Objective To evaluate the effect of Xingqi Tongfu Pad on the intestinal functions of children with acute abdomen after surgery. Methods The random digit table was used to randomize 146 patients with acute abdomen into treatment group (n=71) and control group (n=75) according to their registration number. In the control group, the patients only received normal treatment and nursing, while those in the treatment group received Xingqi Tongfu Pad for the acupoint application in addition to routine treatments. The two groups were compared in terms of the time of bowel sound recovery , the exhaust defecation time and gastrointestinal dysfunction score. Results The bowel sounds and the first exhaust and defecation in the treatment group appeared obviously earlier than those in the control group . The score on gastrointestinal dysfunction in the treated group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Xingqi Tongfu Pad can promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function after abdominal operation. It deserves popularization for its positive effect, cheap price and easy operation.
2.Effect of different tips of posteriors in extraction treatment on three-dimensional forces of teeth with clear aligners
STOMATOLOGY 2023;43(2):104-109
Objective:
To investigate the three-dimensional forces in real-time at different tips of the posteriors created by clear aligners on maxillary teeth during en-masse retraction of anteriors after 2 first premolars extraction treatment.
Methods:
Four groups of maxillary models with different tips of posteriors(T1-upright of posteriors, T2-posteriors with distal inclination of 5°, T3-posteriors with mesial inclination of 5°, T4-posteriors with mesial inclination of 10°) undergoing 0.25 mm en-masse retraction treatment using clear aligners were simulated on a multi-axis force/torque transducer measurement system. When each clear aligner was inserted, a computer connected to the transducer collected and recorded the three-dimensional force of every tooth in real-time. Each group included 12 aligners.
Results:
Incisors received smaller lingual and extrusive forces; canines received greater distal forces; smaller mesial forces were observed on the posteriors, and molars received greater buccal and extrusive forces in T2,compared with T1,which showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05). Incisors received smaller lingual and extrusive forces; canines received greater distal forces; greater mesial forces were observed on the posteriors, and molars received greater buccal and extrusive forces in T3 and T4,compared with T1,which showed statistically significant differences(P<0.05).
Conclusion
Posteriors with distal inclination contributed to the torque of the anterior and anchorage of posteriors. In group T2 posterior teeth experienced larger buccal forces and extrusive forces than in group T1. When the posteriors crown inclined mesially, the anterior teeth were more prone to lingual tip and caused overbite. The more mesially inclined the posterior teeth were, the more serious overbite was, and the posterior teeth were more prone to anchorage loss.

OBJECTIVETo report our experience to embolize the AVM of jaws by direct puncture in conjunction with endovascular treatment.
METHODS5 cases of AVM of mandible and 2 cases of AVM of maxilla comprised this study group. The patients were embolized with coils with wool strands and PVA. The coils were placed directly into the center of the intraosseous lesion. The procedure was under the guidance of DSA machine (PHILIPS V3000).
RESULTSThe acute arterial bleeding of 4 patients was controllable. The chronic oozing bleeding in the other 3 cases disappeared in the 3 - 24 months follow-up and new bone formation was found in the follow-up radiography.
CONCLUSIONSThe embolization of the AVM of jaws by direct puncture in conjunction with endovascular therapy is effective and safe, however the longer follow-up is expected.

Objective To investigate the clinical curative effect of Modified Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction in the treatment of stable angina pectoris(SAP)with internal resistance of phlegm and turbidity and its effect on gut microbiota. Methods The clinical data of 72 cases of SAP patients with phlegm turbidity and internal resistance type in our hospital were selected for prospective study, sorted according to the order of admission, and divided into control group and observer by random number table method, with 36 cases in each group. The control group was given standardized western medicine treatment, and the observation group was given the addition of Modified Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy and gut microbiota composition of the two groups of patients were compared. Results After treatment, the clinical efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in the ECG efficacy between the two groups(P>0.05).Based on 16S rDNA technology,at the phylum and genus levels, there was no difference in the abundance of Bacteroidota,Bacteroides and Faecalibacterium(P>0.05).After treatment, the abundance of Bacteroidota in the observation group increased more significantly than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Modified Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction can effectively improve the clinical efficacy of SAP patients with phlegm-turbid internal resistance by regulating gut microbiota, which provides new inspiration for the further development of Gualou Xiebai Banxia Decoction.
