Fibrosis is a pathological process characterized by tissue scars and can occur in many organs of the human body. Organ fibrosis is manifested by increased fibrous connective tissue and reduced parenchymal cells in organ tissues, which can lead to destruction of organ structures and reduced function, which seriously endangers human health. Current strategies for treating organ fibrosis include: blocking the transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1)/Smad signaling pathway, anti-inflammatory, regulating the sphingosine kinase 1/sphingosine-1-phosphate (SK1/S1P) signaling pathway, antagonizing vasoactive peptide receptors, enzyme inhibitors, kinase inhibitors, inhibitors of cellular signaling pathway, regulation of metabolic pathways, and mesenchymal stem cell therapy. In the review, the treatment strategies for organ fibrosis and the latest developments in the research of anti-organ fibrosis drugs are summarized to provide a reference for the development of anti-organ fibrosis drugs.

Objective To study the role of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in the effect of SB203580 on proliferation and apoptosis of hepatic stellate cells and the effects of H2S on expressions of collagenⅠand collagenⅢmRNA in hepatic stel-late cells. Methods There were five groups of HSC-T6 cells in this study including control group (DMEM medium contain-ing10%fetal bovine serum), dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) group, sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS)group,SB203580 (SB)group and SB+NaHS group. MTT method was used to detect the cell proliferation and inhibition rate of HSC-T6 cells treated by SB203580 and H2S. The apoptotic rate of HSC-T6 cells was detected by flow cytometry with annexin V-FITC/PI double staining. RT-PCR was used to detect the expressions of collagenⅠand collagenⅢmRNA in HSC-T6. Results The apop-totic rate of HSC-T6 cells was significantly higher in SB group and SB+NaHS group than that of control group, and the rate was significantly higher in SB+NaHS group than that of SB group (P＜0.05). There was no significant difference in the apop-totic rate of HSC-T6 cells between DMSO and NaHS groups than that of control group. The expressions of collagenⅠand col-lagenⅢmRNA were found in five groups of cells. There was a higher expression of collagenⅠand collagenⅢmRNA in NaHS group than that of control group (P＜0.05). The expressions of collagenⅠand collagenⅢmRNA were significantly lower in SB group and SB+NaHS group than those of control group and NaHS group (P＜0.05). Conclusion H2S activated P38MAPK signal pathway. And P38MAPK was specifically blocked by SB203580 in HSC-T6 cells, which inhibited the cell proliferation stimulated by H2S and promoted the apoptosis.

OBJECTIVETo observe the therapeutic effects of continuous plasma filtration absorption (CPFA) treatment on burn sepsis.

METHODSThirty burn patients with sepsis hospitalized in Beijing Fengtai You'anmen Hospital from July 2009 to October 2012 were treated by CPFA for twice besides routine treatment. The blood samples were collected at five sites (A, B, C, D, and E, respectively) of blood purification equipment before and after CPFA, before and after hemoabsorption, and before hemofiltration. The plasma levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1RA), soluble tumor necrosis factor receptor (sTNFR) I , and sTNFR-II from sites A, C, and E were determined with ELISA before CPFA was performed for the first time, and those from sites B and D were determined with ELISA after CPFA was performed for the first time. Plasma levels of the above-mentioned cytokines from sites A and B were determined with ELISA before CPFA and after CPFA was performed for the second time. The data of plasma levels of IL-1βP3, IL-1RA, sTNFR-I, sTNFR-II, and TNF-α before CPFA and after CPFA was performed for the second time were collected for calculation of the ratios of IL-1RA to IL-1β and sTNFR-I plus sTNFR-II to TNF-α. The expression rate of human leukocyte antigen DR (HLA-DR) on the CD14 positive monocytes, acute physiology and chronic health evaluation (APACHE) II score, body temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, and leukocyte count of patients were evaluated or recorded before CPFA and after CPFA was performed for the second time. Patients'condition was observed. Data were processed with paired t test.

