Objective To observe the changes of serum leptin(LP) levels and serum tumor necrosis tactor-alpha(TNF?) concentrations and to explore the relationships with fasting serum insulin levels and congestive heart failure(CHF).Methods Serum leptin and inslin concentrations were measured by radioimmunoassay and tumor necrosis factor-alpha by ELISA.Body mass index(BMI),mean arterial blood pressure(MBP),fasting serum insulin(FINS),LP and TNF-alpha levels were determined in 40 patients with CHF and in 20 healthy controls matched for gender,age,BMI and MBP.The correlations between leptin and other parameters were analyzed.Results ⑴The fasting serum LP and FINS concentrations of patients with NYHA grade Ⅲ and NYHA grade Ⅳ were significantly lower as compared with the controls(P0 05).⑵The TNF alpha was higher in heart failure patients that in healthy controls(P

Objective To investigate IL-18 expression of monocyte cells and the inhibition effect of fluvastation on its expression in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS). OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of arc-track private lock pedicle orthopedic fixation system Ⅱ (ALPF Ⅱ) on treatment of spinal diseases. METHODS: A total of 86 patients with spinal diseases were treated using self-made ALPF in the Wendeng Orthopaedic Hospital and were included in this study. Of these patients, 14 suffered from cervical spinal stenosis complicated by cervical vertebral destabilization, 29 from thoracolumbar fractures and dislocations, 15 from lumbar spinal stenosis complicated by lumbar vertebral destabilization, 2 from lumbar spondylolisthesis, 8 from spinal tuberculosis, 6 from ankylosing spondylitis, 9 from idiopathic scoliosis, and 3 from congenital scoliosis. According to conditions, different therapeutic regimens were selected. Postoperatively, regular follow-up was performed to observe vertebral healing, intervertebral height, spinal column sequence, and neurological function recovery. RESULTS: All patients were followed up for 9-30 months (average 12 months). The improvement rate of neurological function, spinal mobility, back pain, and melosalgia was 94.1%, 65.9%, 92.1%, and 87.4%, respectively. The postoperative anterior and posterior vertebral heights were apparently recovered, and kyphotic angle was well corrected. No screw, rod loosening or breakage was found. CONCLUSION: Self-made ALPF Ⅱ is an internal fixation method for treatment of spinal diseases. It provides good reduction, reliable curative effects, less complications, and no biocompatibilities.

Objective To evaluate the anticonvulsant effect of midazolam and diazepam when administered nasally on maximal electroshock seizure and metrazol seizure threshold test models .Methods Rats were randomly divided into 7 groups:model group, low-dose, middle-dose and high-dose of midazolam nasal spray groups , diazepam nasal spray in low-dose, middle-dose and high-dose of midazolam nasal spray groups .After the establishment of the maximal electroshock seizure( MES) and metrazol seizure threshold test models ( MST) in rats, the anticonvulsant effects of different doses of midazolam and the clinically used antiepileptic drug diazepam were evaluated and compared .HE staining was used to observe the histopathological changes in the hippocampus , cortex and amygdala in rats .Results Significant anticonvulsant effects were observed on MES and MST in rats pretreated with different dosages of midazolam .In addition , the anticonvul-sant effects of midazolam were stronger than those of diazepam at the same dosage on MES and MST (P<0.05,P<0.01). Histopathological results showed that both midazolam and diazepam could effectively prevent the seizure -induced brain inju-ries, inhibit the increase of microglial cells and the inflammatory cell infiltration in the hippocampus, cortex and amygdala, and reduce the nucleus pycnosis and neuronophagia .Conclusion Midazolam has significantly anticonvulsant and neuropro-tective effects on different seizure models when administered nasally in rats .

