Objective To analyze the risk factors for the external hydrocephalus (EH) after traumatic brain injury in the infants. Methods The clinical data of 178 cases of infants and young children with traumatic brain injury from March 2004 to April 2009 were retrospectively analyzed. Univariate and logistic regression analysis were performed to identify the clinical risk factors for EH after traumatic brain injury. Results By univariate regression analysis, age, GCS score after trauma, coma duration, brain contusion, subarachnoid hemorrhage and epilepsy were risk factors for external hydrocephalus in the infants and young children (Ps < 0.05). Gender, traumatic wet lung and usage of mannitol were less relevant to EH (Ps >0. 05). The incidence of EH after traumatic brain injury in the infants and young children was 14% (25/178 ). Age ( OR = 0.5743 ) , coma duration after trauma (OR =3.0628) ,subarachnoid hemorrhage (OR =3.7093),brain contusion(OR = 4.7892) and post-trauma epilepsy (OR =2. 9976) were risk factors for EH (Ps < 0. 05). Conclusion Younger than 2 years old, low GCS score, long coma duration, brain contusion, subarachnoid hemorrhage and epilepsy would increase the risk of EH after traumatic brain injury in the infants and young children. This study provides information for the prevention of EH after traumatic brain injury in the infants and young children.

Objective To use ELISA detecting self‐developed hepatitis B five internal quality control products .Methods Hepa‐titis B five positive sera by the detection of ELISA were diluted through optimal ratio ,and were homemade indoor quality control materials .Results Self‐control materials and commodities were simultaneously detected by ELISA ,and the test results were com‐pared ,the two were no significant difference(P>0 .05);Self‐control materials continuously detected by ELISA ,its batch variation were less than 15% ,and stability was in line with the requirements .Conclusion Self‐developed hepatitis B five indoor quality con‐trol materials are made simply ,have good stability ,are satisfied control effect ,and have promotional value .

Objective To analyze the relative indicators associated with warm ischemia time (WIT).Methods We established the porcine donor after cardiac death (DCD) model and monitored biochemical parameters (glucose, lactate, pyruvate, glycerol, and glutamate) changes of porcine livers at different WIT by microdialysis technique. The pathological changes were also observed during different WIT by HE staining. Results As the extension of WIT,the morphology injury of the graft aggravated:glucose and pyruvate levels slightly declined in the early stage, and then increased with WIT entension;glycerol levels increased with WIT entension;lactate levels and lactate/pyruvate ratio increased significantly after 20 min of WIT.The expression of lactate and lactate/pyruvate ratio were increased with the prolonged WIT.Pearson correlation analysis of all factors with liver ischemia time and liver pathological injury degree (P<0.05) showed the obvious correlation between lactate,lactate/pyruvic acid ratio with liver ischemia time and liver pathological injury degree, and of positive correlation (P<0.001,and correlation coefficients were 0.682 and 0.453 respectively). The ROC curve analysis revealed that the area under the curve was 0.950 for lactate, and 0.885 for pyruvate, respectively. When the critical value of lactic acid was 2.3736,the sensitivity was 90% and specificity was 95%.When the critical value of lactate/pyruvate ratio was 0.0257,the sensitivity was 80% and specificity was 83%.Conclusion The level of lactic acid and lactate/pyruvate ratio are significantly related to the WIT.These factors may be used as a predictor of donor liver warm ischemia injury.Reference range of these indicators needs further discussion based on larger sample research.
