International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2016;37(7):878-879,882
Objective To analyze and compare the HBV DNA contents in serum and breast milk after injection of hepatitis B im‐munoglobulin (HBIG) in different periods of pregnant and lying‐in women to provide the experimental basis for blocking the mater‐nal‐neonatal transmission(PMTCT) and breast feeding scheme .Methods 140 pregnant women carrying hepatitis B virus with HB‐sAg(+ ) by antenatal examination in the obstetric outpatient department of our hospital from June 2012 to June 2014 were selected and divided into the research group and the control group according to the voluntary and secretive principle .Among them ,75 cases in the research group were intramuscularly injected by high titer HBIG 200 U at 28 ,32 ,36 weeks of pregnancy ,while 65 cases in the control group were injected by HBIG at the end of pregnancy due to different causes .Serum HBV‐DNA content before injection and before delivery was detected in the two groups ,and which in neonatal serum and breast milk within 3-5 d also detected .The differences and correlation between the two groups were analyzed .Results The HBV‐DNA content <500 copies/mL ,500-1 × 106 copies/mL ,>1 × 106 copies/mL before HBIG injection in the research group were 28 cases ,17 cases ,30 cases respectively ,which before delivery were 35 cases ,20 cases ,20 cases respectively ;which in antenatal twice detection in the control group were 19 cases , 21 cases ,25 cases and 20 cases ,17 cases ,28 cases respectively ;neonatal serum HBV‐DNA positive in the research group and control group had 1 case(5 .3% ) and 5 cases (7 .7% ) respectively ;the breast milk HBV‐DNA positive in the two groups had 3 cases(4% )/and 8 cases(12 .3% ) respectively .Conclusion HBIG injection at late pregnancy in the pregnant women carrying HBV could influ‐ence the HBV replication ,thus reduces the probability of neonatal intrauterine infection ,at the same time reduces the HBV‐DNA positive rate of postpartum breast milk .

AIM: To determine the HPLC fingerprint of ultramicro decoction piece of Radix paeoniae Alba. METHODS: HPLC was used to analyze the extracts of ultramicro decoction piece of Radix paeomae Alba from 10 different sources. RESULTS: The fingerprint of ultramicro decoction piece of Radix paeoniae Alba was composed of 20 peaks, among which there were 10 characteristic peaks. CONCLUSION: The fingerprmt can be used to control the ultramicro decoction piece of Radix paeoniae Alba qualities.

Journal of Integrative Medicine 2007;5(4):363-7
In the view of the idea that the utilization of wild plants and animals in traditional Chinese medicine is destroying the biodiversity, this article discusses the relationship between traditional Chinese medicine and the biodiversity from a new point of view. The authors consider that reasonable utilization of the wildlife in traditional Chinese herbal medicine is beneficial to the protection of wildlife under proper management and guidance. However, there is still a long way to go to balance the relationship between the wildlife protection and exploration. In view of this, some propositions are put forward, including enforcing the relative laws and rules for herbal resources protection, carrying out the research work of the background data, formulating the standard for the classification of the rare and endangered species, accelerating the investigation of the substitute resources of extinctive wildlife for medical use, enforcing the citizens' consciousness of wildlife protection and developing the industrial and artificial cultivation of traditional Chinese herbal medicinal plants and animals.

[Objective]To discuss the influence of posterior cervical titanium internal fixation system on magnetic resonance image(MRI).[Method]Six cases that had operated in Changhai hospital with posterior cervical titanium internal fixation system performed MRI scan. The MRI system were 1.0-T or 1.5-T scanner.Patients all performed sagital T1,T2 and axial T1-weighted image scan under turbo spin echo(TSE)sequence, then the artifacts and its influence on the MRI image were analyzed.[Result]Mean artifact size ranged from 2 to 3 times of actual screw size. The artifact was similar to the primary shape of internal fixation system with low intensity signal on center and high intensity signal on the margin. The details in the spinal canal can be distinguished. The rod had small artifact, but the laminar hook had large artifact which obscured the posterior structure of spinal canal, and the artifact of pedicle screw had influence on lateral spinal canal, nerve root and vertebral artery.[Conclusion]Patients with posterior cervical titanium internal fixation system should choose Turbo spin echo(TSE)sequence for MRI scan,if the spin echo is performed, the TE should be minimized.

Object To study the condition of Wenpi Decoction (WPD) with being decocted first and later added medicinal materials. Methods Contents of aconitine and free anthraquinone in WPD were determined by HPCE. Results Aconitine could reach the safe limit after Radix Aconiti Preparata being decocted 30 min first and the content of free anthraquinone was the highest after Radix et Rhizomea Rhei being decocted 10 min later. Conclusion Radix Aconiti Preparata should be decocted first and Radix et Rhizomea Rhei should be decocted later in WPD.

Objective To investigate the effect of distal high ligation of hernial sac closed on the prevention of postoperative scrotum seroma of totally laparoscopic extraperitoneal inguinal hernia repair. Methods The clinical data of 84 male patients who performed laparoscopic total extraperitoneal inguinal hernia repair from May 2014 to May 2015 May were analyzed. They were randomly divided into two groups: block group (42 patients with distal hernia sac ligation closed), and non-block group (42 patients with distal hernia completely stripped off or exclusion). The rate of scrotum seroma, operation time, postoperative infection, length of stay and follow-up status were compared between two groups. Results All the surgery completed successfully. The operation time and length of stay in two groups had no significant differences (P>0.05). No patients used analgesics, and no patients had postoperative infection and hematoma. The rate of scrotum seroma in block group was significantly lower than that in non-block group: 0 vs. 11.9%(5/42), P<0.05. They were followed up for 5- 17 months, with average 11.2 months, and there was no chronic pain patients. Conclusions The distal high ligation of hernial sac closed in the prevention of postoperative scrotum seroma of totally laparoscopic extraperitoneal inguinal hernia repair is effect.

Autophagy is a catabolic process responsible for the degradation and recycling of misfolded proteins and damaged organelles for cellular homeostasis. This degradative pathway, closely related to many diseases including cancer, has become a focus of cancer research. lt can serve as a tumor suppressor, also functions as a protective cell-survival mechanism against chemotherapies. Of the autophagy-related proteins, vacuolar protein sorting 34(VPS34)has attracted major attention over the past decade because of its role in autophagic procedure. Recently, three specific inhibitors of VPS34,PlK-Ⅲ,VPSlN1 and SlR405,have been invented, showing unique implications for autophagy reduction and therapeutic benefit in tumor treatment. This paper summarizes the different roles of autophagy in clinical settings and the functional regulation of VPS34 upon post-translational modification and also discusses the application prospects of inhibitors targeting VPS34 or autophagy in cancer prevention and treatment.
