A novel 2-( 2’-hydroxy-5’-chlorophenyl )-6-chloro-4 ( 3 H )-quinazolinone ( ELF-97 )-based fluorescent probe (P1) for hydrogen peroxide was prepared from 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde, 4-(bromomethyl) phenylboronic acid and 2-amino-5-chlorobenzamide, and its structure was characterized by 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR and HRMS. Weak fluorescence intensity was observed at 425nm when the solution of probe P1 was excited by 360 nm UV light. After addition of H2 O2 , however, emission peak at 425 nm disappeared while strong peak emission at 515 nm appeared with the same excitation wavelength ( 360 nm ) . The fluorescence intensity at 515 nm was dependent on the concentration of H2 O2 in the linear response range of 5-45 μmol/L. The detection limit of H2O2 was 0. 1 μmol/L (S/N=3) and the recovery rates of added H2O2 in milk were in the range of 94 . 0%-106 . 0%. Probe P1 was potential to become a useful tool for rapid detection of hydrogen peroxide.
2.Effects of Moment-to-Force Ratio on Canine Translation by Numerical Analysis
Journal of Medical Biomechanics 2020;35(5):E581-E586
Objective To study the influence of different moment-to-force ratios (M/F) and forces on canine displacement and periodontal ligament (PDL) stress. Methods A three-dimensional (3D) mandibular model was established based on CT images. The orthodontic force systems without a moment and with various M/F were applied to the canine for numerical calculation of its translation. An optimum force system to realize canine translation was validated by analyzing translation displacement of the canine in each case. Results The PDL stress increased with an increase in force magnitude in all cases. The PDL stress first decreased with an increase in the M/F before the M/F reached the optimum value (M/F=10.1 mm), and then increased with an increase in the M/F. The initial displacement of the canine was inclined movement, which was most close to translation when the precise optimum M/F was applied. Conclusions The canine movement requires an appropriate force to prevent root absorption, whereas the translation movement requires an optimal M/F value which is within the physiological range. Understanding the influence of force and moment on tooth translation can help to apply more reasonable orthodontic force system and design more reasonable orthodontic device.

Chinese Journal of Trauma 2021;37(7):600-605
Objective:To explore the effect of tension-reducing distraction of external fixators for limb wound closure. Methods:A retrospective case series study was made on data of 21 patients with refractory limb wounds admitted to 920th Hospital of Joint Logistics Support Force of PLA from January 2016 to July 2019. There were 15 males and 6 females, aged 11 to 56 years [ (37.8 ± 11.2)years]. The lower-limb wounds were found in 15 patients and the upper-limb wound in 6 patients. The area of wound defect ranged from 1.2 cm × 1.0 cm to 22.0 cm × 17.1 cm. After debridement of the limb wound, the tension-reducing distraction of Ilizarov external fixators was used according to the shape and location of the wound. Distraction was applied at a rate of 1 mm/d starting at postoperative day 1 and the direction of distraction was adjusted according to the angle of skin closure of the trauma. The wound reduction distraction time and wound healing time were recorded. The wound healing score was used to evaluate wound healing at postoperative 5 days and 30 days. Complications were recorded according to the Paley classification. The wound survival curve was plotted to observe the time of wound tension reduction and traction and wound healing. The final wound healing was detected as well. Results:All patients were followed up for 3 to 9 months [(4.5 ± 1.7)months]. The wounds were significantly reduced after reduction and distraction, with the reduction time of 6-23 days [(7.8 ± 2.3)days] and the wound healing time of 15-47 days [(23.0 ± 3.3)days]. The wound healing score was (3.2 ± 0.9)points at postoperative 5 days and (0.7 ± 0.2)points at postoperative 30 days ( P < 0.05). There were 15 problems,0 disorder, and 0 sequelae according to the Paley classification of complications. The wound survival curve showed the median time of reduction and distraction and wound healing was 16 days and 34 days, respectively. All patients showed wound healing without recurrence,of which 10 were healed directly,8 by implants and 3 by sutures. Conclusion:For patients with limb wounds difficult to be treated by flap coverage, the tension-reducing distraction of external fixators can effectively close the wound, fasten wound healing, shorten treatment period, and has fewer complications and a low recurrence rate.
