Objective To compare the ameliorating effect of collagen peptide chelated calcium (CPCC) and estrogen on the bone quality in ovariectomized rats in order to serve the development of safe drugs for prevention of osteoporosis (OP).Methods Bilateral ovariectomized rats were divided into ovariectomized group (OVX),sham group,17β-estradiol injection group (OVX+E2) and CPCC gavage group (OVX+CCCP).Bone and serum indices of these groups were assessed and compared at 9 weeks after treatment. Results Bone density of the OVX group was significantly lower than the sham group (P<0.01),indicating that the rat OP model was successfully established.Like estrogen,CPCC inhibited the abnormal changes of all indices and maintain similar levels with those of the sham group (P>0.05),while the body weight gain of the E2 group at weeks 8 and 9 was significantly lower than those of the sham group (P<0.01).As regarding the prevention of bone loss, the Mg and Ca levels of the E2 group were significantly lower than those of the moderate and high dose CPCC groups. The Cu level was not significantly different compared with the sham group, while those in the moderate and low dose CPCC groups were significantly higher than the sham group. The Mn,Zn and hydroxyproline levels of the E2 group were significantly lower than those of the sham group, while the CPCC group maintained levels similar to that of the sham group. In regarding to the inhibiting effect on the increased blood BGP and StrACP,the E2 group was still maintained at levels similar to that of the OVX group, while those of the CPCC group were significantly lower than the OVX group. As regarding the decreased blood Ca,the E2 group was not significantly different with that of the OVX group, while that of the CPCC group was significantly higher than the OVX group. Conclusions CPCC is more effective than estrogen in ameliorating the bone quality of ovariectomized rats.

Objective To analyze the distribution status of soil-transmitted nematodes infection for prevention and treatment. Methods The inquiry field test and grade random sampling were emplyed on a group of people naturally selected in Shanxi Province. The people were examined through pathogen test and statistical diagnosis. Results A total of 7 726 people were investigated.Soil-transmitted nematodes infection rate was 18.86%.Ascaris,enterobius,trichuris,and hookworm was 15.87%,11.46%,0.82%,and 0.04% respectively. The intensity of ascaris infection was 97.74%,1.60%,and 0.66% respectively in light, moderate, and serious conditions, and that of trichuris infection was 88.89%,7.41%,and 3.70% respectively in light, moderate, and serious conditions. Conclusions Soil-transmitted nematodes infection rate is lower than that in 1992.Its cases are mainly distributed in rural areas and schools, closely related to education level.Improving water-drinking conditions and personal hygiene is still key to the prevention and control of the infections.

Objective:To explore the reasons and management strategies for re-rupture during clipping of ruptured intracranial aneurysms.Methods:Twenty-one patients with ruptured intracranial aneurysms, accepted clipping by micro-craniotomy in Department of Neurosurgery, Huaihe Hospital of Henan University from May 2015 to October 2021, were chosen in our study. All patients suffered re-rupture at different intraoperative stages. The clinical characteristics, aneurysm parameters, prognoses and complications were retrospectively analyzed. Combined with the relevant literature, the causes and essential treatments for re-rupture at different intraoperative stages were summarized. Results:The average age of these 21 patients was 65 years. All patients were accompanied by disturbance of consciousness at admission. Hunt-Hess grading III was noted in 16 patients and Hunt-Hess grading IV in 5. Anterior communicating artery aneurysms were noted in 12 patients, posterior communicating artery aneurysms in 6, and middle cerebral artery aneurysms in 3; multiple saccular aneurysms were noted in 12 patients and irregular aneurysms in 4; large aneurysms were noted in 18 patients and giant aneurysms in 3. Among the 3 patients with re-rupture at the early stage of clipping (before aneurysm separation), 2 were died and 1 was severely disabled; among the 14 patients with re-rupture at the middle stage of clipping (during separation of aneurysm from its parent artery), 3 had cerebral infarction and 3 had severe disability after surgery; among the 4 patients with re-rupture at the late stage of clipping (after clipping of the aneurysm neck), 2 had cerebral infarction and 2 had severe disability. Conclusion:Patients would trend to have re-rupture during clipping of ruptured intracranial aneurysms in cases that patients have older age, severe diseases and special parameters (locations, shapes, volumes) of the aneurysms, surgeries are operated by inexperienced operator, or surgeries have improper intraoperative operations; during any period of the surgery, the separation and clamping should be fine and gentle to avoid excessive traction.

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and prognostic factors of limited-stage small cell lung cancer ( LS-SCLC) treated with 125 I radioactive seed implantation guided by CT combined with systemic chemotherapy. Methods A total of 128 limited-stage small cell lung cancer patients were treated with 125 I radioactive seed implantation combined with chemotherapy from Jun 2008 to Jun 2012 in Tianjin Medical University Second Hospital. Theχ2 test was used to analyze the influencing factors of short-term efficacy. Survival rate was calculated by Kaplan-Meier method, single factor analysis was performed by Log-rank, and multivariate analysis was performed by Cox proportional hazard model. Results Totally 128 patients finished the treatment. The overall response rate was 86.7% ( 111/128 ) after 6 months of treatment. The 1-, 2-and 3-year overall survival rate was 77.9%, 39.8%and 28.0%, respectively, and the median survival time was 21.0 months. The univariate analysis showed that the following factors were main prognostic factors:age, performance status ( PS) , hemoglobin≥120 g/L before treatment, smoking index, the maximum diameter of tumor, neuron-specific enolase before treatment, subscribe for prophylactic cranial irradiation ( PCI) , number of chemotherapy cycle, chemotherapy response, prescribed dose ( PD ) , postoperation dose covering 100% volume ( D100 ) , remedial model. multivariate analysis revealed that age, PS, hemoglobin≥120 g/L before treatment and PD, the maximum diameter of tumor, number of chemotherapy cycle, chemotherapy response, and remedial model were the independent prognostic factors for survival. 29 patients of 128 suffered from aerothorax and the incidence rate of aerothorax was 27.7%. Totally 16 patients occurred hemoptysis and theincidence rate was 12.5%. Conclusions 125 I radioactive seed implantation therapy showed good effecacy in the treatment of LS-SCLC. Age, PS, hemoglobin≥120 g/L before treatment, the maximum diameter of tumor, number of chemotherapy cycle, chemotherapy response, and remedial model might be the main prognostic factors for LS-SCLC patients.

The construction of wound repair discipline in China is still at the initial stage of exploration, and there is no systematic and mature experiences to learn from. The Luzhong Hospital of Beijing University established a professional committee for wound repair, opened a mobile workstation for wound repair, established a wound repair alliance and quality control center, advocated a medical-care integrated treatment model, and carried out academic exchanges and scientific research, the discipline of wound repair in Shandong Province got a rapid development and the pattern of "Zibo mode" of wound repair emerged. The authors introduce the experiences in construction of the discipline of wound repair in Zibo city, in order to provide some references for the grass-roots counterparts.
