Abstract Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) have imposed a substantial disease burden in China. Recently, the significance of childhood in CVD prevention has gained a significant attention. Prospective cohort studies have provided conclusive evidence that various risk factors during childhood are associated with the risk of CVD in adulthood. Furthermore, randomized controlled trials have made noteworthy advancements, demonstrating that healthy lifestyles during childhood could significantly promote cardiovascular health. The paper reviews the prevalence characteristics of CVD risk factors in Chinese children, the association with the risk of CVD development in adulthood and the progress of intervention research in childhood, in order to provide a scientific reference for the prevention of CVD from childhood.

【Objective】 To analyze the application value of penile vibrating perception threshold measurement in the diagnosis of erectile dysfunction (ED) and provide reference for the seversity of ED patients. 【Methods】 The clinical data, Erectile Hardness Scale (EHS) score, International Index of Erectile Function Questionnaire-5 (IIEF-5) score, and the vibrating perception threshold (VPT) of the penis of 257 patients with decreased erectile function as the main complaint or accompanying symptoms treated during Jan. and Dec.2021 were retrospectively collected and analyzed.Patients with EHS=4 and IIEF-5≥22 were classified into the normal group, and the rest into the ED group.The differences in VPT in patients with different EHS scores were compared, and the correlation between IIEF-5 and VPT was analyzed.The diagnostic value of VPT for ED was evaluated with receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. 【Results】 The difference in penile VPT among patients with different EHS scores was statistically significant (P<0.05).With the decrease of EHS score, VPT showed an increasing trend.Glans VPT was negatively correlated with IIEF-5 score (ρ=-0.22, P<0.001), and penile shaft VPT was also negatively correlated with IIEF-5 score (ρ=-0.26, P<0.001).The VPT of glans penis [(4.17±1.37) V vs.(3.47±1.24) V, P=0.009] and the VPT of penis body [(3.73±1.41) V vs.(2.99±1.14)V, P=0.003] in the ED group were both higher than those in the normal group.The area under the ROC curve (AUC) of the glans VPT was 0.642.When the cut-off value was 3.537 V, the sensitivity was 63.4%, and the specificity was 63.6%.The AUC of the penile shaft VPT was 0.659.When the cut-off value was 2.775 V, the sensitivity was 72.3%, with a specificity of 54.5%. 【Conclusion】 The penile VPT of ED patients is higher than that of normal ones, and there is a correlation between VPT and the severity of ED.Severe ED is associated with higher VPT.The measurement of penile VPT is helpful for the clinical diagnosis of ED patients.

Objective To evaluate the role of autophagy in the treatment of neuropathic pain(NP)with hydrogen-rich saline.Methods Forty adult male Sprague-Dawley rats with successful intubation were randomly divided into 5 groups(n= 8)using a random number table:the sham operation group(group S),the neuropathic pain group(group C),the hydrogen-rich saline group(group H),the autophagy inhibitor group(group M)and the hydrogen-rich saline + autophagy inhibitor group(group HM).There were 8 rats in each group.The NP model was established by chronic constriction of the sciatic nerve(CCI)in rats.The autophagy inhibitor 3-methyladenine(3-MA)was intraperitoneally injected with 30μg/kg in the group M and the group HM.The hydrogen-rich saline(0.6 mmol/L)was intraperitoneally injected with 10 mL/kg in the group H and the group HM.The other groups were intraperitoneally injected with the same amount of normal saline twice a day for 7 consecutive days.Paw withdrawal threshold to mechanical stimulation(MWT)and paw withdrawal latency to thermal stimulation(TWL)were measured at 1 day before and 1,3,5,7 and 14 days after modeling(T0-T5).After the last measurement of pain threshold,the L4-L6 segment of spinal cord was removed for determination of the expression of autophagy-related proteins microtubule-associated protein light chain 3(LC3)Ⅱ,Beclin-1 and p62 proteins by Western blot assay.The expression levels of superoxide dismutase(SOD)and malondialdehyde(MDA)in spinal cord tissue were detected.Results Compared with the group S,MWT and TWL were decreased in the group C at T2-5,the expression levels of LC3 Ⅱ,Beclin-1 and p62 were increased,SOD activity was decreased,and MDA content was increased at T5(P＜0.05).Compared with the group C,MWT and TWL were increased in the group H at T2-5,LC3 Ⅱ and Beclin-1 protein expression levels were increased,p62 protein expression levels were decreased,SOD activity was increased,and MDA content was decreased at T5(P＜0.05).MWT and TWL were decreased in the group M at T2-5,LC3 Ⅱ and Beclin-1 protein expression levels were decreased,p62 protein expression levels were increased,SOD activity was decreased,and MDA content was increased at T5(P＜0.05).Compared with the group M,MWT and TWL were increased in the group HM at T2-5,LC3 Ⅱ and Beclin-1 protein expression levels were increased,p62 protein expression levels were decreased,SOD activity was increased,and MDA content was decreased at T5(P＜0.05).Conclusion Hydrogen-rich saline can alleviate neuropathic pain and inhibit oxidative stress in spinal cord in rats,and the mechanism may be related to the increase of autophagy.

