Objective: To explore the effects of Danggui Shaoyao Powder (DSP) on in vivo uterine contractions and vasomotor factors of rats, and to investigate the mechanism of DSP for healing primary dysmenorrhea. Methods: Female SD rats were randomly divided into model, Verapamil (100 μg/kg, positive control), low-, mid-, and high-dose DSP (4, 8, and 16 g/kg) groups, and the rats were administered once daily for 7 d. The rats were sc administered with diethylstilbestrol (4 mg/kg) on day 7, on the next day the in vivo uterine contraction of rats was observed before and after oxytocin treatment under anesthesia condition, and the levels of nitric oxide (NO) and endothelin (ET) in uterine homogenate were determined. Results: DSP increased the average muscle tension of uterine contraction of normal rats obverously, but inhibited the oxytocin-induced uterine contraction significantly. The changes of the uterine contraction frequency, amplitude, average muscle tension, and uterine vigour of rats before and after oxytocin processing were significantly inhibited. DSP increased the NO level in the uterine of the experimental animals after oxytocin treatment and reduced the level of ET. The NO/ET ratio increased significantly. Conclusion: DSP could inhibit the in vivo uterine contraction, regulate the vasomotor substances, and improve the uterine blood supplement, resulting in the beneficial effect on treating primary dysmenorrhea.

ObjectiveTo observe effect of head and body acupuncture and moxibustion on stroke.Methods183 stroke patients were randomly divided into 3 groups, head acupuncture and moxibustion, body acupuncture and moxibustion, and head body acupuncture and moxibustion. After two months treatment, effects of 3 groups were evaluated.ResultsThere were no differences between head group and body group, body group and head body group, but there was significantly difference between head body group and head group (P<0.05).ConclusionThe head body acupuncture and moxibustion can gain the best clinical effect on stroke patients compared with simply head or body acupuncture and moxibustion.

AIM: To evaluate the effects of total flavonoid of chrysanthemum on the expressions of Fas and FasL in male rabbits with dry eye, and to investigate the therapeutic effects of the total flavonoid of chrysanthemum on dry eye.
METHODS: Totally 150 male Japanses white rabbits were divided into blank group ( group A ) , sham -operated group ( group B ) , model group ( group C ) , androgen control treatment group (group D), and total flavonoid of chrysanthemum treatment group ( group E ) . The dry eye model was established with orchiectomy on group C, D and E. Rabbits in group E were treated with total flavonoid of chrysanthemum. Rabbits in group D were treated with androgen intramuscular injection. Rabbits in the group A, group B, group C was treated with normal saline. All rabbits were detected with Schirmer's Ⅰ test and tear break-up time (BUT). Fas, FasL were checked on immunohistochemistry.
RESULTS:The Schirmer's I test values of group E was significantly higher than that of group C ( P<0. 01 ) and the BUT value of group E was significantly longer than that of group C ( P<0. 01 ). The quantity of positive expression of Fas in glandular tube cell and acinar epithelial celland apoptosis cells of group E after treatment at 1, 3, 5mo were significantly lower than that of group C, cell population of the positive expression of FasL was obviously higher than that of group C (P<0. 01).
CONCLUSION:The main component of chrysanthemum is flavonoid, which could significantly inhibit happening of dry eye in rabbit after androgen level lowered and lacrimal gland apoptosis and keep basic tears secretory volume and tear film stability.

The aim of this study is to develop the Tripterygium glycosides nanoemulsion gels and investigate its pharmacodynamics. Oleic acid was used as oil phase, polyoxyethylene castor oil as surfaetant, and 1,2-propanediol as cosurfactant to screen the formula of Tripterygium glycoside nanoemulsion using the pseudo-temary phase diagrams. Then the nanoemulsion gels was prepared. The ICR mouse ears were sensitazated by 7% DNCB, and then were excited by 0.3% DNCB to stimulate the model of mouse chronic dermatitis and eczema. The concentrations of IFN-γ, IL-4 and IL-8 in mouse blood were determined by ELISA. The results showed that Tripterygium glycosides nanoemulsion gels could significantly inhibit the swelling of mouse ears(P < 0.01) and ameliorate the edama and erythema of model mouse ears skin. Also it could significantly decrease the expression of IFN-γ and IL-4 in model mouse blood. Tripterygium glycosides nanoemulsion gels had a good therapeutic effect on mouse model of dermatitis and eczema. It was expected to provide a new and long-acting exterernal preparation for the treatment of dermatitis and eczema.

Objective To observe the therapeutic effectiveness of monosialo gangliosides injection (GM-1) on cerebral palsy (CP) of children.Methods 87 children with CP were randomly divided into the observation group (51 cases) and control group (36 cases), and treated with physical therapy, acupuncture, massage and hyperbaric oxygen, but monosialo gangliosides was added to the observation group only. The development quotient (DQ) of each group was calculated by Gesell development schedules before and after the therapy respectively. Therapeutic effects of two groups were compared.Results The therapeutic effect of the observation group was more satisfactory than that of control group(P<0.05). The observation group expressed higher DQ and scores of gross motor, fine motor, language and reaction than that of control group. Conclusion Monosialo ganglioside is effective on CP.
