Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of three-dimensional CT(3DCT)in atlantoaxial lesions. Methods The findings of 3DCT were analyzed and compared with conventional CT and radiography in 124 patients with atlantoaxial disease. Results 124 cases of atlantoaxial lesion included fracture in 42,atlantoaxial rotatory dislocation in 73,hypoplasia of the dens in 4,and congenital atlantoaxial deformity in 5.Among the 124 cases,89 cases were diagnosed by X-ray,109 cases by conventional CT,121 cases by MIP,122 cases by SSD,124 cases by MPR and VR.Conclusion 3DCT can find the slight rotatory dislocation,so it is the most effective means for the diagnosis of atlantoaxial rotatory dislocation.3D and MPR of spiral CT are useful in the diagnosis of atantoaxial fracture.Combining conventional CT and X-ray film with 3DCT can improve the acuracy of the diagnosis.

Journal of Medical Research 2006;0(05):-
Objective To explore the value of tubercular antibody (TBAb) in the diagnosis of tuberculous pericarditis (TBP).Methods The TBAb in 38 patients were determined by colloidal gold (CG) and compared with 64 healthy control. Results The positive ratio in TBP group was significantly higher as compared with control group. The hydropericardium was significantly decreased or disappeared after 6 months of antituberculotic treatment by color Doppler ultrasonography. It seemed that patients were rehabilitated and electrocardiogram (ECG) was normal. Conclusion TBAb is valuable in the diagnosis, differential diagnosis or treatment of TBP.

Objective To evaluate the clinical application of multi-slice spiral CT(MSCT) and X-ray plain film in congenital scoliosis. Methods 40 cases with congenital scoliosis were undergone MSCT scan, the imaging data were reconstructed with maximum intensity projection(MIP),multiple planar reconstruction(MPR),surface shaded display(SSD) and surface volume rendering(SVR),the applied value of these various reconstructed images were analysed comparatively with X-ray plain film. Results Based on the preoperative X-ray plain films, the spinal formation failure, segmentation failure and mixed failure of spine were found in 18,15 and 7 cases respecitvely. However MSCT scan showed that 13 cases had formation failure,12 cases had segmentation failure and 15 cases were mixed failure of spine, and in combination with spinal bifida in 6,rib deformity in 8 and bony ridge inside vertebral canal in 4.The relative features of congenital scoliosis could be comprehensively evaluated by SVR images. Conclusion The reformatted images of MSCT is remarkedly superior to conventional X-ray images in judging the classification and area of spinal deformity accurately.

Journal of Central South University(Medical Sciences) 2009;34(5):382-387
OBJECTIVE:
To investigate a new way to yield plenty of high purity olfactory ensheathing cells (OECs) and its biocompatibility with appropriate scaffolds.
METHODS:
OECs were prepared from neonatal Wister rats and co-cultured with poly [LA-co-(Glc-alt-Lys)] (PLGL). Its contact angle, adherent rate, and activity rate were tested.
RESULTS:
The contact angle of poly (D, L-lactic acid) (PDLLA) (84.5 degree+/-1.5 degree) was significantly higher than that of PLGL (52.6 degree+/-0.8 degree), the adherent rate of PLGL (80%) was significantly higher than that of the PDLLA (57%), and the activity rate of PLGL (88%) was much higher than that of the PDLLA (76%).
CONCLUSION
PLGL possesses better hydrophilicity and biocompatibility than PDLLA, and it can provide a better cell growth circumstance which is helpful for the effective treatment of nerve injury.

To study the chemical constituents of Drynariae Rhizoma, nine phenolic acids were isolated from a 70% ethanol extract by using a combination of various chromatographic techniques including column chromatography over silica gel, ODS, Sephadex LH-20, and semi-preparative HPLC. By spectroscopic techniques including 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 2D NMR, and HR-ESI-MS, these compounds were identified as 4, 4'-dihydroxy-3, 3'-imino-di-benzoic acid (1), protocatechuic acid (2), gallic acid (3), p-hydroxybenzoic acid (4), (E)-caffeic acid (5), ethyl trans-3, 4-dihydroxycinnamate (6), caffeic acid 4-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (7), p-coumaric acid 4-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (8), and 23(S)-12-O-caffeoyl-12-hydroxyllauric acid glycerol ester (9), separately. Among them, 1 and 9 are new compounds, and 3, 4, and 6 were isolated from Drynaria species for the first time.

Objective To explore the impact of sulfentanyl on sufentanil epidural block during abdominal panhysterectomy. Methods 90 patients scheduled for panhysterectomy were randomly divided into three groups. Tthe control group received epidural administration of 1% ropivacaine of 0.2 mL/kg after 2% idocaine of 3 mL , while the study group 1 received 10μg sufentanil and the study group 2 received 20μg sufentanil in addition to the medications used in the control group. The anesthetic effect, changes in vital signs, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared among the three groups. Results In group S1 and group S2, the onset of epidural anesthesia was faster , time to the highest plane of sensory blockade and time to degree 3 in the Bromag scores were faster , duration of sensory blockade was longer , and OAA/S score was better , as compared with group D , with significant statistical significances (P<0.01);and the effect was better in group S2 than in group S1. There was no difference among the three groups in adverse reactions. MAP , HR and SPO2 were lower in groups S1 and S2 than in group D during the procedure, with a statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusions Proper dose of sufentanil plays a positive role in ropivacaine epidural block during panhysterectomy , not only increases the onset of anesthesia, but also makes the anesthestic effect better, and has higher safety It is worth popularizing clinically.

To establish a detection method of oncolytic adenovirus/p53 and standard of quality control, human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) promoter, CMV fusion promoter containing hypoxia reaction element (HRE) and p53 gene were identified by vector DNA restriction enzyme digestion and PCR analysis. The result conformed that all modified regions were in consistent with theoretical ones. Particle number was 2.0 x 10(11) mL(-1) determined by UV (A260). Infectious titer was 5.0 x 10(10) IU mL(-1) analyzed by TCID50. In vitro p53 gene expression in human lung cancer cell H1299 was determined by ELISA, and A450 ratio of nucleoprotein in virus infection group to control group was 5.2. Antitumor potency was evaluated by cytotoxicity assay using human lung cancer cell A549, and the MOI(IC50) of this gene therapy preparation was 1.0. The tumor cells targeted replication ability of recombinant virus was determined by TCID50 titer ratio of filial generation virus between human lung cancer cell A549 and human diploid epidermal fibrolast BJ cells after infected by virus with same MOI. TCID50 titer ratio of tumor cell infection group to normal cell infection control group was 398. The IE-HPLC purity of virus was 99.5%. There was less than 1 copy of wild type adenovirus within 1 x 10(7) VP recombinant virus. Other quality control items were complied with corresponding requirements in the guidance for human somatic cell therapy and gene therapy and Chinese pharmacopeia volume III. The detection method of oncolytic adenovirus/p53 was successfully established for quality control standard. The study also provided reference for quality control of other oncolytic viral vector products.