[Objective] To analyze the influencing factors of postoperative patency of longitudinal single suture intussusception microsurgical vasoepididymostomy, to provide reference for improving the repetition rate. [Methods] The clinical data of 82 patients with epididymal obstructive azoospermia who underwent longitudinal single suture intussusception microsurgical vasoepididymostomy in our hospital during Sep.2020 and Jan.2023 were retrospectively analyzed.The postoperative patency and spouse pregnancy were followed up by face to face and / or telephone interview.The effects of age, course of disease, body mass index (BMI), previous medical history (epididymitis, operation history, none), preoperative seminal plasma elastase (SPE) level, anastomosis site, unilateral and bilateral lesion, sperm quality, operation time and hospital stay on the postoperative patency rate were analyzed. [Results] All operations were successful, the follow-up rate was 95.12% (78/82), 78 were married, and the postoperative patency was 78.21% (61/78). Of the 61 patients who achieved patency, 56 were married, and the natural pregnancy rate of spouse was 45.21% (33/73). Univariate analysis showed that patients with age <30 years, course of disease <2 years, preoperative SPE level <290 ng/mL, bilateral anastomosis, body or tail anastomosis and motile sperm had higher postoperative patency rate (P>0.05). BMI, previous history, the number of motile sperms examined by epididymal fluid, the length of operation and hospital stay had no significant effects on postoperative patency (P>0.05). The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that preoperative SPE level (OR=0.998, 95%CI: 0.997-1.000, P=0.008) and (OR=10.724, 95%CI: 2.243-51.283, P=0.003) were significantly correlated with postoperative patency. [Conclusion] The preoperative SPE level and anastomosis site are significant influencing factors of postoperative patency, which is higher in patients with age <30 years, course of disease <2 years, preoperative SPE level <290 ng/mL, bilateral anastomosis, body or tail anastomosis and motile sperm.

Objective:To analyze the seroepidemiological characteristics of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection among adolescents aged 0-14 years in Henan Province and to evaluate the effectiveness of the childhood hepatitis B vaccine (HepB) immunization program.Methods:From September 2021 to March 2022, a total of 4 883 adolescents aged 0-14 years were selected from 25 villages or communities of 18 provincial-level cities in Henan Province by using the multi-stage random cluster sampling method. Demographic data were collected through questionnaires. The 3 ml of blood samples were collected from individuals aged 0-4 years and 5 ml of blood samples were collected from individuals aged 5-14 years to test HBsAg, HBcAb and HBsAb. Data on vaccination were collected through Henan Provincial Immunization Information System and hepatitis B cases in Henan Province were collected through China Infectious Disease Reporting System. The effectiveness of the childhood HepB immunization program was analyzed.Results:The average age of 4 883 subjects was (7.32±2.81) years old. The positive rates of HBsAg and HBcAb were 0.1% (7/4 883) and 1.0% (50/4 883), and the population standardized rates were 0.3% and 1.7%. In 2002, the positive rate of HBsAg among adolescents aged 0-14 years in Henan Province was 3.39%. Compared with that in 2002, the number of chronic HBV infections among adolescents in Henan Province in 2022 decreased by about 0.7 million. In 2002, the vaccination rate of newborns who completed all three doses of vaccine was 6.26%. In 2003, the vaccination rate of the hepatitis B vaccine rose rapidly, reaching 90% in 2013 for the first time. After 2014, the vaccination rate in Henan Province continued to remain above 95%. The proportion of cases among children aged 1-4 years in clinical reports decreased from 0.43% (1 108/256 566) in 2006 to 0.01% (78/80 655) in 2021. The proportion of cases among adolescents aged 5-19 years decreased from 18.21% (46 710/256 566) in 2006 to 1.1% (827/80 655) in 2021.Conclusions:From 2002 to 2022, the positive rate of HBsAg among adolescents aged 0-14 years has decreased significantly in Henan Province. The effectiveness of the HepB immunization program for children is good.

