Objective There is a significant increase of squamous cell carcinoma antigen ( SCCA) in patients with common skin diseases .The aim of this study was to investigate the difference expression of serum SCCA in patients with common skin diseases . Methods A total of 497 patients with 14 kinds of common skin diseases from the Department of Dermatology were recruited , and the serum SCCA was measured . Results The positive rates of SCCA in 116 patients with psoriasis and 37 patients with erythroderma were 90 .5% and 100%, respectively .The common skin diseases with positive rate of SCCA greater than 60% includes eczema (61.7%), generalized dermatitis (65.1%),pemphigus (61.1%), bullous pemphigoid (62.2%).The SCCA values in pustulosa (1.76 ±1.22 ng/mL) and arthropathica psoriasis (1.69 ±1.05 ng/mL) were decreased compared with pustular (2.86 ±1.46 ng/mL) and arthropathica psoriasis (3.56 ±1.84 ng/mL) (P<0.05). Conclusion The SCCA value may have a relationship with the increase of the performance of keratinization and desquamation in the skin diseases , and it could be used as a valuable indicator for the diagnosis and treatment in patients with cutaneous diseases .

Objective To investigate the efficacy of acupoint injection of Astragalus on contents of SOD,HYP and MDA in skin of aging mice in-duced by D-galactose. Methods The mice were randomly divided into normal group,model group,Astragalus group,and saline group(n=15). Except for the normal control group,the mice of other groups were treated with continuous subcutaneous injection of D-galactose to establish mice ag-ing model. The Astragalus group mice was injected with 0.01mL Astragalus in Sanzuli acupoint per day,The saline group mice received an injection of same amount of saline. SOD,HYP and MDA changes in the skin tissue and serum were evaluated after 21 days. Results All the index in the skin tissue and serum showed significant difference(P<0.01)between model group mice and normal control group. Compared with model group,SOD activity and MDA content in the skin tissue and serum of the Astragalus group mice were significantly raised,HYP content was significantly reduced (P<0.01). There also were significant differences of these index between the saline group mice and the model group(P<0.05),but the effect was not as good as the Astragalus group mice. Conclusion Acupoint Injection of Astragalus can prevent and protect against skin aging induced by D-galactose.

OBJECTIVE:To discuss the regulation role of ginsenoside Rd,celastrol,arotinoid ethyl ester on MMP-1 and MMP-3 of the cultured fibroblasts of the human dermis in vitro. METHODS:The human dermis circumcision by surgical excision on newborn was obtained from Department of Surgery,Luzhou Medical College,and the informed consent obtained from patients. Culture of fibroblasts were as follow:①No treatment in the normal control group. ②Radiated with 80 kJ/m2 ultraviolet and treated by 100 mg/L 8-methoxypsoralen in the positive control group. ③Treated by ultraviolet radiation+8-methoxypsoralen+arotinoid ethyl ester in the arotinoid ethyl ester group. ④Treated by ultraviolet radiation +8-methoxypsoralen+triptolide in the triptolide group. ⑤Treated by ultraviolet radiation+8-methoxypsoralen+ginsenoside Rd in the ginsenoside Rd group. The triptolide group was divided into 3 groups with doses of 10,20,and 40 mg/L. The ginsenoside Rd group was divided into 3 groups with doses of 20,50 and 100 mg/L. The immunohistochemistry staining of MMP-1 and MMP-3 of the fibroblasts in each group was observed. RESULTS and CONCLUSION:The expressions of MMP-1and MMP-3 were significantly increased in the positive control group,which had a significant difference to the normal control group (P 0.05). The results demonstrated that:①Ginsenoside Rd and tripterine exhibit comparably effect on prevent and cure sun-induced aging skin. ②The wide ranges of effective concentration lead to little side effect to the body. ③ The action mechanisms of ginsenoside Rd,celastrol and arotinoid ethyl ester in preventing and curing sun-induced aging skin is adjusting the expressions of MMP-1 and MMP-3.

Objective To explore the therapeutic effect and the mechanism of allicin on experimental Behcet′s disease (BD) . Methods BD models were established .Then ,model mice were randomly divided into experimental group ,positive control group and negative control group ,with respectively nasogastric infusion allicin ,colchicine and saline respectively .Before and after treatment , the changes of the skin lesions were visually observed .Cytokines of IFN‐γ,TNF‐αand IL‐4 in serum were detected by ELISA anal‐ysis ,while the markers of T‐AOC ,MDA ,SOD and GSH‐PX by chemical colorimetric methods .Results After modeling ,ulcers ap‐peared on the back ,abdomen and genital of model mice with IFN‐γ,TNF‐α,IL‐4 and MDA elevation ,while T‐AOC ,SOD and GSH‐PX decrease .Twenty days of treatment later ,ulcer on mice in the experimental group and positive control group healed .After 30 days ,only two mice in the experimental group recurred ,while 6 mice in the positive control group ,which showed a significant differ‐ence between two groups (P<0 .05) .After treatment ,IFN‐γ,TNF‐αand IL‐4 levels in the experimental group were markedly low‐er than pretreatment (P<0 .01) ,but no significant difference compared with the positive control group (P>0 .05) .Meanwhile ,T‐AOC ,SOD and GSH‐PX levels in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the pretreatment ,but MDA was lower (P<0 .01) .In comparison with the positive control group ,levels of those markers in the experimental group changed remark‐ably (P<0 .05) .Conclusion Allicin is an effective drug in the treatment of experimental BD .The therapeutic mechanism of allicin may be the inhibition of inflammatory mediators and prevention of oxidative stress .