RESULTSThe plasma levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-10 from site B after CPFA was performed for the second time were significantly lower than those from site A before CPFA was performed for the first time (with t values respectively 7.05, 5.23, 4.73, 2.37, P values below 0.01). After CPFA was performed for the first time, the plasma levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 from site D were significantly lower than those from site C before CPFA was performed for the first time (with t values respectively 5.48, 2. 17, 1.78, P < 0.05 or P <0.01). The plasma levels of all cytokines were close between site B after CPFA was performed for the first time and site E before CPFA was performed for the first time (with t values from 0.04 to 1.05, P values above 0.05). The plasma levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 from site B after CPFA was performed for the second time were significantly lower than those from site A before CPFA was performed for the second time (with t values from 1.87 to 5.93, P <0.05 or P <0.01). The ratios of IL-1RA to IL-1β and sTNFR-I plus sTNFR-II to TNF-α, and expression rate of HLA-DR were increased significantly after CPFA was performed for the second time as compared with those before CPFA (with t values from 3.99 to 7. 80, P values below 0.01). APACHE II score after CPFA was performed for the second time was 11 ± 6, which was lower than that before CPFA (22 ± 7, t =4.63, P <0.01). After CPFA was performed for the second time, body temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate of patients were improved (with t values from 1.95 to 3.55, P values below 0.05) , and the leukocyte count was significantly decreased (t =4.36, P <0.01) as compared with those before CPFA. All patients survived and were discharged with length of stay of (27 ± 31) d, and no adverse effects occurred during CPFA treatment.

CONCLUSIONSCPFA, which combines hemoabsorption and hemofiltration, can facilitate the treatment of burn sepsis by decreasing the level of pro-inflammatory cytokines efficiently, alleviating systemic inflammatory response, and improving the immune status.

Recently, the D'Amico classification system is widely used for the risk stratification of prostate cancer (PCa) , although no consensus has been reached for the definition of high-risk PCa. This system defines high-risk PCa as a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level > 20 ng/ml, a Gleason score of 8-10, or a clinical stage ≥ T2c. Because high-risk PCa is prone to recurrence and metastasis after treatment, a proper initial therapy plays a crucial role. Currently, radical prostatectomy and radiation therapy are considered to be two most important options for the initial treatment of high-risk PCa although it remains controversial which is better.

Abstract: Objective　To investigate the prevalence and genetic characterization of Blastocystis in primary and middle school students in Baisha Li Autonomous County, Hainan Province, in order to understand the infection status of Blastocystis and its subtype distribution characteristics in this area. Methods　From March to November 2021, fecal samples were collected from two primary and middle schools in Baisha Li Autonomous County. Nested PCR targeting the SSU rDNA was employed in this study, sequence analysis were performed to determine the prevalence and subtype. A neighbor-joining tree was built using Mega 7. Meanwhile, the risk factors of the Blastocystis infection among different grades and genders were evaluated. Results　The infection rate of Blastocystis was 4.1% (13/314), there was no statistical difference in infection rates among genders and grades (P>0.05). Sequence analysis revealed that three Blastocystis subtypes were identified, namely ST3 (n=7), ST7 (n=4) and ST1 (n=2), all of which have zoonotic potential. Conclusions　This is the first report of the identification of Blastocystis in humans in Hainan at the subtype level, and provide the basic data for the prevention and control of Blastocystis in this area. The zoonotic subtypes identified in this area indicated more studies should be taken in humans and various animals, to better evaluate the transmission of Blastocystis and provide scientific support for the prevention and control of Blastocystis.

tomography angiography ( CTA) and T12-S1 vertebral computed tomography three-dimensional reconstruction were selected .The operative win-dows of L1 ~L2 OLIF were observed:the vascular window ,bare window ,psoas major window ,ideal operative window and actual operative win-dow.The operative windows ’ percentage accounted for ideal operative window were calculated ,the actual operative window based on an actual operative window of <1 cm,≥1 cm were statistically analyzed ,and the positions of the left renal artery and renal vein in front of operative window of L1 ~L2 OLIF were observed.Results The actual operative window was <1 cm in 2 cases (3.3%) and ≥1 cm in 58 cases (96.7%).In 58 cases,the difference was significant(P=0.008) in gender and men were more than women.The vascular window,bare win-dow and psoas major window accounted for the ideal operative window by 45%,43%and 12%,respectively ,and the actual operative window accounted for the ideal operative window by 55%.The left renal artery and renal vein's walking planes were at between the middle 1/3 of L1 to up 1/3 of L2 .There were 31 cases (51.7%) of the left renal artery being behind the left renal vein .Conclusion The regional anatomy of the operative window of L1 ~L2 OLIF has its own peculiarities,and not all L1 ~L2 levels are suitable for OLIF.The left renal vessels’ walk-ing planes were in front of L 1 ~L2 .Before L1 ~L2 OLIF surgery,surgeons should analyze the imaging anatomimy through imaging .

OBJECTIVETo assess the feasibility of interstitial magnetic resonance lymphangiography (IMRL) with intracutaneous injection of gadobenate dimeglumine--a commercially available, non-ionic, extracellular paramagnetic contrast agent.

