Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(12):-
Objective To establish a rat model of pulmonary hypertension induced by left-to-right shunt and explore the influence of high pulmonary blood flow on pulmonary vascular collagen remodeling. Methods Abdominal aorta and inferior vena cava shunting was produced in rats. Pulmonary artery meanpressure (PAMP) of each rat was measured by using a right cardiac catheterization.Pulmonary artery collagen Ⅰ and Ⅲ were detected using immunohistochemisty. Results After 11 weeks of shunting the Qp/Qs was 3.3∶1.0,indicating a large shunt. Pulmonary artery mean pressure was increased as compared with controls[(23.0?0.9) mm Hg vs (15.7? 1.1) mm Hg,P

Development of liver fibrosis is closely associated with angiogenesis and abnormal vascular remodeling. Recent studies have highlighted the importance of angiogenesis and vascular remodeling in fibrogenesis, the results that inhibition of angiogenesis is effective in suppression of liver fibrosis demonstrate that therapies with several molecular targets against angiogenesis, inflammation and fibrosis might be beneficial for the treatment of cirrhosis. However, there is some evidence that inhibition of angiogenesis can even worsen fibrosis. This article outlines recent advances regarding the interplay between inflammation, angiogenesis and fibrogenesis in terms of cellular and molecular mechanisms, and suggests a requirement of greater understanding to intervene in these key processes, such as liver sinusoidal endothelial cell fenestration and impact distinct chemokine actions driving monocyte migration and differentiation, for therapeutic benefit in the future.

AIM: To study the allergic disease in recurrent tonsillitis. METHODS: Immunohistochemical technique was used to investigate interleukin-4(IL-4) production in tonsil. RESULTS:The result showed that: a higher incidence of IL-4 producing cells were found in the tonsils of all ages, and a high density of IL-4 was found in the reticular crypt epithelium and extrafollicular, but low density in germinalcenter. IL-4 has been shown play a crucial role in the pathogensis of allergic disease. CONCLUSION:Allergic disease is an important reason of recurrent tonsillitis. The conclusion will give a new way to cure recurrent tonsillitis.

Objective To investigate the influence of different timing of surgery on patients with poor-grade intracranial aneurysm. Methods The clinical data of 86 patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (Hunt-Hess gradeⅣ toⅤ)were analyzed retrospectively. The patients were divided into an ultra-early treatment group (the operative time within 24 h after onset;n=40),an early treatment group, (24 to 72 h after onset;n=27),and middle and late treatment group (>72 h after onset;n=19)according to the different timing of surgery. The prognosis of patients at 6 months after procedure was evaluated with the modified Rankin Scale (mRS)scores. The differences of the rate of good prognosis (mRS 0 to 2)and mortality in patients of the 3 groups were compared. Results (1 )The ratios of good prognosis in the ultra-early treatment group, early treatment group, and middle and late treatment group were 55. 0%(n=22),33. 3%(n=9),and 21. 1%(n=4),respectively. There were significant differences (P<0. 05). The mortality rate of the ultra-early treatment group (7. 5%)was lower than that of the early treatment group (25. 9%) or middle and late treatment group (42. 1%). There were significant differences (P<0. 05). (2)There were significant differences in the rate of good prognosis in different timing of surgery in patients with gradeⅣ(P<0. 05);there was no significant difference in the rate of good prognosis in patients with grade Ⅴ(P>0. 05). The mortality ratios in patients of the 3 groups were 2/18,4/11,and 6/11,respectively. There were significant differences (P<0. 05). Conclusion Ultra-early operation may benefit part of the patients with poor-grade aneurysm, particularly in patients with gradeⅣ. As for the patients with grade Ⅴ, ultra-early operation may help to reduce short-term mortality rate, however, the rate of vegetative state is high.

Objective To investigate and analyze the efficacy of Cervus and Cucumis Polypeptide for Injection in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee. Methods 100 patients with osteoarthritis of knee joint treated in Xinchang people's hospital from February 2015 to May 2017 were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group, with 50 patients in each group. The control group were treated with oral glucosamine capsules in the treatment of the experimental group, Cervus and Cucumis Polypeptide for Injection palliative treatment, 250 mL saline plus 25g guguatiquwu, oral Nimeilishu capsule. The treatment time of the 2 groups was one month. The therapeutic effects of the experimental group and the control group were compared and analyzed. Results After the corresponding treatment, 4 patients in the experimental group were invalid, 20 cases were effective, and 26 cases were effective. In the control group, 13 patients were ineffective. The effective rate of the experimental group was 92%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The IL-1 of the knee joint fluid in the experimental group was (8.01±1.72), and the IL-1 of the knee fluid in the control group was (7.08±0.97). The level of IL-1 in the knee joint fluid of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group, with statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Cervus and Cucumis Polypeptide for Injection is effective in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee, and can significantly improve the efficiency of treatment,.