ObjectiveTo investigate the change of lipoxin A4 (LXA4), leuotriene B4(LTB4) in blood and urine and leukocyte 15-lipoxygenase (15-LO) of the children with acute poststreptococcal glomendonephritis (APSGN) and to evaluate its significance. MethodsBlood and urinary levels of LXA4 and LTB4 were measured with ELISA within 3 days (acute phase), 10 to 14 days (early resolution phase) and 6 to 8 weeks (late resolution phase) respectively after onset of APSGN in 22 patients. In 8 children with APSGN, expression level of leukocyte 15-LO mRNA was examined with RT-PCR. Leukocyte LTB4 synthesis was assessed with ELISA. Chemotactic effect of LTB4, LXA4 and 15-S-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (15-S-HETE) on neutrophils was determined by in vitro chemotaxis assay. Twenty-two healthy children were served as control. ResultsBlood and urinary levels of LXA4 and leukocyte 15-LO mRNA were up-regnlated in acute phase, further increased in early resolution phase, and decreased in late resolution phase of APSGN, which were stir higher than those in the controls (P＜0.01). Blood and urinary levels of LTB4 were increased in acute phase (P＜0.01) and then were decreased in early resolution phase and hte resolution phase of APSGN, which were still higher than those in the controls (P＜0.01). Administration of 15-S-HETE or LXA4 in vitro inhibited LTB4-induced chemotactic effect on neutrophils of the patients,and inhibited the production of leukocyte LTB4. ConclusionsChanges of blood and urinary levels of LXA4 and LTB4 in early resolution phase of APSGN are contrary. 15-S-HETE and LXA4may play a role in anti-inflammation and resolution of APSGN via inhibiting LTB4.

Objective To observe effects of Naotaifang on MMP-9, NF-κB and TIMP-1 after focal cerebral ischemia in rats. Methods The rats were randomly divided into sham operation group, model group, and Naotaifang low- (3 g/kg), medium- (9 g/kg), high- dose (27 g/kg) group. After 3 days of corresponding therapy by intragastric administration once a day, the regional cerebral ischemia model was made by middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) with suture method. Following 3 days, the rats were treated with previous method. On the third day, hippocampal C2 region of ischemic tissue was detected by HE dyeing. And the contents of MMP-9, NF-κB and TIMP1 proteins in hippocampal C2 region were measured by immunohistochemical method. Results The number of normal brain cells in high dose group of Naotaifang was more than that of the model group, and only a few cells appeared nucleus pycnosis. The MMP-9 expression of all dose groups of Naotaifang were significantly decreased than model group (P<0.05). The NF-κB expression of high and medium dose groups of Naotaifang were significantly decreased (P<0.05). The TIMP1 expression of all dose groups of Naotaifang were significantly increased compared with sham operation group (P<0.05). Conclusion The mechanism of Naotaifang protecting blood brain barrier against injury of cerebral ischemia may be involved in ameliorating MMP, NF-κB and increasing TIMP1 expression.

Objective To explore the effect of problem-based 1earning (PBL) combined with PICO model in clinical nursing internship teaching.Methods A retrospective case-control study was adopted,133 undergraduate nursing students in grade 2010 were selected as theexperimental group,and 128 undergraduate nursing students in grade 2009 were selected as the control group.The students in the experimental group received a teaching method which combined PBL with PICO model,while the students in the control group received traditional teaching methods.The two groups were evaluated by Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and questionnaire survey.Results The OSCE grade and evaluation of teaching method in the experimental group students were higher than the control group,the difference was statistically significant.Conclusions PBL combined with PICO model teaching methods are not only beneficial to cultivate and improve the clinical nursing competency and comprehensive qualities of the nursing students,but also let the students gradually learn and permeate the ideas of any decision made by clinician should be based on the scientific research results,which from the main thought of the evidence-based practice.It can lay a good foundation for going to work in the future,and is also worthy of being popularized and applied in clinical internship teaching of undergraduate nursing students.

Objective To discuss the mechanism of progesterone that soften brain water content in traumatic brain edema in rats. Methods The models of focal lobe contusion and laceration of brain were made on the male rats treated by the progesterone following injury. Immunohistochemical method was used to assess the expression of aquaporin-4 (AQP4). Evan's Blue method was used to detect the permeability of blood-brain barrier. Results Treated by the progesteron, the brain water content was significantly decreased, and the lower expression of AQP4 took place on astrocytes of the contusion and peri-contusion of the brain tissue after 24 h,72h ,and 120h . The content of EB was decreased at 6 h and 24 h post-injury. Conclusions Progesterone can soften the traumatic brain water content, which may be associated with the attenuation of AQP4 in frontal lobe contusion following traumatic brain injury ( TBI) and progesterone can protect the blood-brain barrier at early time after TBI.

Objective To assess the damage of limbic system pathways in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) tractography.Methods DTI tractography was used to acquire fiber numbers,fractional anisotropy (FA),mean diffusivity (MD) of cingulum,fornix,and uncinate fasciculus (UF) in 20 RRMS patients (MS group) and 20 healthy volunteers (control group),and statistical analysis was performed.Results Compared with control group,lower FA value (P＜0.01) and higher MD value (P＜0.05) were found in cingulum,fornix and UF of MS group,and the fiber numbers of fornix decreased in MS group (P＜0.001).There were significant differences between the left and the right UF in fiber numbers and FA value of control group and the fiber numbers of MS group.Negative correlations were found between FA value of cingulum and UF and EDSS scores in MS group (r=-0.572,-0.665,both P＜0.05),and positive correlations were found between MD value and EDSS scores (r=0.627,0.603,both P＜0.05).Conclusion DTI tractography is valuable in assessing MS associated limbic system damage and in monitoring the clinical progression of the disease.
