severity of coronary artery lesions in elderly patients with hypertension combined with coronary artery disease. LDL-C/HDL-C can be used as a clinical indicator to assess the severity of coronary artery lesions.
5.ZEB1 regulates the radiosensitivity of gastric cancer cell AGS by up-regulating ATM expression

Objective To investigate the effect of Zinc finger E-box binding homeobox protein 1 (ZEB1) on the radiosensitivity of gastric cancer cells AGS and its possible mechanism. Methods AGS cells were irradiated by X-rays at different doses (0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 Gy). Western blot was used to observe the expression of ZEB1 in cells. AGS cells, in logarithmic growth phase, were transfected with of ZEB1 gene or its interference plasmids, the corresponding control plasmids ( pcDNA3. 1 ) and negative control interference plasmids. They were classified as overexpression ZEB1 group, silencing ZEB1 group, control group and negative control group, respectively. The effect of overexpression and silencing ZEB1 on the survival of AGS cells after irradiation were analyzed by colony formation assay. The cell apoptosis rate was analyzed by flow cytometry. The expressions of histone H2A (H2AX), phosphorylated H2AX (γ-H2AX) and telangiectasia mutated gene (ATM) were detected by Western blot. Results The expression of ZEB1 in AGS cells was dependent on radiation dose (F=58. 57, P<0. 05). Overexpression of ZEB1 increased AGS cells viability, inhibitedγ-H2AX expression (t=12. 18, P<0. 05), blocked cell apoptosis (t=7. 27, P<0. 05) and up-regulated ATM expression in time-dependent manner after irradaition (F=165. 70, P <0. 05). Silencing ZEB1 reduced AGS cells viability, increased γ-H2AX expression ( t =12. 88, P<0. 05) and cell apoptosis (t =8. 36, P <0. 05), and down-regulated of ATM expression (F=44. 80, P<0. 05). Conclusions ZEB1 regulates the radiosensitivity of gastric cancer AGS cells by up-regulating ATM expression.
