Flagellum is a slender and wavy protein-attached filament on the surface of certain bacterial cells. It not only plays an important role in the movement and pathogenic ability of bacteria, but also participates in a variety of host immune regulation. Flagellin is a structural protein that forms the main part of flagellar filaments and can be recognized by TLR5 and other receptors in the host cell to induce the body′s immune response. At present, flagellin is widely used in the research of new immune adjuvants due to its immune activation, and its inflammation inhibitory effect also has good prospects against immune pathological damage. In this review, we summarized and analyzed the recent progress on the basic structure and function of flagellin, the host recognition mechanism, and its role in regulating the host immune system.

Objective To investigate the clinicopathological characteristics of retransplantation for intrahepatic recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) after liver transplantation (LT).Methods In a center hospital of organ transplantation setting,9 patients after primary liver transplantation had intrahepatic recurrence and received retransplantation, and 12 patients in control group were not subjected to LT over the same period. The follow-up period was 10 to 58 months. Results As compared the pathological characteristics of secondary transplanted liver with primary thansplanted liver, there was significant difference in tumor differentiation (grade Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ)between primary group (33%,67% and 0) and secondary group (22%,22% and 56%) (P<0.01).After primary liver transplantation, median of tumor free survival was 15.0 months. After secondary liver transplantation, median of survival was 5.8 months, and median of tumor free survival was 2.5 months. In control group, median of tumor free survival was 13.0 months, and total survival survival was 17.6 months. In transplantation group and control group,1-,2-,and 3-year cumulative survival rate was 89%,44%,33% and 91%,45%,9% respectively, with the difference being not statistically significant (P > 0.05).Conclusion It is high risk of vascular invasion for tumor recurrence. The differentiation grade of recurrent tumor is lower. The sign of intrahepatic recurrence of HCC after liver transplantation may be early and local clinical characteristics of tumor cell disseminating and metastasis before and during operation, and it is not recommended to perform retransplantation.

Objective:Previous studies suggested that the-308G/A allele in the tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) gene promoter (-308G/A) may be a potential risk factor for inflammatory diseases and tumor progression. However, only a few studies have focused on the-308 polymorphism of TNF-αgene with primary lung cancer in Chinese population. This study aims to evaluate the role of TNF-α-308G/A single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and the risk of primary lung cancer in Chinese population. Methods:A total of 250 patients and 447 healthy individuals (control group) were involved in this study. Genotyping was performed using TaqMan technology. Results:The frequencies of (GG), (A/G), and (A/G+AA) genotypes of-308G/A SNP in TNF-αgene were 183 (73.2%), 67 (26.8%), and 67 (26.8%) in the patients, and 406 (90.8%), 39 (8.7%), and 41 (9.2%) in the control group, respectively. The distribution of poly-morphism frequencies in the case group and the control group showed a statistically significant difference for the Chinese population (P<0.05). Conclusion:Results indicated that TNF-αgene polymorphism at position-308G/A is associated with susceptibility to lung cancer in Chinese Han population.

Objective To detect the levels of IL-1, IL-6,TNF-αand IFN-γin serum and colon tissue of rat mod-els of ulcerative colitis with spleen and kidney Yang deficiency, and to explore their roles in the pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis ( UC) .Methods The rat model of ulcerative colitis with Yang deficiency of spleen and kidney was induced by perfusion of rhubarb decoction plus intramuscular injection of hydrocortisone and combined with TNBS (2,4,6-trinitro-benzenesulfonic acid) and ethanol enema.Sixty SPF wistar rats ( body weight 180 ±10 g, male:female=1:1) were ran-domly divided into blank control group, UC model with spleen kidney Yang deficiency for 7 days, 14 days and 21 days groups, respectively. The levels of IL-1, IL-6, TNF-αand IFN-γin serum and colon tissue were detected by ELISA.Re-sults Compared with the blank group, the levels of IL-1, IL-6, TNF-αand IFN-γin serum and colon tissue of rat UC model group with spleen kidney Yang deficiency were greatly increased (P<0.05), especially evidently increased in the model group at 21 days. Conclusions The pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1, IL-6, TNF-αand IFN-γplay an important role in the pathogenesis of ulcerative colitis with syndrome of spleen and kidney Yang deficiency.

Objective To detect mechanism of action mode of Jiuxieling Granules in spleen and kidney yang deficiency ulcerative colitis. Methods The perfusion of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma Decoction plus intramuscular injection of hydrocortisone and combined with TNBS and ethanol enema were employed to establish UC animal model. Ninety rats were randomly divided into blank group, model group, SASP group and Jiuxieling Granules 7 days, 14 days and 21 days groups. All treatment groups received relevant medicine intervention. The levels of IL-1, IL-6, TNF-α, and IFN-γin serum and colon tissue were detected by ELISA. Results Compared with the blank group, the levels of IL-1, IL-6, TNF-α, and IFN-γ in serum and colon tissues of rats in model group increased (P<0.05);compared with the model group, the levels of IL-1, IL-6, TNF-α, and IFN-γin serum and colon tissues of rats in treatment groups were reduced greatly (P<0.05), among which Jiuxieling Granules 21 days group showed the most obvious effects (P<0.05). Conclusion Jiuxieling Granules can regulate the normal secretion of the levels of IL-1, IL-6, TNF-α, and IFN-γin serum and colon tissue of model rats, and inhibit inflammation and protect colonic mucosa.

Chinese Journal of Plastic Surgery 2017;33(5):355-358
Objective:
To observe the efficacy and safety of micro-plasma technology for the treatment of stable scars.
Methods:
63 cases were divided into 4 groups, including burn scar group (28 cases), traumatic scar group(15 cases), acne scar group(10 cases), and hemangioma scar group (10 cases). Micro-plasma was performed every 2 months, 4 times as one session. Vancouver scar scale(VSS) was used to record the scar score and evaluate its clinical efficacy.
Results:
All of the scar points in four groups dropped significantly after treatment, showing significant difference between groups(

Chinese Journal of Hematology 2002;23(8):425-427
OBJECTIVETo evaluate the association between isolated trisomy 11 and the clinical, hematological, immunological, prognostic aspects in hematological malignancies.
METHODSBone marrow cell cytogenetic analysis was performed by direct method and/or 24 h culture method. RHG banding was used for karyotype analysis. Immunophenotype analysis was carried out by flow cytometry. Ten patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) were treated with HA regimen chemotherapy and followed up.
RESULTSThe isolated trisomy 11 was found in 11 of 1 * ! 763 hematological malignancies cases (0.6%). The diagnoses included 10 AML (6 M(2), 2 M(5), 1 M(1), 1 M(4)), and 1 myelodysplastic syndromes. Ten of them have no hepatosplenomegaly. The immunophenotypical analysis of leukemia cells showed positive for CD(13), CD(33) and CD(34) in 5 cases. Follow-up data were available in 10 cases. The complete remission rate was 40% with a median survival of 10 months.
CONCLUSIONThe isolated trisomy 11 was mainly seen in AML, especially in M(2) subtype. Their prognosis was poor.
