Objective To investigate the effects of waist and abdomen liposuction on glucose and lipid me-tabolism in patients. Methods 30 female patients with central obesity who underwent the waist and abdomen lipo-suction in our hospital from April 6, 2013 to October 6, 2013 were selected. For all cases, morning fasting blood within 3 months was collected before and after surgery respectively to examine blood glucose, blood lipids, glycated hemoglobin and other inspections. Results Glycated hemoglobin levels of the 30 cases undergoing liposuction sur-gery after 3 months were significantly lower than those at 3 months before surgery (p<0.05).Meanwhile, levels of glucose, lipids, fasting insulin were lower than those before surgery (p<0.05).Conclusion Liposuction can re-duce glycated hemoglobin levels in cases of central obesity.Meanwhile, it can change levels of blood sugar, blood lipids, fasting insulin, which will help reduce risks of complications of diabetics.

Objective To study effect of the components in serum of Banxia Xiexin Prescription and different herbal formula on the apoptosis of cell BGC-823 and apoptosis-related gene expression. Methods The genic expression of bcl-2 and bax was tested by S-P immunohistochemistry technique. Results The apoptotic index of the groups of Xinku in Banxia Xiexin Prescription was significantly higer than that in the groups of Xingan, Kugan, Ganbu and the intact prescription (P

Objective: To study the effect of urotensin(U Ⅱ) on nitric oxide synthase(NOS)/nitric oxide(NO) system in rat aorta. Methods: The aortic slices were incubated in vitro. The medium nitrite content, vascular NOS activities and cGMP content were measured. Results: After incubation of aorta for 1.5-3.0 h, UⅡ(10-9-10-7 mol*L-1) increased nitrite production ( 14.8%-80.9%, P<0.01) in dose-dependent manner. U Ⅱ significantly stimulated the total NOS activities, mainly activated constitutive NOS (P<0.05 or P<0.01), however, the inducible NOS activities were not altered (P>0.05). Incubation of aortic slices with U Ⅱ (10-9-10-7 mol*L-1) increased vascular cGMP content in dose-dependent manner. Co-incubation vascular tissue with U Ⅱ and GN-L-nitro-arginine, an inhibitor of NOS, obviously inhibited the U Ⅱ-induced NOS activation, NO production and cGMP formation. Conclusion: The results suggest that U Ⅱ can activate the vascular NOS/NO pathway, increasing tissue NO production and cGMP content.

Medical history and physical examinations were performed to assess the clinical manifestations and growth of one patient with familial hypocalciuric hypercalcemia(FHH). Clinical data, including histories of his parents and 3 maternal relatives were collected. Serum parathyroid hormone(PTH), calcium, phosphorus, 24-hour urinary calcium, and 24-hour urinary calcium to creatinine ratio(UCCR)were measured or calculated. Meanwhile, after peripheral blood samples were collected and genomic DNA was extracted, the whole exome sequencing to detect gene mutations of the proband was performed. Further family screenings were also performed by Sanger sequencing to assess the relationship between genotype and phenotype. The results showed that the proband with motor developmental delays had severe hypercalcemia(4.20 mmol/L), while his mother without clinical symptoms had a higher blood calcium within the normal range(2.57 mmol/L). However, their urinary calcium levels were both low(UCCR< 0.01). The C→T heterozygous missense mutation was found by exome sequencing at nucleotide 1243 within exon 4 of calcium sensing receptor(CaSR)gene in the proband, which caused a substitution of Arginine to Tryptophan(R415W). Sanger sequencing confirmed the same mutation in his mother. There was no mutation in other family members. (

Objective:To investigate the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of lymphoplasmacytic lymphoma (LPL) with biclonal M protein. Methods:The clinical data of one LPL patient with biclonal M protein at Yancheng First People's Hospital in January 2018 was retrospectively analyzed, and relevant literature was reviewed. Results:The patient was an elderly woman with clinical manifestations of lymphadenopathy, kidney damage, anemia, and bone destruction. The diagnosis was confirmed based on lymph node biopsy, immunofixation electrophoresis, bone marrow cytology, and genetic mutation testing (MYD88 L265P mutation-positive). Partial remission was achieved after 4 courses of treatment with bortezomib-based regimen. Conclusions:Clinically, LPL with biclonal M protein shows one characteristic of M protein, and the immunoglobulin IgM and IgA biclonal LPL is even rarer. The treatment scheme based on bortezomib has a certain therapeutic effect.

Objective:
To study the clinicopathological features and therapeutic regimens of primary testicular lymphoma (PTL).
Methods:
The clinical data of 16 patients diagnosed with PTL from January 2005 to December 2015 in Jiangsu Province Hospital were collected, and the clinicopathological characteristics were retrospectively analyzed. Kaplan-Meier method was used to make the survival analysis.
Results:
The median onset age of 16 patients was 63 years old (33-81 years old). According to Ann Arbor stage, there were 8 cases of stage ⅠE, 2 cases of stage ⅡE, 6 cases of stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ. The initial symptoms included painless solid enlargement of the testis (9 cases), painful testis (3 cases), distending pain of testis (1 case), and the patients had no other systemic symptoms. The pathological type was diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), of which 2 patients were germinal center B-cell (GCB) type and the other 14 patients were non-GCB type. All the patients received the orchiectomy, of which 14 received chemotherapy alone after the operation, 2 received chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Complete follow-up data were available for 14 patients, and the median follow-up time was 23.5 months (1.0-97.0 months). Among 14 patients, complete remission was achieved in 11 patients, partial remission in 1 patient, no response in 1 patient, and 1 patient was undergoing treatment. Among 11 patients with complete remission, 5 patients relapsed, and the recurrence occurred at the central nervous system (3 cases), skin of right lower extremity (1 case), and contralateral testis (1 case). The mean progression-free survival (PFS) time was 19.0 months (14.0-95.0 months).
Conclusions
Most PTL is primary testis DLBCL, and the comprehensive treatment based on surgery is the main therapy of PTL. Postoperative chemotherapy with or without radiotherapy is recommended to prevent relapse.
