Objective:To study the differences of bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis in mice induced by intraperitoneal injection and intratracheal instillation of bleomycin. Methods:ICR mice (male,8 w of age,18 to 22 g bodyweight) were used.①ICR mice were randomly divided into three groups. In the group P,bleomycin was injected intraperitoneal five times in a dose of 40 mg/kg,and in the group I,bleomycin was instilled intratracheally in a dose of 5 mg/kg.The mice were killed at 14,28 or 40 day.②ICR mice were randomly divided into four groups : bleomycin was injected intraperitoneal three, four or five times in a dose of 40 mg/kg,and in the group control ,bleomycin was injected intraperitoneal in a dose of 200 μl for five times. The mice was killed at 28 or 40 day.The pathological changes and symptoms were observed.Results:① The weight of the mice given blemycine were lost after injection.Symptoms were more serious in group P than those of group I.The pulmonary coefficient of group P was more than that of group I.At 28 day after injection, fibrosis was widely and stably formed mainly in around the bronchia and bronchioles, especially, near the pulmonary hilar area,in the group I mice, however, the same changes were mainly seen under the pleura or perivascular pulmonary tissues in the mice of group P.The pathological score of pulmonary fibrosis was different between those two groups.②Different dose of bleomycine induced different change of the mouse's weight. The most of all of the three group were five time injection; The lung index of five time injection of bleomycine was the most. The pulmonary fibrosis mouse model was made successfully. After comparising all of the data,we found intraperitoneal of bleomycine five times was the more convenient method. Conclusion:The sites of pulmonary fibrosis in the mice are different between the mice induced by intraperitoneal injection or intratracheal instillation of bleomycin.Intraperitoneal injection five times is a more convenient method to make pulmonary fibrosis.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2009;34(7):924-928
The authors propose suggestions for definition of classification position, classification standard, nomenclature and naming methods of chemotype on discussing the significance of chemotype of medicinal plants. This classification of chemotype should be established in infraspecific categories of "forma". Chemotype identification mainly has two aspects. One is that the main constituents are distinct or one or two components are half or more than half of the total chemical content. The main constituents come from the same biosynthetic pathway and have some genetic stability. The other is the chemical variation is genetic. The chemotype of medicinal plants study on the classification has important theoretical and practical value for quality assessment, resource development and the genuine medicinal research. It also can ensure the safe and effective of clinical medicine.

Chinese Journal of Biotechnology 2010;26(5):576-581
Somatic cell cloning (nuclear transfer) is a technique through which the nucleus (DNA) of a somatic cell is transferred into an enucleated oocyte for the generation of a new individual, genetically identical to the somatic cell donor. It could be applied for the enhancement of reproduction rate and the improvement of food products involving quality, yield and nutrition. In recent years, the United States, Japan and Europe as well as other countries announced that meat and milk products made from cloned cattle are safe for human consumption. Yet, cloned animals are faced with a wide range of health problems, with a high death rate and a high incidence of disease. The precise causal mechanisms for the low efficiency of cloning remain unclear. Is it safe that any products from cloned animals were allowed into the food supply? This review focuses on the security of meat, milk and products from cloned cattle based on the available data.

Myostatin, a member of the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-beta) family, is a negative regulator for muscle growth. Loss of the function of this gene is associated with the phenotype described as "double muscling", an extreme form of muscle development characterized by a large increase in muscle mass. Two replacement vectors, pA2T-Mstn4.0 and pA2T-Mstn3.2, were constructed, linearized, and transfected into the bovine fetal fibroblasts through electroporation. 170 drug-resistant cell colonies were obtained in cell culture medium containing 600 microg/mL G418 and 50 nmol/L GCV. Targeted homologous integration occurred in colony No. 58 as identified by PCR, and the targeted colony was further confirmed by sequencing and Southern blotting. This suggested that one allele of myostatin was successfully mutagenized in bovine fetal fibroblasts.
