ObjectiveTo observe the clinical value of serum prealbumin in patients with chronic schistosome.Methodsone hundred and twenty six patients with chronic schistosome in the Gastroenterology Department and 40 healthy people in the Physical Examination Center of the First Hospital of Wuhan were enrolledin the study.Serum prealbumin(PA) and albumin(ALB) in healthy controls and patients with chronic schistosome before therapy and 1 st,2 nd,4 th weeks after therapy were detected and analyzed.ResultsBefore therapy,PA and ALB [(223.9 ± 43.2)mg/L, (41.5 ± 5.8)g/L] of patient group were lower than that of the control group [(314.5 ± 53.6)mg/L,(47.2 ± 6.9)g/L,t =4.527,2.786,respectively,all P＜ 0.05].After therapy,PAs of patient group at the 1 st,2 nd,4 th weeks [(245.8 ± 41.7),(258.3 ± 47.2),(282.9 ± 49.3)mg/L] were higher than that before the therapy (t =3.092,3.789,4.230,all P ＜ 0.05).ALB of patient group at the 1 st,2 nd,4 th weeks [(41.1 ± 4.7),(41.4 ± 5.2),(44.8 ± 4.5)g/L] were not significantly different compaired to that before therapy(t =0.123,0.119,0.156,all P ＞ 0.05).ConclusionsPrealbumin could quickly and sensitively respond to the changes of liver function.It could be used in the judgment of curative effect and prognosis of patients with schistosome.

Objective To study the significance of expression of hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha(HIF-1?) in gastric mucosal diseases. Methods Using tissue chip technique to creat tissue chip in 120 cases of vary gastric mucosal disease,and using S-P immunohistochemical methods to detect the expressions of HIF-1? in these tissue chips. Results The positive rates of HIF-1? was 28.3% in 120 tissue chips of gastric mucosal diseases. The positive rates of HIF-1? was 0, 10.0%, 40.0% and 63.3% in chronic superficial gastritis, chronic atrophic gastritis with intestinal metaplasia, chronic atrophic gastritis with dysplasia and intestinal type gastric cancer, respectively. ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of astragalin on pulmonary edema after acute cervical spinal cord injury in rats.MethodsA total of 200 adult Wistar rats weighing 240-250 g were randomly divided into five groups:astragalin group,low concentration astragalin group,physiological saline group,blank group and sham group,with 40 rats in each group.The rats with cervical spinal cord injury were induced at C7 by modified Allen' s method,with the dropping weight of 10 × 2.5 g · cm.In the sham group,the laminas were removed only,leaving spinal cord at the C7 intact.Each group was further divided into four time points:24 hours,3 days,1 week and 2 weeks after the modeling,with 10 rats in each time point,according to the specimen collection time.Rats were sacrificed at different time points to observe the pathological change of the lung tissue using optical microscope,measure the lung wet/dry weight ratio (W/D) and protein concentrations of the serum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and calculate the lung W/D and lung permeability index (LPI).ResultsAt the same instant,the W/D and LPI in the astragalin group and low concentration astragalin group were lower than those in physiological saline group and blank group,with the lowest value in the astragalin group at day 3 after injury ( P ＜0.05 ).ConclusionsRats with acute cervical spinal cord injury may cause pulmonary edema,which can be efficiently alleviated through early use of astragalin.

Purpose To investigate the protein expression of p53 and E-cadherin in gastric adenocarcinoma and the effects of them and the clinicopathological parameters on prognosis of patients.Methods Expression of p53,E-cadherin in 150 cases of gastric adenocarcinoma was detected by tissue microarray and immunohistochemistry.The effects of them and the clinicopathological parameters on the prognosis of patients were studied by Kaplan-Meier method to calculate and compare the cumulative survival rate and postoperative mean survival time.Multivariate analysis was also performed by COX regression.Results The positive rate of p53 and E-cadherin expression in 150 cases of gastric adenocarcinoma was 31.3% and 91.3%,respectively.74 cases were followed up, and the 1-,3-,and 5-year survival rates were 83.8%,70.3% and 63.5%,respectively.The invasion, lymph node status and pTNM stages were prognostic factors;multivariate analysis revealed that p53,age and lymph node status were independent prognostic invasion, lymph node status and pTNM stages are important prognostic factors in gastric adenocarcinoma. Nevertheless, E-cadherin and histological classification are not prognostic factors.

The antifungal antibiotic produced by Streptomyces luteogriseus H-103 was purified by means of macroporous adsorbent resin, and the crystal of the antibiotic with high purity was got. In this paper, the methods of purification by adsorbing of microporous adsorbent resin and detection by reversed high performance liquid chromatography with evaporative light scattering detection (HPLC-ELSD) were established. The result appeared that resin X-5 is the best adsorbent, the eluant is 50% ethanol. The antibiotic was successfully separated on Agilent~(TM)20RBA?310SB C_(18 )column (150mm?4.6mm i.d,5?m) , using a mixture of acetonitrile (A)-H_(2)O (B) as a mobile phase under gradient elution at a flow of 0.8mL/min at 30℃.0~4.0 min, V(A)∶V(B)=20∶80, 4.0~9.5min, V(A)∶V(B)=45∶55, then V(A)∶V(B)=80∶20. The drift tube temperature and the air carrier gas flow rate of the ELSD were set at 115℃ and 2.3L/min.

Background The visual system of animal have to optimally adjust in various environmental conditions in order to obtain stable and effective visual funetion.However,the color vision system of animals which encounter uncertainty of spectral signals should be plastic.Whether the densities of various cones and expression of opsins change with long-time spectral deprivation is unclear.Objective This study was to investigate the changes of cone density as well as the expression of corresponding opsin and mRNA following the long-term illumination of monochromatic light.Methods Thirty 3-day-old guinea pigs were randomized into 3 groups and exposed tO the 530 nm green light,400 nm purple light and white light for consecutive 8 weeks respectively.The flat-mounted retinal sample was prepared and divided into dorsal zone,ventral zone and mixed zone anatomically according to the distribution of difierent light-sensitive cone.The changes in density of cone cells sensitivited to different colored light were detected by single-1abel or double-label immunocytochemistry.The levels of opsin and its mRNA were determined using Western-blot and real-time PCR respectively.Results The density of green-sensitivity cones was significantly different in the dorsal zone of retina among green light group,purple light group and white light group (F=234.28,P<0.01).Compared with white light group,the density of green-sensitive cones in dorsal retina of green light group was obviously higher but that of purple light group wag evidently lower(q=389.68,P<0.01；q=67.11,P<0.01).No significant difference was found in the density of purple-sensitive cones in the ventral zone of retina among green light group,purple light group and white light group(F=3.14,P>0.05).The density of coexpression of the mixed cone cells was increased in green light group(q=157.55,P<0.01)but decreased in purple light roup (q=254.85,P<0.01)in comparison with white light group.The expression levels of green-opsin and green-opsin mRNA in green light group was significantly elevated(q=184.45,P<0.01；q=4.71,P<0.05),but those of purple light group were evidently declined(q=5.87,P<0.05；q=346.66,P<0.01)in comparison with white light group.There was no statistically significant differences were found in the expression of purple-opsin and its mRNA among all the groups(F=1.24,P>0.05；F=3.27,P>0.05).Conclusion After the exposure of long-time monochromatic light illumination,monochromatic cones density and its opsin in guinea pig occur the corresponding alteration to gain good spatial vision as a compensatory reaction.These outcomes imply that there is some plasticity during the development of color vision.The increase of green-sensitive cones might be from the differentiation of coexpression cones in transition region.
