Numerous epidemiological studies have studied the association of adiponectin (ADIPOQ) gene and adiponectin receptor (ADIPOR) gene polymorphisms with risk of colorectal cancer (CRC),but the outcomes were incomplete and inconsistent. Therefore,we conducted a meta-analysis to assess the associations systematically. All eligible case-control studies published up to Jan.2015 were searched from PubMed,the Cochrane library,Elsevier,Wiley Online library,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,WanFang data and Chongqing VIP.Effect sizes of odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (95%CI) were calculated by using a fixed-or random-effect model.Twelve case-control studies including 6141 cases and 7398 controls were selected.Significant differences in the distributions of allele frequency with CRC risk were directly present in ADIPOQ variants rs2241766,rs1501299 and ADIPOR variant rs1342387.In stratified analysis for different populations, significant differences were present in ADIPOQ variant rs822396 for Ashkenazi Jewish,in ADIPOQ variant rs1501299 and ADIPOR variant rs1342387 for Chinese and in ADIPOQ variant rs 2241766 for Ashkenazi Jewish and Chinese. In addition, the factors correlated with insulin resistance had synergistic effect with ADIPOQ variants rs2241766 T/G and rs1501299 G/T on risk of CRC.ADIPOQ variants rs2241766 T/G,rs1501299 G/T and ADIPOR variant ADIPOR rs1342387 G/A had a population specific correlation with CRC risk, which may be mediated by insulin resistance. And large well-designed studies are still needed for further evaluation of rs822396 and rs1063538,especially for their interaction and combined effect in the correlation with CRC risk.

By using enrichment media NPC and CVP, 792 strains of Pseudomonas and 515 strains of Erwinia were isolated from the rhizosphere of Digitaria adscendens (H. B. K.) Hem and Setaria vindis (L.) Beanv. Following which, experiments of antimetabolic test with E. coli, seed emergence controlling of S. viridis, herbicidal activity and security with green grass were carried out to select the desired bacteria. As the result, the selected strain, S7, could wholly control the seed emergence of S. viridis without any harm to the two tested green grass. And more, S7 promoted the seed emergence of Festuca arundinacea slightly. In spite of the comparatively low corrected mortality (56. 7%) of S7 after emergence of S. viridis, Selecting of microbial herbicides from weed DRB is thought to be more prospective.

Objective To compare the dinical outcome of posterior Gallie method with cable fixation and Harms technique with C1,2 pedicle screw fixation in treatment of odontoid fractures. Methods From July 2003 to July 2008, 26 patients with types Ⅱ and Ⅲ odontoid fractures were treated surgically. There were 18 males and 8 femalses, at age range of 22-65 years ( average 43 years). The patients were divided into Gallie titanium cable fixation group (Gallie group, n = 14) and C1 -C2 posterior screw fixation group using Harms technique (Harms group, n = 12) according to treatment methods to compare blood loss, operation duration, costs, hospital stay, bone fusion time, complications and secondary operation. Results The patients were followed up for 18-84 months ( average 37.3 months). The average blood loss and costs in Gallie group were significantly less than that in Harms group (P<0.05), while the time for back to work in Gallie group was significantly longer than that in Harms group ( P < 0. 05 ). There was no statistical difference upon operation duration, hospital stay and bone fusion time in two groups (P > 0. 05 ). There was one patient with nonunion and two with delayed union in Gallie group and one with secondary operation due to implant failure in Gallie group, and one with secondary debridement due to wound infection and one with delayed wound healing in Harms group, with no statistical difference (P > 0. 05). Conclusions Both Gallie technique with titanium cable fixation and Harms C1,2 screw fixation have advantages of early walk and short hospital stay. Compared with the former, the latter technique costs more but can help early back to work.

In order to explore the dormancy physiological and biochemical mechanism of Paris seeds, the seed embryo growth courses, and the dynamic change of 5 enzymes, include SOD, POD, CAT, MDH, G-6-PDH were measured during variable temperature stratification. The results indicated that Paris seeds embryo grew quickly after 40 d in warm-stratification (18 ± 1) °C, at the meantime the metabolic activity was significantly strengthened. These facts showed that Paris seeds turned into physiological after-ripening process. After 60-80 d, the morphological embryo after-ripping process basically completed, and the following cold-stratification (4 ± 1) °C furthered Paris seed to finish physiological after-ripening. After 40 d, the activity of MDH decreased while G-6-PDH increased significantly. This showed that the main respiratory pathway of seed changed from TCA to PPP, which benifited breaking seed dormancy. In the whole period of stratification process, the activity variation of SOD and CAT was insignificantly and the activity of POD was enhanced significantly after shifting the seed in cold stratification process. This showed that SOD, CAT had no direct effects on breaking Paris seed dormancy but keeping the seed vigor, while the POD might involve in the process of Paris seed dormancy breaking.

OBJECTIVETo study the combination of Mandibular distraction and orthognathic techniques for the reconstruction of adult hemifacial microsomia.
METHODSThe three-dimensional CT reconstruction data was used with Mimics for preoperation design. The osteotomy location, distraction vector, distraction distance were decided before operation with a surgical guider. At the first stage, internal distractor was implanted after ostetomy through an extra-oral approach. The distraction begun 5-7 days after operation with a frequency of 1 mm/day. After distraction, the distractor was maintained for 3-6 months. At the second stage, the distractor was removed. Le Fort I osteotomy was performed in order to correct the cross-bite and improve the facial contour. Usually, bone graft was inserted into the gap after Le Fort I osteotomy. The genioplasty was also performed if necessary.
RESULTS9 cases of adult hemifacial microsomia with severe mandibular deviation were treated. The facial asymmetry were improved greatly. 1 patient suffered an wound infection in the maxillary region after Le Fort I osteotomy and healed uneventfully with wound irrigation.
CONCLUSIONSMandibular distraction combined with orthognathic surgery is an effective procedure for adult hemifacial microsomia with complicated mandibular hypoplasia.
