Objective To discuss the efficacy of photoselective vaporization of the prostate(PVP) for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Methods From July 2006 to August 2007,110 patients with BPH received PVP in our hospital.The safety of the procedure,Pre- and postoperative Qmax,and IPSS of the cases were recorded and analyzed.Results The mean operation time was(51.2?36.3) minutes(ranged from 15 to 180).In the patients,23 cases had a prostate weighed ≥100 g,9 of them received TURP during the procedure.89 patients underwent bladder irrigation for 15 to 48 hours(mean,36 hours).After the operation,urinary catheter was left indwelling in all the patients except for 6(

Objective To study the kindness trait of personality of pupils in grade 5 and 6,and to explore its relationship with childhood abuse. Methods 172 elementary school students were investigated by applying Female had higher scores of generosity, altruism, honesty and kindness trait than male ((41.1±4.4) vs (37.6±6.6),(19.2±3.9) vs (17.1±4.6),(17.3±3.0) vs (15.3±3.5),(77.6±8.8) vss (69.9±12.6), F=tions on kindness trait(P<0.05). Sexual abuse had not predictable functions on kindness trait (P>0.05). Con-clusion There are significant differences of kindness trait among subjects with different genders. Childhood abuse can severely impact the development of kindness trait of personality in puerile.

Objective To study and analysis the MRI characteristics of common intracranial ring enhanced lesions.Methods MRI studies of 32 cases intracranial ring enhanced lesions were reviewed retrospectively,all cases were confirmed by surgery or pathology and anti-inflammatory treatment.Results Among 32 cases of Intracraninal ring enhaneed lesions included 12 glioblastomas,10 metastases,5 brain abscesses,2 craniophrayngiomas,1 tuberculosis granuloma,1 neurocysticercose,1 multiple sclerosis.On the whole,the malignant tumors displayed obviously heterogeneous thickness of the walls,especially the inner walls were uneven and coarse,While the non-tumor lesions demonstrated,regular shapers,smooth inner walls and even thickness of the walls.Conclusion Intracranial ring enhanced lesions has a specific MRI finding and can supply important diagnostic value.

Objective To discuss the microsurgery approaches and the prevention and treatment of complication about the tumors in cerebellopontine angle.Methods The 53 cases with cerebellopontine angle brain tumor were retrospectively analyzed.Results In all 53 patients,the tumor of 23 cases were full-resected,29 cases' tumor were resected more then 3/4,only one cases' tumor was partly treated.Following operation,one case died,5 cases had hearing decreasing,3 cases had severely facial nerve weakness and non hearing,10 cases had facial nerve anaesthesia,futhermore there was one case with long-period coma because of the injury of brain stem.Conclusion The important factors that decrease the complications of cerebellopontine angle tumor surgery include surgery approachs,operating experience and mechanism of complication.

Objective To explore the effect of operative treatment of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage.Methods 386 cases with hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage were retrospectively analysed,hematoma was removed through big bone flap and small skull window,or drainage and urokinase infusion with small hole puncture.Results 39 cases died(10.1%),according to ADI grade system:Ⅰ 106 cases(27.4%),Ⅱ 136 cases(35.2%),Ⅲ 50 cases(13%),Ⅳ 43 cases(11.1%),Ⅴ 12 cases(3.2%).Conclusion To increase the cure rate and life quality,and obtain a lower mortality,it is a key to do surgical operation such as microsurgery or drainage and urokinase infusion.

An analysis of the existing incentives mechanism of performance appraisal for community health service centers, and insight into the challenges for linking the post performance appraisal in community health service centers with incentive measures. It is pointed out the administrators should take a variety of measures including material incentive, target incentive, knowledge incentive, and emotional incentive among others. In addition, such measures should be used sophistically, flexibly and reasonably, while timing of incentives should meet the human resource needs of the institution, notably a combination of positive incentive with negative ones,, mostly the former incentive.