Objective To identify the diseases outcome of inpatients of prefectural hospital in Xinjiang,through analyzing the diseases outcome of inpatients of a prefectural hospital in Xinjiang from 2006 to 2008.Methods To analyze the diseases outcome of inpatients(20 533 cases)randomly selectedin hospital from 2006 to 2008 the date were aralgzed.according to year,gender,ethnicity,disease systems.Results The overall cured rate,improved rate,healed rate,fatality rate of inpatients was 42.10％(8663 cases),51.10％(10 463 cases),6.00％(1242 cases),0.80％(165 cases)respectively.The fatality rate of inpatients of above 60 years old,45 ～59 years old,15 ～44 years old is higher in inpatients of various age groups; The fatality rate of inpatients of tumor,circulatory system diseases,symptoms of menopause with the experimental and clinical body seen to be kind to the suffering of its is higher in inpatients of various systemic diseases,binary multinomial logistic regression shows that the disease outcome is influenced by gender,age,disease systems,hospital annual,four single factors,but not influenced by ethnicity.Conclusion The cured rate adding improved rate is over 90％ of common and frequently-occurring diseases in the prefectural hospital of Xinjiang province.The fatality rate is higher in inpatients who suffered from tumor or circulatory system diseases or symptoms of menopause with the experimental and clinical body seen to be kind to the suffering of its and the fatality rate of all age groups over 15 years old is higher.

Objective To explore the function of 5-Aza-CdR in B-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia cell line NALM-6 and its influence on the expression of microRNA (miRNA) in the cells. Methods NALM-6 was treated with different concentrations of 5-Aza-CdR. Cell proliferation was detected by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) test, and DNA methyltransferase (DNMT) mRNA expression level was detected by reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR). The expression changes of miRNA were detected by miScript miRNA PCR Array chip in cells after methylation. Results NALM-6 cell growth was inhibited by different concentrations of 5-Aza-CdR processing time, reaching to the maximum inhibitory rate was (74.163 ±0.381) %. 5-Aza-CdR affected concentrations was inversely proportional with expression level of DNMT mRNA. After 1 000 μmol/L of 5-Aza-CdR was dealed with cell 72 h, the relative expression of DNMT-1 was reduced to 0.453 ±0.021, DNMT-3L was 0.003±0.001, DNMT-3B was 0.395±0.019. MiScript miRNA PCR array sieved out 3 miRNA (miR-184, miR-23a-3p, miR-34a-5p) associated with DNA methylation. Conclusions 5-Aza-CdR down regulates the expression of DNMT gene in NALM-6 cells, and inhibits the proliferation of cells. MiR-184, miR-23a-3p and miR-34a-5p are related to DNA methylation in the occurrence and development of B-cell acute lymphocytic leukemia.

OBJECTIVETo analyze polymorphisms of genes related to folic acid metabolism among women of child-bearing age from Shanxi.

METHODSBuccal smears were collected from 1070 women of child bearing age with cotton swabs. Sequences of MTHFR C667T and A1298C, MTRR A66G, and SLC19A1 A80G were determined by DNA sequencing. The results were compared with data from other regions of China.

RESULTSFor MTHFR C667T, the wild type homozygote, heterozygous mutants, and homozygous mutants have respectively accounted for 20.5%, 50.3%, and 29.2% of the study group, with the frequency of the mutant T allele being 54.4%. For MTHFR A1298C, these were 68.7%, 29.3%, and 2.0%, with the frequency of mutant C allele being 16.6%. For MTRR A66G, the above frequencies were 51.5%, 41.8%, and 6.7%, with the frequency of the mutant G allele being 27.6%. For SLC19A1 A80G, these were 29.2%, 48.0%, 22.8%, with the frequency of mutation G allele being 46.8%. Compared with other regions of China, women of child-bearing age from Shanxi has shown a significant difference in allelic distribution of MTRR A66G and SLC19A1 A80G (P<0.05).

CONCLUSIONThe polymorphisms of genes related to folic acid metabolism showed significant regional difference. Over half of women from Shanxi have carried high-risk alleles for folic acid insufficiency and should have individualized folic acid supplement.
