Prof. WANG Shou-chuan thought that children Tourette’s syndrome were due to wind and phlegm accumulation interior, imbalance between yin and yang. It is a manifestation excess include wind that is excess wind of liver wind and lung wind and deficiency wind due to yin deficiency, phlegm that is phlegm-fire and phlegm-turbidity; and root deficiency lying in the liver, spleen and kidney. He treated the patients with the main method of eliminating phlegm and extinguishing wind, according to the pathomechanism of wind and phlegm, accompanied with pacifying liver and purging fire, dispelling phlegm and calming mind, strengthening the spleen and nourishing the heart, nourishing the liver and tonifying the kidney. He produced the formula Fengning decoction, modif ication according to the symptoms of the patients. Its curative effect was remarkable and should be widely applied in clinic.
2.The Value of CTFC in Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction Undergoing Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and Effect of Adenosine Interference on CTFC
Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(06):-
Objective To assess the value of corrected TIMI frame count(CTFC) in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI) underwent primary percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) and the change of CTFC before and after adenosine interference. Methods CTFC was defined as the number of cineframes from coronary filling with radiographic reagent to visualization of distal coronary landmark in the infarct-related artery. Normal antegrade flow was 0.05), and CTFC of the patients with slow antegrade flow, who underwent PCI, was not significantly different before and after administering adenosine. LVEF of the patients with normal antegrade flow was significantly higher than that of the patients with slow antegrade flow(P=0.001). MACE of the patients with slow blood flow were obviously higher than that of the patients with natural blood flow(P

Objective To assess the association of air pollution and preterm birth in Taiyuan. Methods The preterm birth data from November 2005 to January 2007 were from Taiyuan birth surveillance system, meteorological data and air pollution data were from Shanxi Meteorological Bureau and Taiyuan Environmental Monitoring Station respectively. The case-crossover analysis and conditional Logistic regression model were used to analyze the association of air pollution and preterm birth in Taiyuan, while the meteorological factors were controlled. Results The stronger effective period of PM10 was 5-day lag and 6-day lag,of SO2 was 7-day lag and 8-days moving average. When PM10,SO2 increased 50 ?g/m3,for PM10,the OR of a 5-day lag and a 6-day lag were 1.169(95%CI:1.058~1.292),1.235(95%CI:1.115~1.367)respectively,for SO2,the OR of a 7-day lag and a 8-days moving average were 1.346(95%CI:1.122~1.616),2.203(95%CI:1.517~3.201)respectively.In sensitivity analysis, the lagged effects of PM10 and the cumulative effects of SO2 were steady. Conclusion The air pollution in Taiyuan may produce an acute effect on preterm birth.

[Objective]To report the results of treatment of enchondroma of the hand with curettage and porous bioceramic bone grafting. [Methods]Fifteen patients with digital enchondroma were reviewed. The average follow-up period was 30 months. The final function and radiographic appearance of the surgically treated digits were analyzed.[Results]At final evaluation the bony incorporation was uneventful in all patients. The mean functional Muskuloskeletal Tumor Society Score was 29.Radiographs showed apparent partial absorption of bioceramic bone in only two patients. All digits achieved full range of motion after surgery. No complication was found.[Conclusion]Porous bioceramic bone is safe and effective as a bone-filling substance after curettage of enchondroma of the hand.

Objective To investigate the relationship between tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-?), endothelin(ET) and Interleukin-6(IL-6) plasma level of coronary heart disease(CHD) patients and the type of the coronary plaque morphology. Methods Peripheral blood samples were taken from 230 CAG confirmed CHD patients and the same number of CAG normal patients.Serum TNF-?,ET and IL-6 values were measured through enzyme-labeled immunosorbent assay(ELISA) technique in the 2 groups and their relationship between coronary plaque morphology were assesed. Results The mean levels of serum TNF-?,ET and IL-6 in the CHD group were higher than those of the normal group(P

Objective To observe the change of C-reactive protein (CRP), Interleukin-6(IL-6) plasma levels before and after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) in angina pectoris patients to evaluate the relationships between the severity of coronary lesions, CRP and IL-6. Methods 36 patients diagnosed as angina pectoris by coronary angiography received PCI and 15 healthy subjects served as the control. Peripheral blood samples were taken before and after PCI, the serum levels of CRP and IL-6 were measured by ELISA. The relationships between serum CRP,IL-6 and the severity of coronary lesions were analyzed. Results The mean levels of serum CRP and IL-6 in the patients were higher than those in the control(P

Chinese Journal of Radiology 1999;0(10):-
Objective To study different e mbolization methods in various aneurys ms with metallic coils. Methods In 6 spherical aneurysms, the e mbolization was p erformed with coils in their bodies, discontinuing the total or part of the bloo d supply to the corresponding viscera. While in 6 diverticulum aneurysms, the em bolization with coils was conducted in their bodies only, maintaining the blood supply of the corresponding viscera. For some pseudoaneurysms, both afferent and efferent arteries were embolized and collateral arterial supplies were prevente d. Results All 19 cases 20 aneurysms, of aneurysms were success fully embolized. Among 8 cases of pseudoaneurysms, bleeding had been stopped in 7 cases. Putting coils in the b odies of aneurysms or embolizing both afferent and efferent arteries improved su ccessful rate. Conclusion Embolizing aneurysms with metallic co ils is an efficient, reliable, and simple interventional method for stopping bleeding.

Objective To compare the effects between Milrinone and Lrh-BNP for treating the peripartum cardiomyopathy heart failure. Methods After treated by routine measure,39 serious PPCM patients were randomized into two groups, with 20 to Milrinone group for the advanced therapy between 5 to 7 days, and 19 to Lrh-BNP group therapy 24 hours. Results The total efficient rate in Lrh-BNP group(95%) was more higher than that in Milrinone group(73.6%).The index of heart function such as LVEF,FS,E/A,SV,CO,CI,24 hours urine quantity, dyspnea could improve in both groups after the therapy(P

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and adverse effects of thalidomide plus melphalan and VAD regimen in the treatment of multiple myeloma(MM). Methods 24 patients in the treatment group were treated with thalidomide plus melphalan and VAD regimen. Two continuous treatment were considered valuable. Observational content included results of serum myeloma protein; liver and renal function; protein-uria of 24-hours; bone marrow and peripheral blood and soon. The side reactions were recorded. The clinical efficacy evaluation was divided into complete response(CR), partial respouse(PR), none response(NR). Results 13 cases in the treatment group achieved CR, 6 cases achieved PR, 5 cases no change, 19 cases achieved overall response. Conclusion The prominent clinical efficacy was achieved with thalidomide plus melphalan and VAD regimen in multiple myeloma. The clinical manifestation was improved significantly.
