1.Analysis of IgM of pathogens of respiratory tract infection in 14 379 cases

Objective To detect the IgM antibodies and epidemiology of pathogens of respiratory tract infection in children ,and to provide the basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment .Methods The serum of 14 379 outpatient and inpatient cases in Tianjin Children′s Hospital from March 2015 to February 2016 were detected by indirect immunofluorescence ,and the respiratory tract in‐fections of different gender ,season ,age and pathogens were analyzed .Results Totally 3 392 specimens (23 .59% ) were positive for IgM antibody detection and the positive rate of MP with 18 .77% was highest ;361 cases were mixed infection ,mainly including two kinds of infection pathogens .The positive rate of respiratory pathogens in male with 21 .46% was significantly lower than in female patients with 33 .92% (χ2 = 274 .73 ,P < 0 .05) .The positive rate in different ages groups (0 - 30 d ,- 6 months ,- 1 years ,- 3 years ,- 9 years ,- 18 years) were 0 .2% ,1 .8% ,15 .36% ,34 .46% ,39 .73% and 30 .73% respectively ,the highest infection rate was found between 3 to 9 years old children ,and the differences among groups were statistically significant (χ2 = 1 407 .87 ,P<0 .05) .The highest rate of MP were found in autumn (24 .42% ) and winter (23 .01% ) ,the highest rate of Influenza B virus (IFu B) was found in spring (15 .13% ) ,the positive rate of Legionella pneumophila (LP) was high in summer (0 .78% ) and autumn (0 .80% ) .Comparison with the 15 departments ,the children of otolaryngology with the positive rate of 43 .9% was the highest . Conclusion The infection ratios of respiratory pathogens were related to gender ,season ,age and pathogen .These findings provided an important reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment in different seasons and population .
2.Correlation of short and medium-term efficacy and refracture rate with osteoporosis severity following percutaneous kyphoplasty of thoracolumbar fracture

Objective To examine the short-and middle-term efficacy and refracture rate in patients with thoracolumbar fracture having percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP) and determine their correlation with the severity of osteoporosis.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 247 patients with thoracolumbar fracture undergone PKP from January 2008 to February 2014.Mean age of the patients (94 males and 153 females) was 63.2 years (range,50-81 years).Ground-level falls occurred in 119 patients,traffic injuries in 72 patients and high falls in 56 patients.The patients were assigned to osteopenia group and osteoporosis group based on the preoperative bone mineral density.Visual analogue score (VAS),Roland-Morris disability survey scale (RDQ),vertebral compression rate,kyphotic Cobb angle and refracture rate were recorded before and after operation.Efficacy in correlation with the severity of osteoporosis was evaluated.Results Mean duration of follow-up was 24.3 months (range,18-36 months).Three days after operation,VAS descended from (7.7 ± 2.1) points to (4.3 ± 1.1) points in osteopenia group and from (7.7 ± 2.0) points to (4.2 ± 1.5) points in osteoporosis group (P < 0.05);RDQ descended from (21.2 ± 1.5) points to (10.4 ± 2.5) points in osteopenia group and from (20.8 ± 1.9) points to (11.2 ± 1.7) points in osteoporosis group (P < 0.05);rate of vertebral body compression descended from (42.2 ± 10.5) % to (3.2 ± 0.5) % in osteopenia group and from (46.2 ± 12.7) % to (2.9 ± 0.8) % in osteoporosis group (P < 0.05);kyphotic Cobb angle descended from (21.2 ± 9.5) ° to (7.2 ±2.4) °in osteopenia group and from (23.1 ± 8.9) ° to (7.1 ± 2.6) ° in osteoporosis group (P < 0.05).Three years after operation,all the parameters remained better than these before operation,with the value higher in osteoporosis group than in osteopenia group (P < 0.05).Rate of refracture was higher in osteoporosis group after operation,compared to that in osteopenia group (P < 0.05).Conclusions The clinical short-term result is satisfactory,but refracture rate is increased with the osteoporosis aggravation.Targeting osteoporosis therapy is important to obtain a better mid-term results.
3.The relationship between frizzled 6 gene polymorphisms and neural tube defects in children of northern Han Chinese population

