1.Diabetes and osteoporosis
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2014;30(5):449-452
In recent years, there are gradually increasing attentions on diabetic osteoporosis.Diabeticosteoporosis is characterized by insidious onset, high incidence, and risk of disability.Metabolic disorders caused bydiabetes mellitus are related to an imbalance between osteoblastic bone formation and osteoclastic resorption.Diabetesalters bone mass and increases the risk of fracture. In this review the influence of diabetes on osteoporosis isdiscussed.
2.Juvenile onset recurrent respiratory papillomatosis in 38 children
Chinese Archives of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery 2001;8(2):84-86
Objective:To evaluate the feature of juvenile onset recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (JORRP).Methods:Thirty-eight cases with JORRP were analyzed retrospectively from June,1986 to June,2000.Results:The average age was 3.5 years before diagnosis.Average 3.45 operations had been performed per patient .Of 38 cases ,eight had comlications of laryngeal dysfunction after operations.Peristomal and tracheal papilloma were spread in six of the nineteen cases with tracheotomies. Conclusion:JORRP is the most common laryngeal tumor in children. Most patients have frequent recurrences and multiple operations. Care should be taken to avoid damaging the normal laryngeal structure during surgical excision.
3.Endovascula treatment of intracranial aneurysms with guglielmi detachable coil
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(10):-
Objective To assess the value of embolization of intracranial aneurysms with GDC.Methods 17 patients with 18 intrtacranial aneurysms were treated with GDC.15 patients presented SAH with the following classifications of Hunt and Hess grading:grade Ⅰ and Ⅱ with 10 patients respectively,Ⅲ with 3,Ⅳ with 2.Results 13 patients had excellent clinical outcomes, and 3 patients suffered from transient parlysis after embolization, but recovered following medical treatment medical treatment and one patient died. Conclusion Endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms with GDC is a better alternative but a long-term follow-up is necessary.
4.The definitions of interventional radiology and interventional medicine
Journal of Interventional Radiology 2017;26(7):577-578
Interventional radiology is a new kind of minimally-invasive therapeutics that has developed on the basis of radiological imaging diagnosis.Interventional radiology is defined as a clinical subject that carries out the specific diagnosis and treatment under the guidance of medical imaging equipment and with the help of puncture needle, guide wire, catheter, etc. The interventional radiology categories include interventional diagnosis and interventional therapy.Interventional medicine is defined from the perspective of clinical application, while interventional radiology is defined from the technical characteristics of diagnosis and treatment.《of Interventional Radiology》 and the upcoming 《Journal of Interventional Medicine (English version)》 will become the professional sister journals in interventional academic field, which will provide important support for promoting the development of interventional medicine in China and for enhancing the international influence power of Chinese interventional medicine.
5.Application of nonvascular interventional procedures in musculoskeletal system
Journal of Interventional Radiology 1994;0(03):-
Objective Nowadays imaging-guided nonvascular interventional procedures are becoming increasingly important in musculoskeletal field. Percutaneous interventional procedures include a broad spectrum of minimal invasive techniques, involving diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. In this article we present our views and suggestions in percutaneous musculoskeletal biopsies, percutaneous periradicular steroids infiltration, diskography, percutaneous cementoplasty, percutaneous treatment of disk herniation, and percutaneous treatment of osteoid osteoma.
6.Laying stress on study of interventional lung volume reduction
Journal of Interventional Radiology 1992;0(01):-
The interventional lung volume reduction is developed from the lung volume reduction surgery and endoscopically non-surgical lung volume reduction. It is a X-ray guided transcatheter therapeutic technique, involving intra-bronchial embolization of the target pulmonary lobes with bleomycin(or pure alcohol)-lipiodol emulsion and the proximal target bronchial occlusion with PMMA simultaneously. A stable effect of pulmonary fibrosis and lung volume reduction could thus be obtained with the name of functional pulmonary lobectomy. Although this interventional therapeutic technique is now still on progress of animal experiment but having special potency of clinical application and fruitful furture.
7.Attention to the application of vein anaesthesia in interventional radiology
Journal of Interventional Radiology 1994;0(02):-
Interventional radiology is mostly carried out under local anesthesia with micro invasive characteristics. However, the questions of patient's pain, nerve intense, change of blood pressure and heart rate always influence the performance of operation.General anaesthesia in interventional radiology is a comparatively simple venous anaesthesia modality with a controlled dose of anesthetics injecting via periphery vein through persistent minimally injecting pump to keep the patient in dormancy under electrocardiagraphic monitoring. It doesn't require a tube insertion of trachea. The anaesthesia depth and time are under control. The half-life of the anaesthesia drugs is short with less side-effect.It is necessary to introduce the advanced anaesthesia into commom interventional radiological therapy with attentions of promoting the development through new modalities.
8.More are awaiting for craniofacial intervention
Journal of Interventional Radiology 2001;0(06):-
The scale of craniofacial intervention lies between the fields of neuro-intervention and peripheral intervention for the main purpose to investigate, diagnose and treat the disease entities originating from or supplied by the external carotid arterial system. Patients are usually refered to the oral and maxillofacial surgery, plastic surgery and otolaryngeal surgery. Craniofacial intervention includes mainly the diagnosis and treatment with adjuvant embolization of high-flow vascular diseases,intra-arterial chemotherapy of malignant tumors, embolization of epistaxis, etc. At present, there is no consensus with regard to the diagnosis and treatment of some craniofacial diseases, therefore further investigation and discussion are needed.(J Intervent Radiol,2006,15: 321-322)
9.A rational recognition of interventional teatment for diabetic foot
Journal of Interventional Radiology 2006;0(07):-
According to program of vascular examination of diabetic foot, the first choice is vascular ultrasonography as the general survey, followed by CTA and MRA for assessment of bilateral lower extremities arterial morphological changes. Lastly, arterial angiography including DSA still remain as the gold standard for estimation. The main pathologic changes of diabetic foot including arteriolar and microvascular disorders induce the extemely important interventional treatment especially the local thrombolytic infusion to be the real practical management besides local PTA and stenting are furthermore in consideration. As a general metabolic disease, the serial treatment should also include promoting blood flow, removing blood stasis and improving microcirculation . Evaluation of interventional treatment for diabetic foot should undertake not only the vascular stenosis and restenosis ,but also the relief of clinical symptom and improvement of amputation level.