METHODSWe studied 10 patients with lower extremity lymphedema. A mixture of 7.5 ml gadobenate dimeglumine and 0.5 ml 2% lidocaine were evenly subdivided into 8 portions and injected intracutaneously into each web space of both feet. For IMRL, a 3D fast spoiled gradient-recalled echo T1-weighted images with a fat saturation technique (T1 high resolution isotropic volume excitation, THRIVE) was performed.

RESULTSThe beaded appearance of lymphatic vessels extending from the injection site were detected in 11 of 12 lower legs and the best delineation of lymphatic vessels was present at 15-30 minutes after injection. In 6 of 12 affected thighs, lymphatic vessels could be also visualized with the strongest enhancement at 45 minutes.

CONCLUSIONIMRL is a safe and technically feasible new method which can effectively visualize the pathological lymphatic vessels in lower extremity lymphedema.

Duck hepatitis B virus (DHBV) belongs to the Avihepadnavirus genus of the Hepadnaviridae, and it not only has the same replication pattern, but also has the similar genomic and antigenic structures to Hepatitis B virus (HBV). The genome of DHBV is a partially double-stranded closed circular DNA. The genome consists of three distinct open reading frames (ORFs): ORF-PreS/S, ORF-PreC/C and ORF-P, which all locate on the negative DNA strand and encode four separate proteins. The ORF-PreS/S encodes envelope proteins L and S, and the ORF-PreC/C and ORF-P encode capsid proteins C and polymerase proteins P, respectively. The characteristics of genome structure,viral proteins features and functions were described in this review in order to provide useful information for the further study of DHBV and the duck model infected by DHBV.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effects of immunologic effector cells to enhance apoptosis induced by adriamycin (ADR) in multi-drug resistant human breast cancer cell line MCF7/ADR.

METHODSThe immunologic effector cells were induced and expanded by IFN-gamma, McAb CD3, IL-1 and IL-2. The expression of P-glycoprotein (P-gp) and its relation to apoptosis in target cells were detected by TUNEL technique and immunohistochemical staining. Flow cytometry (FCM) was carried out to determine the expression level of human breast cancer related P185 antigen and the positive rate of Annexin V-FITC/PI expression. The subcellular distribution of ADR and Annexin V expression in the target cells were detected by fluorescence microscopy.

RESULTSThe immunologic effector cells down-regulated the expression of P185 and P-gp in MCF7/ADR cells. The accumulation and subcellular distribution of ADR in MCF7/ADR cells were increased after co-culture with the immunologic effector cells. After treatment with the immunologic effector cells in combination with ADR, apoptosis rate of the target cells was 10 times higher than that induced by ADR alone, and 13 times higher than that induced by the immunologic effector cells alone.

CONCLUSIONImmunologic effector cells can simultaneously down-regulate the expression of P185 and P-gp in MCF7/ADR cell line, and increase the apoptosis rate of MCF7/ADR cells in combination with ADR.

Objective:To investigate the mediating roles of perceived social support and relative deprivation in the relationships between life events and Internet addiction among Chinese college students.Methods:Totally 413 college students (200 males and 213 females,aged 16-21 years),completed the Relative Deprivation Questionnaire,Adolescent Self-Rating Life Events Check List,Perceived Social Support Scale and Chinese Internet Addiction Scale Revised to measure the level of relative deprivation,life events,perceived social support and Internet addiction.The Bollen-Stine of structural equation modeling and Bootstrap were used to test the mediating effect of perceived social support and relative deprivation on the relationship between life events and Internet addiction.Results:The scores of PSSS were negatively correlated with the scores of ASLEC,RDQ,and CIAS-R (r=0.11-0.36,Ps ＜0.05).The scores of ASLEC,RDQ,and CIAS-R were positively correlated with each other (r=0.14-0.23,Ps ＜ 0.01).Path analyses showed that the ASLEC scores were not associated with the CIAS-R scores directly (β =0.11,P ＞0.05),but indirectly through the mediating roles of the scores of PSSS and RDQ and the chain mediating effect of them among Chinese college students.The structural equation model could be accepted by Bollen-Stine Bootstrap (P ＜0.01).The confidence interval from Bootstrap output of the mediating effects of the scores of PSSS and RDQ and the chain mediating effect of them were (0.010,0.103),(0.002,0.032) and (0.005,0.061) respectively.Conclusion:It suggests that life events could not directly affect Internet addiction,but indirectly lead to Internet addiction through reducing perceived social support and increasing relative deprivation.