Objective To study the association of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the frizzled 6(FZD6) gene with neural tube defects(NTDs) in a northern Han Chinese population.Methods Three nonsynonymous SNPs in the FZD6 gene (rs827528,rs3808553,rs12549394) were examined.The SNPs were genotyped by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and sequencing in 135 NTD patients and matched normal controls.The allele,genotype and haplotype frequencies were calculated and analyzed to examine the association between FZD6 SNPs and NTDs.Results Both T allele and TT genotype frequencies of the rs3808553 polymorphism in the NTDs group were significantly higher than those in the controls,and children with T allele and TT genotype were associated with increased risk of NTDs (OR =1.575,95% CI 1.112-2.230,P =0.010 and OR =2.811,95% CI 1.325-5.967,P =0.023 respectively).There were no significant differences among different genotypes or alleles in both rs827528 and rs12549394.Haplotypes AG-C and A-T-C were found associated with NTDs in the case-control study (OR =0.560,95% CI 0.378-0.830,P=0.004 and OR=1.670,95%CI 1.126-2.475,P =0.011 respectively).Conclusions The rs3808553 polymorphism of FZD6 is obviously associated with NTDs in children of northern Han Chinese population.The TT genotype may increase the risk for NTDs.The rs827528 and rs12549394 polymorphisms of FZD6 may have no association with NTDs.

Objective: To investigate the anticancer action of taurine and its potential mechanisms. Methods: 101 weanling female SD rats were randomly divided into four groups. They were:(1)control group (CL):fed a basic diet;(2)high fat group(HF):fed a high fat diet (10% lard);(3)taurine group (Tau):fed a taurine diet (5% taurine);(4)taurine and high fat group(TH):fed a mixed diet (5%taurine and 10% lard). 10mg DMBA were given to each rat by gavage at age of 6 weeks. Then the rats were fed assigned diet for 26 weeks. By 5 weeks after DMBA administration the rats were palpated once weekly and the time, size, location of each tumor were recorded. To study the changes of skeletal muscle proteolysis in severely burned patients with sepsis and analyze its possible mechanism, the blood, 24h urine and quadriceps femoris muscle samples were collected from nine severely burned patients with sepsis (the burn sepsis group) and nine patients with plastic operation (the control group). The plasma concentrations of cortisol and TNF ? were determined with radioimmunoassay. The urinary output of 3 methylhistidine (3 MH) in 24h urine were assessed with high performance liquid chromatography. The expressions of ubiquitin mRNA and C 2 mRNA in quadriceps femoris muscle were determined by Northern blot analysis. The protein expressions of ubiquitin in quadriceps femoris muscle were determined by immunopathology. 6.Influence of gender differences on nuclear factor-kappa B activation in livers in septic rats

Objective To investigate the influence of gender differences on NF-kB activation in livers in septic rats. Methods Total 20 female and 20 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups.Tissue samples of the livers were collected to measure NF-kB activation by EMSA.The level of plasma ALT,TNF-?and estrogen were measured also. Results NF-kB activation in normal male and female rats has no significant difference (P>0.05).After stimulated by LPS,the level of NF-kB activation and ALT,TNF-?in plasma were markedly upregulated,and the index of female group lower than that in male group (P<0.01).The level of NF-kB activation in livers and ALT,TNF-?in plasma both in male and female have significantly negative correlation with the level of estrogen in plasma (P<0.05 ).Conclusion There are significantly gender differences on NF-kB activation in livers in septic rats.Estrogen may decrease the injury of livers in septic rats.
7.Correlation of soluble thrombomodulin and high sensitive C reactive protein with hypercoagulability in children with primary nephrotic syndrome

