This study was aimed to screen main active site to reduce blood lipid from Xin-Mai (XM) capsule and establish HPLC fingerprint of the site, in order to study the correlativity between active site and relevant fractions of its herbs. Solvent extraction was used to separate XM capsule into different polar fractions. Intraperitoneal injection of 75% egg-yolk emulsion was used to establish mice hyperlipidemia models. And the active site was screened. Chromatographic fingerprints of the site and relevant fractions of its herbs were configured by HPLC analysis. The
retention time of peaks was utilized as index to evaluate the correlativity. The results showed that lipid-lowering effect of ethyl acetate extract and garlic essential oil was significant (P<0.01). Fingerprint of the active site in XM capsule was established with 28 fingerprint peaks and the assignment results of 27 peaks were indicated. It was concluded that the active sites to reduce blood lipid of XM capsule were ethyl acetate extract and garlic essential oil. The established fingerprint method can effectively determine the correlativity between the active site and its relevant fractions, which contributed to pharmacodynamic material foundation and quality standard.

OBJECTIVETo analyze the job burnout and mental health status of clinicians and the relationship of personality with job burnout and psychological stress, and to investigate the direct or indirect effects of personality on psychological stress.
METHODSMaslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire-Revised Short Scale (EPQ-RSC), and Kessler 10 Scale were administered to 775 clinicians.
RESULTSOf all clinicians, 29.5% had mild burnout, with a score of 22.7 ± 8.18 for psychological stress risk. The effect of personality on emotional exhaustion and cynicism was greater than that on personal accomplishment. Clinicians with a personality of introversion, neuroticism, and psychoticism suffered a higher risk of psychological stress. Personality had both direct and indirect effects on psychological stress. Neuroticism had the strongest effect on psychological stress, with an effect size of 0.55.
CONCLUSIONClinicians have a high level of both job burnout and mental psychological stress risk. Personality is significantly correlated with job burnout and psychological stress risk. Measures depending on personality should be taken for effective intervention.

In order to explore the possibility to predict the risk factors for postoperative complications and survival time, the clinical data of 152 patients (including 116 males and 36 females) who had undergone neo-adjuvant therapy and surgery for stage Ilia and B non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) were retrospectively analyzed. Demographic data, preoperative functional parameters, staging, induction regimen (chemotherapy alone or associated with radiotherapy), associated disorders, and data about operation were collected. Chi-square test and multivariate analysis fitting the unconditional logistic regression model were performed to identify predictors of postoperative complications, while Kaplan-Meier and multivariate Cox proportional hazard model were employed to identify predictors of survival time, respectively. The univariate analysis demonstrated that forced expiratory volume in 1 second predicted percent (FEVI%, P=0.040) and associated disorders (P=0.020) were the predictive factors of complications, but multivariate analysis found no independence factors (P>0.05) of it. Univariate Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that stage (P=0.050) and pneumonectomy (P=0.018) affected the survival time. However, multivariate Cox proportional hazard model analysis demonstrated that only pneumonectomy (P=0.026) was associated with a decreased survival time, but no differences between right and left pneumonectomy were found. The results suggest that the risk factor for postoperative complications is acceptable, and pneumonectomy is associated with increased mortality, which should be performed only in stage Ⅲ NSCLC patients.
