Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(22):-
Objective To assess the clinical efficacy of laparoscopic uterine artery blockage for the treatment of adenomyosis. Methods Laparoscopic uterine artery blockage was performed in 38 patients with adenomyosis. Enucleation and excision or vaporization of endometriosis were performed at the same time in patients with chocolate cyst of ovary and endometriosis. Lysis of adhesion and presacral neurectomy were performed in some patients. Symptoms and uterine volumes of all patients were investigated after the treatment. Results Relieved clinical symptoms were found in all 38 patients. Menorrhagia was reduced to (56?16)%. Complete disappearance of dysmenorrhea was found in 17 patients (44.7%), significantly alleviated in 14 patients (36.8%), partially alleviated in 6 patients (15.8%), but ineffectiveness in 1 patient (2.6%). Pain score and classification were decreased significantly (P

Objective To provide a clinical anatomic basis for the bi-pedicled gastrocnemius myocuta- neous flap which is to be used to repair defects of the Achilles tendon and posterior skin of the ankle. Methods In anatomic study, out of 30 cadaver specimens,bi-pedicled V-Y gastrocnemius myoeutaneous flaps were harvested to measure the downward sliding lengths of the flap when the knee was at flexion of different degrees. In clinic,12 patients with the Achilles tendon and posterior ankle skin defects were repaired with the bi-pedicled gastrocnemius myocutaneous flaps. The areas of composite defects ranged from 10 cm?6 cm to 6 cm?4 cm.They were followed up for four months to 12 years. Results The maximal sliding length of the flap reached (9.2?0.9)cm when the knee was at flexion of 90?.All the clinical flaps survived and ambulation of the patients recovered. The dorsiflexion and plantarflexion of the ankles reached 11.0??1.4?and 35.0??4.6?respectively.Conclusion This flap is suitable for one-stage repair of composite Achilles tendon defects.

The study aimed to clone the open reading frame of cinnamate 4-hydroxylase (C4H) from Aquilaria sinensis and analyze the bioinformatics and expression of the gene. One unique sequence containing C4H domain was discovered in our previous reported wound transcriptome dataset of A. sinensis. The open reading frame of C4H was cloned by RT-PCR strategy with the template of mixed RNA extracted from A. sinensis stem which treated by different wound time. The bioinformatic analysis of this gene and its corresponding protein was performed. C4H expression profiles in responds to MeJA (methyl jasmonate) application were analyzed by real-time PCR. The length of C4H open reading frame (ORF) was 1 515 bp, encoding 514 amino acids. The GenBank accession number is KF134783. Inducible-experiments showed that the genes were induced by mechanical wound as well as MeJA induction, and reached the highest expression level at 8 h and 20 h, respectively. The full-length cDNA of C4H and its expression patterns will provide a foundation for further research on its function in the molecular mechanisms of aromatic compounds and flavonoids biosynthesis.

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the content determination of sinomenine in Qihuang capsule. METHODS:HPLC was performed on the column of welch C18-AQ with mobile phase of methanol-phosphate buffer(gradient elution) at flow rate of 1.0 ml/min,detection wavelength was 264 nm,column temperature was 30 ℃ and volume injection was 10 μl. RESULTS:The linear range of sinomenine was 0.200 3-10.016 0 μg(r=0.999 8),RSDs of precision, stability and reproducibility tests were lower than 1.0%,recovery was 98.80%-100.94%(RSD=0.79%,n=6). CONCLUSIONS:The method is simple, accurate and re-producible,and can be used for the content determination of sinomenine in Qihuang capsule.

Objective To evaluate the effects of diagnosis and treatment of acute pancreatitis com- plicating pseudoaneurysm by CT scan and transcatheter embolization. Methods Eighteen cases of acute panereatitis complicating pseudoaneurysm were performed abdominal angiography and transcatheter em- bolization. The CT and digital substraction angiography(DSA)findings and clinical data were retrospec- tively analyzed. The location of pseudoaneurysm and hemostasis were observed. Results CT scan re- vealed regional or diffuse slight high density fluid collections in abdominal cavity of all patients.En- hanced CT showed contained extravasation of contrast which indictated ruptured the pseudoaneurysm. DSA revealed 22 pseudoaneurysm, and 20 had evidence of bleeding. All pseudoaneurysms were success- fully embolized with coils, and hemostasis was achieyed in 18 pseudoaneurysm immediately. Conclusions The acute pancreatitis complicating pseudoaneurysm can be examined with CT scan and transcatheter embolization is safe and effective therapeutic method.

Objective To evaluate the clinical application and safety of CT-guided pereutaneous transthoracic biopsy in the diagnosis of mediastinal masses. Methods Thirty three cases were undertaken CT- guided percutaneous transthoraeie biopsy with automatic biopsy gun and then the sampling specimens were undergone histological examination. The accuracy of puncture, diagnostic correctness and complications were analyzed. Results The operations were performed successfully in all 33 cases(100%),the definite pathologic diagnosis were made in 28 out of 33 cases(85%)and no complications occurred. Conclusion As for midiastinal masses,CT-guided percutaneous transthoracic biopsy is a feasible, successful, efficient interventional diagnostic method with high accuracy in localization, puncture, diagnosis and few complications, which should he recommended in clinical use more widely.(J Intervent Radiol,2007,16:852-854)