Objective To explore the correlations of soluble thrombomodulin (sTM) and high sensitive C reactive protein(hs-CRP) levels with the hypercoagulable state and indicators of predicting thrombosis in children with primary nephrotic syndrome(PNS).Methods Sixty-four PNS patients who had primary clinical diagnosis or recurrence after hormone withdrawal for 6 months or more hospitalized in Department of Urology,the Second Children's Hospital of Tianjin from January 2010 to January 2014 were selected as PNS group.Thirty patients with inguinal hernia undergoing elective surgery hospitalized in Department of Surgery,the Second Children's Hospital of Tianjin from January 2010 to January 2014 were selected as control group.All the selected patients were extracted for venous blood samples,and the double-antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to detect plasma sTM levels,while immunoturbidimetric assay was used to detect plasma hs-CRP levels;the indicators of predicting thrombosis as blood lipid and fibrinogen(Fb) etc.were simultaneously detected.Inspection results were compared and the correlation was analyzed by using statistical methods.Results The level of plasma sTM in children with PNS was significantly higher than that in the control group[(1.63 ±0.68) μg/L vs.(0.30 ±0.24) μg/L],and the difference was statistically significant between the 2 groups (t =12.545,P < 0.05).The level of plasma sTM in PNS group with urine protein negative was significantly lower than that before hormone treatment[(1.05 ± 0.56) μg/L vs.(1.63 ± 0.68) μg/L],and there was a statistically significant difference(t =6.298,P < 0.05).The level of plasma sTM in children with PNS had positive correlation with 24 h urinary protein,low density lipoprotein,apolipoprotein B,lipoprotein a and Fb (r =0.379,0.203,0.184,0.177,0.224,all P < 0.05).The level of plasma hs-CRP in children with PNS was significantly higher than that in the control group [(1.9 ± 1.7) mg/L vs.(0.7 ± 0.6) mg/L],and the difference was statistically significant between the 2 groups (t =3.487,P < 0.05).In PNS group,the level of plasma hs-CRP with urine protein negative was significandy lower than that before hormone treatment[(0.4 ±0.3) mg/L vs.(1.9 ± 1.7) mg/L],and there was a statistically significant difference (t =5.473,P < 0.05).The level of plasma hs-CRP in children with PNS was negatively correlated with plasma albumin (r =-0.194,P < 0.05),but positively correlated with Fb (r =0.257,P < 0.01).Plasma sTM and hs-CRP levels in children with PNS were positively correlated (r =0.395,P < 0.05).Conclusions sTM involves in the formation process of PNS hypercoagulable state possibly through dual influencing by blood coagulation process and blood lipids.sTM may be used as one of the reference indicators for PNS activity and prediction of thrombosis.Plasma hs-CRP reflects the micro-inflammatory state in children with PNS,and involves in the formation of hypercoagulability by effecting blood coagulation process,and should be used as indicators for monitoring the hypercoagulability of active PNS.

OBJECTIVETo study polar constituents of Mosla Chinensis.
METHODThe constituents were isolated and purified by various chromatographic techniques and their structures were elucidated by physico-chemicalproperties and spectroscopic data.
RESULTSeven glucosides were obtained and their structures were identified as 4-hydroxy-2,6-dimethoxyphenyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1), 4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside (2), 3, 4, 5-trimethoxypheyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside (3), 3-hydroxyestragole-beta-D-glucopyranoside (4), (6S,9R) -roseoside (5), adenosine (6), and p-hydroxybenzoicacid glucoside (7).
CONCLUSIONAll compounds were isolated from the genus Mosla for the first time.

Objective To investigate the infection status and drug suscepetibility of mycoplasma from 6 573 patients with non-gonococcal urethritis ,and to provide the scientific bases for the clinical application of antibiotics .Methods Mycoplasma detection kit was used to detect ureaplasma urealyticum (Uu) and mycoplasma hominis(Mh) and the drug susceptibility .All the patients were divided into two groups :Chinese group and foreigner group .Results Among 5 675 Chinese patients ,2 985 patients were infected by mycoplasma(52 .6% ) .The infection rate of Uu was 2 312(40 .7% ) .35 .2% patients were male ,and 61 .4% patients were female .In 898 foreign patients ,440 patients were infected by mycoplasma(49 .0% ) .The infection rate of Uu was 327(36 .4% ) .32 .2% pa-tients were male ,and 59 .5% patients were female .In Chinese patients infected by Uu ,the susceptibility rates to MIN ,DOX ,JOS and CLA were 96 .7% ,96 .2% ,93 .7% ,89 .7% ,respectively .In foreign patients ,the susceptibility rates to MIN ,DOX ,JOS ,and CLA were 98 .9% ,98 .4% ,95 .8% ,92 .1% .Conclusion The mycoplasma infection rate of Chinese patients is higher than foreign patients .In both groups ,Uu infection is the main type .Female patients are more than male patients .The drug sensitivity rate in for-eign group is higher than that in Chinese group .mycoplasma are sensitivity to MIN ,DOX ,JOS .
