Objective To investigate the regularity and significance of serum interleukin-6(IL-6) levels in the patients with sepsis. Methods Forty sepsis patients with APACHEⅡ scores over 12 and 30 normal controls were involved in the study. The IL-6 levels in serum were detected with radio-immunity analysis assay and the correlations among the IL-6 levels, the prognosis and APACHEⅡ score were investigated. Results In the patients with sepsis, the average level of IL-6 in serum was(152.02?55.77) pg/ml,which was significantly higher than that of the control group [(85.79?30.96) pg/ml](P

Objective To observe the expression of SGK in decidua in patients with unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion(URSA) and to investigate its role in the course of apoptosis. Methods The expression of SGK was detected by immunohistochemistry in decidua of URSA(abortion group,n =50) and normal first trimester pregnant women(control group,n =30).The apoptotic index was detected by TUNEL.Results Compared with the control group, the positive expression of SGK decreased significantly in the abortion group, and the difference was statistically significant(x2 =6.78,P < 0.05).The average apoptotic index of the abortion group was (8.19 ± 3.58) %,which was significantly higher than (2.87 ±1.07)% of the control group(t =7.94,P<0.05).Conclusion Intensive apoptosis, the decreasing positive expression rate of SGK in decidua cells may play critical roles in URSA.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2004;10(8):490-491
ObjectiveTo observe effect of head and body acupuncture and moxibustion on stroke.Methods183 stroke patients were randomly divided into 3 groups, head acupuncture and moxibustion, body acupuncture and moxibustion, and head body acupuncture and moxibustion. After two months treatment, effects of 3 groups were evaluated.ResultsThere were no differences between head group and body group, body group and head body group, but there was significantly difference between head body group and head group (P<0.05).ConclusionThe head body acupuncture and moxibustion can gain the best clinical effect on stroke patients compared with simply head or body acupuncture and moxibustion.

Objective To observe the therapeutic effectiveness of monosialo gangliosides injection (GM-1) on cerebral palsy (CP) of children. Methods 87 children with CP were randomly divided into the observation group (51 cases) and control group (36 cases), and treated with physical therapy, acupuncture, massage and hyperbaric oxygen, but monosialo gangliosides was added to the observation group only. The development quotient (DQ) of each group was calculated by Gesell development schedules before and after the therapy respectively. Therapeutic effects of two groups were compared. Results The therapeutic effect of the observation group was more satisfactory than that of control group(P<0.05). The observation group expressed higher DQ and scores of gross motor, fine motor, language and reaction than that of control group. Conclusion Monosialo ganglioside is effective on CP.

Objective: To assess low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels and use of lipid-lowering treatment among young and middle-aged ultra-high-risk patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in China. Methods: The study was based on the"Improving Care for Cardiovascular Disease in China (CCC)-ACS"project, a collaborative registry by and Chinese Society of Cardiology (CSC) and the American Heart Association. Hospitalized-patients with ACS were consecutively enrolled from 159 tertiary and 82 secondary hospitals across China, related clinical information was collected. This study included young and middle-aged hospitalized patients (18-59 years) with ACS from November 2014 to December 2019 registered in CCC-ACS project. Ultra-high-risk was defined according to Chinese expert consensus on lipid management of ultra-high-risk atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) patients of CSC. The mean LDL-C levels at admission, pre-hospital lipid-lowering therapy and proportion of patients with LDL-C target achieved were analyzed. Results: A total of 42 230 patients younger than 60 years with ACS were included in this study. The mean age was (50.4±6.9) years, and 86.8% (36 676/42 230) of the ACS patients were male. Among them, 86.9% (36 687/42 230) met the criteria of ultra-high-risk. The mean level of LDL-C at admission was (2.8±1.0)mmol/L, only 5.3 % (1 948/36 687) patients achieved the targeted goal of LDL-C<1.4 mmol/L. Among the ultra-high-risk ASCVD patients, 17.5% (6 430/36 687) received lipid-lowering drugs before hospitalization, 96.4% (6 198/6 430) of whom received statins monotherapy. Among patients receiving pre-hospital statins, only 9.9% (626/6 323) patients reached an LDL-C<1.4 mmol/L at admission. Conclusions: The majority of young and middle-aged hospitalized patients with ACS are ultra-high-risk patients for ASCVD in China. Pre-hospital lipid-lowering drugs use is lower in these ultra-high-risk ASCVD patients and most patients do not reach the new LDL-C target level at admission.

Herald of Medicine 2015;34(12):1627-1632
Objective To optimize a W/O microemulsion formulation of troxerutin and evaluate its physical properties such as morphology, droplet size, stability and content of troxerutin. Methods The W/O microemulsion was optimized using a pseudoternary phase diagram and the area of the microemulsion region was used to screen and determine microemulsion components.HPLC assay was used for determination of the loading content. Results The optimal formulation contained lecithin, ethanol, isopropyl myristate and water (23.30:11.67:52.45:12.59).The microemulsion was physicochemically stable with round shape and uniform size, and the mean droplet size was about 50. 20 nm. Conclusion Microemulsion was developed successfully. It will expect to be the new preparation for troxerutin.

Objective:To explore the effect of red blood cell distribution width (RDW) on long-term follow-up study in patients with acute pulmonary thromboembolism (APE).
Methods:A total of 214 consecutive patients with the first episode of APE admitted in our hospital from 2009-01 to 2012-12 were enrolled. The patients were divided into 2 groups:RDW≤15%group, n=202 and RDW>15%group, n=12. Baseline RDW was measured at admission, the follow-up study was conducted at 3, 6, 12 months thereafter, and then at once per year. The major primary end point was chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). The independent predictor for CTEPH occurrence was studied by uni-and multivariate logistic regression analysis and the predictive capability of RDWwas evaluated by ROC curve.
Results: All patients ifnished the follow-up study at the mean of (31±17) months. The overall occurrence rate of CTEPH was 7.5% (16/214), which was higher in RDW>15% group than that in RDW≤15% group (33.3% vs 5.9%, P=0.002). Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that with adjusted clinical data and other predictors, RDW>15%was still the strong predictor for CTEPH occurrence (OR=7.916, 95%CI 1.474-42.500, P=0.016). Adding RDW to the evaluating model, the predictive capability could be signiifcantly improved by ROC curve (AUC increased from 0.856 to 0.901, P<0.01).
Conclusion: Elevated RDW is the independent predictor for CTEPH occurrence in APE patients, which is helpful to estimate the prognosis and treatment strategy in APE patients.