Objective:To analyze the epidemiological distribution characteristics, influencing factors, and infection rates of pertussis in the population of Henan Province.Methods:From 2022 to 2023, a cross-sectional survey was conducted to investigate the permanent population in Henan Province. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect anti-pertussis toxin IgG (PT-IgG), analyze the antibody positivity rate (≥20 IU/ml) and median concentration (MC), and estimate the pertussis infection rate based on PT IgG ≥40 IU/ml. The rank sum test was used to compare antibody levels among groups, and the χ2 test was used to compare antibody positive rates and infection rates among groups. Results:A total of 4 810 research subjects were included in this study. The overall positive rate of PT-IgG was 12.10% and MC was 3.04 (0.35, 10.36) IU/ml. There were significant differences both in positive rates and antibody levels of PT-IgG among different regions or age groups (region positive rate: χ2=134.06, P<0.001, MC: H=337.74, P<0.001; age group positive rate: χ2=45.27, P<0.001, MC: H=134.49, P<0.001). Both the positive rate of PT-IgG (25.26%) and MC (8.01 IU/ml) were the highest within one year after completing a full course of vaccination. There were significant differences in positive rates and antibody levels among people receiving different types of pertussis vaccines (positive rate: χ2=12.38, P=0.006, MC: H=17.93, P<0.001). The antibody positivity rate (35.71%) and MC (8.88 IU/ml) of the people who received cell-free pertussis inactivated poliomyelitis influenza type b (combined) vaccine throughout the course were higher than those who received other types of vaccines. The natural infection rate of pertussis was evaluated for individuals aged≥3 years who had no history of pertussis vaccine immunization within the year prior to sampling. With a high vaccination rate, the estimated infection rate of pertussis in the population was 5 757.22/100 000. The infection rates in the 3-year-old (1 940.16/100 000) and 4-year-old (1 765.68/100 000) populations were at a low level among the entire population, reaching their peak at the age of 6 (12 656.71/100 000). Subsequently, although the infection rate continued to decline, it remained at a high level and peaked again at the age of 40-49 years (8 740.39/100 000). There was a statistically significant difference in the estimated infection rate of pertussis among different age groups ( χ2=53.21, P<0.001). Conclusion:The PT-IgG level of pertussis in the population of Henan Province is generally at a low level. The estimated infection rate of pertussis is much higher than the reported incidence rate. A booster dose of pertussis vaccine is recommended at 6 years old.

OBJECTIVE To explore the clinical efficacy of Fuxin Mixture in the treatment of patients with heart failure of yang deficiency and water inundation type after myocardial infarction and its effect on serum myocardial injury and ventricular remodeling re-lated indicators.METHODS A total of 92 patients with heart failure of yang deficiency and water inundation type after myocardial infarction were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group(n=46).The control group was given basic western medicine treatment,and the observation group was given Fuxin Mixture on the basis of the control group's treatment.The TCM syn-drome scores,ultrasound cardiogram indices[left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular Tei index,and stroke volume(SV)],serum myocardial injury indices[serum N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide(NT-ProBNP)level,serum high-sensitiv-ity cardiac troponin I(hs-cTnI)level,and creatine kinase isoenzyme(CK-MB)level],serum ventricular remodeling indices[hypoxi-a-inducible factor 1α(HIF-1α),soluble growth-stimulated gene expressed 2 protein(sST2),and angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ)],and changes in the Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire(MLHFQ)were evaluated before and after treatment.The two groups were followed up for 1 year after treatment to observe the occurrence of major adverse cardiovascular events.RESULTS After treat-ment,the TCM syndrome scores of both groups were significantly reduced(P＜0.01),the observation group was better than the control group(P＜0.05,P＜0.01),and the total effective rate of TCM in the observation group was better than that of the control group(P＜0.05);the serum ultrasound cardiogram indexes,myocardial injury,ventricular remodeling indexes and MLHFQ scores of the two groups were significantly reduced(P＜0.01),and the observation group was better than the control group(P＜0.01).During the fol-low-up period,the all-cause mortality,malignant arrhythmia rate and acute heart failure rate of the observation group after treatment were significantly lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).CONCLUSION Fuxin Mixture has significant clinical efficacy in the treatment of patients with heart failure of yang deficiency and water inundation type after myocardial infarction,and the efficacy mechanism may be related to its reduction of myocardial injury and inhibition of ventricular remodeling.

Sonodynamic therapy (SDT) provides a non-invasive therapeutic strategy for killing tumor cells by using low-intensity ultrasound combined with sonosensitizer. Compared with other tumors, urinary system tumors have a good sound window for treatment. Combined with the advantages of low-frequency ultrasound, such as strong penetration and high targeting, SDT has efficient treatment efficiency and broad application prospects in urological tumors.