A brief description of performance appraisal as used in the healthcare sector, and an analysis of problems existing in performance appraisal for posts in community heahhcare organizations in the country. The paper proposes a job-analysis based performance appraisal for such posts, featuring the appraisal model of "performance + skills + attitude+ work intensity". On the basis of work analysis, a job description should be worked out for such healthcare workers as doctors, nurses and prevention workers in community healthcare organizations, aided by a targeted job-based performance appraisal system. These efforts can effectively enhance the job performance in such organizations, catering to the healthcare needs of community residents.

Objective To study the mediating effect of big five personality between childhood abuse and anxiety of college students, and to provide basis to intervene their mental disorder.Methods Through stratified sampling,2374 college students in Jiangsu were investigated by the personal report of childhood abuse( PRCA),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) and the revised NEO five-factor Inventory(NEO-FFI-R).A path analysis was applied by analysis of moment structures(AMOS) version 7.0.Results The path analysis showed that childhood abuse was directly related to anxiety of college students(Sβ=0.123, P＜0.01 ＝ ,and was directly related to 4 dimensions of the NEO-FFI-R( exclusion Openness dimension) (Sβ= -0.216 ～ -0.248,0.309; P ＜ 0.01 ＝.3 dimensions of the NEO-FFI-R( exclusion Openness and Extraversion dimensions) were directly related to anxiety of college students ( Sβ = 0.525,-0.045 ～-0.052, P ＜ 0.05 ＝.Agreeableness, conscientiousness and neuroticism of NEO-FFI-R mediate the relationship between childhood abuse and anxiety of college students.The model fit indexes were x2/df = 0.546 ＜ 3.000, P = 0.460 ＞ 0.050, RMSEA = 0.001 ＜ 0.050, GFI = 1.000, AGFI = 0.998, NFI = 1.000, RFI = 0.998, IFI = 1.000,TLI = 1.002, CFI = 1.000.Conclusion Big five personality as mediated variable mediates the relationship between childhood abuse and anxiety of college students.

Objective This study examined the value of soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 (sTREM-1)in serum and exhaled ventilator condensate (EVC)in early diagnosis and prognosis of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). Methods A total of 37 adult patients undergoing mechanical ventilation were evaluated after treatment,including 24 patients with infection,13 without infection.Of the 24 patients with infection,10 patients were assigned to ineffective subgroup and 14 to effective subgroup.Levels of sTREM-1 in serum and EVC were measured on days 1,3,5,and 7 for all patients.sTREM-1 in serum and EVC were determined in patients by double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbant assay (DAS-ELISA).The early diagnostic and prognostic value was assessed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC)curve analysis.Re-sults On Day 1,the sTREM-1 levels in serum and EVC did not show significant difference between the three groups (P>0.05).On Day 3 and Day 5,the level of sTREM-1 in the infection group was higher than that in the non-infection group (P <0.01).On Day 7,the sTREM-1 levels of serum and EVC in ineffective subgroup were higher than those in the effective subgroup and non-infection group (P <0.01). There were no difference between the non-infection group and effective subgroup (P >0.05).For ROC analysis,area under the curve (AUC)of serum sTREM-1 was 0.897,and AUC of EVC sTREM-1 was 0.909 on Day 3.When the cut-off value of EVC sTREM-1 was set at 4.70 ng/mL on Day 3,the sensitivity was 85.8%,specificity was 92.3%.Conclusions The results suggest that the levels of sTREM-1 in serum and EVC are conducive to the early diagnosis of VAP.The levels of sTREM-1 in serum and EVC on Day 7 are helpful for estimating the prognosis.EVC sample is easier to collect than serum.

Objective To investigate the relationship between endoscopic diagnosis and pathological nature of gastric mucosal leukoplakia. Methods Analysis of gastric mucosal leukoplakia patients’ endoscopic features and pathological characteristics of last 3 years. Results Endoscopic diagnosis was made in 116 cases of gastric mucosal leukoplakia. Samples were gray white, round, round shaped or patchy in general observation. Diameter was 0.2 ~1.6 cm, foam cell aggregation appeared in the natural layer of mucous membrane in 88 cases (75.9 %), with varying degrees of inflammatory cells infiltration. The foam cells accumulation were observed in high rate among the gastric mucosal leukoplakia cases. Conclusion Pathological changes of gastric mucosal leukoplakia is gastric xanthoma with chronic inflammation of mucosa.
