Objective To explore the relationship betwween the location and efficiency of skin expansion. Methods Total 218 expanders were used in 115 patients between 1994 and 2002. According to the different location of skin expansion, they were divided into 5 groups:face, scalp, neck, chest and posterior auricular skin. Comparison of the location of expanders with expanding time and its complications was performed. A total of 104 marine bacterial strains were isolated from Stelletta tennui around Sanya area of South China Sea by dilution-plate method and were screened for anti-microbial activity on Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureu, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Bacillus subtilis, Aspergillus niger, Candida albicans and Pacecilomyces variotii by agar diffusion, paper disc diffusion assay and cell concentration counts methods. It was found that 23 strains, which are 22.2% of the total isolated strains, have anti-microbial activities. Among the 23 strains, A05, A08, A72 and A75 were morphologically, physiologically and biochemically characterized and identified to be the genus Bacillus. At the same time, it was proved that there are positive and negative synergistic effects between or among active strains, e.g., as for A72-75 combination, an obvious enhanced anti-microbial activities on inhibiting Candida albicans and Pseudomomas fluorescens growth was observed than A72 or A75.

Obejective To explore the correlation of Orexin A and respiratory drive in chronic obstructive pulmo-nary disease (COPD) patients. Methods Pulmonary function was tested in 30 stable COPD patients and 20 normal healthy adults. Plasma orexin A level was measured with a radioimmunoassay kit. The correlation of Orexin A with BMI, age, BDI, FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC, MEP, MIP, P0.1 in COPD patients was analyzed. Results Plasma Orexin A levels in patients with COPD group(1.87±0.43)ng/L was higher than those in the control group(1.49±0.19)ng/L, P<0.01. Plasma Orexin A lev-els in patients with COPD correlated negatively with FEV1(r=-0.389,P < 0.05),and correlated positively with P0.1(r=0.728,P<0.01). Conclusion Plasma orexin A in COPD patients increased which may be caused by smoking and hyper-capnia. Orexin A may play a crucial role in regulating respiratory drive in COPD patients.

AIM:To establish an HPLC-ELSD method for determing dulcitol and astragaloside in Compound Fufangteng Capsules(Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng rubra,Radix Astragali,Herba Euonymi,etc).METHOD:Chro-matographic conditions included Lichrospher 5-NH_2 column(250 mm?4.6 mm,5 ?m)and the mobile phase consisting of a mixture of acetonitrile-water(91 ∶9).The flow rate of mobile phase was 1.0 mL/min.The column tempe-rature was at 28 ℃.Detector:PL-ELS2100 ELSD(Eva:65 ℃,Ned:50 ℃,gas flow:0.9 L/min).RESULTS:The linear ranges of dulcitol and astragaloside were 2.91-29.1 ?g(r= 0.999 8)and 1.03-10.3 ?g(r= 0.999 1),respectively.The average recoveries of dulcitol and astragaloside were 99.24% and 103.17% with corresponding RSD of 2.6 % and 1.8%(n=6),respectively.CONCLUSION:The method is steady and with good repeatability,and can be used to determine the content of dulcitol and astragaloside in Compound Fufangteng Capsules.

Objective To explore the therapeutic efficacy of three different treatment regimens for conservative treatment of ec‐topic pregnancy(EP) .Methods Clinical data of 198 cases of patients with EP who were conservatively treated in this hospital from June 2012 to June 2014 were retrospectively analysed .All patients were divided into group A (39 cases) ,group B(92 cases) and group C(67 cases) ,which were treated with single‐dose of methotrexate(MTX) ,MTX combined with mifepristone and multiple‐dose of MTX respectively .The curative rate and time for human chorionic gonadotropin beta‐subunit(β‐HCG) dropping to normal were observed and recorded .Results The total curative rates in three groups were statistically different (P<0 .05) ,additionally , group C had the highest curative rate(86 .57% ) ,followed by group B with 84 .78% and group A with 66 .67% .In the three groups , for patients with serum level of β‐HCG 1 500-3 000 mIU/mL or >3 000 mIU/mL ,the curative rates were statistically different (P<0 .05) .Conclusion Single‐dose of MTX has relative low curative rate .It is recommend to use combination regimens or multi‐ple‐dose of MTX regimens ,and for patients with high level of β‐HCG multiple‐dose of MTX regimens might be the best choice .

Objective To investigate the methods of isolation, cultivation of adipose derived stem cells (ADSCs) from the rats'adipose tissue and the feasibility of inducting differentiation to chondrocyte.Methods The adipose tissue was obtained from the wistar's male rats, and it was isolated, cultivated, and subcultured. The expression of CD29 in the subcultured ADSCs was detected by immunofluorescence. The 3rd generation ADSCs was cultured in the medium contained TGF-β, and the presence was identified by type Ⅱ collagen immunohistochemistry. Results The character of ADSCs'morphology could be observed by microscope, and it can be identified by immunofluorescence. Through the course of inducting the ADSCs to chondrocyte, the feasibility of inducting ADSCs to chondrocyte showed that type Ⅱ collagen was expressed.Conclusion We demonstrated the presence of stem cells in the adipose tissue, and the stability of biological feature in vitro. The chondrocyte could be obtained from the adipose tissue through the committed differentiation, induction, cultivation by exogenous transforming growth factor (TGF-β). The ability of the adipose stem cell differentiating to chondrocyte was also proved.

ObjectiveTo investigate the cause,diagnosis and treatment measures of neonatal pneumothorax.MethodsThe clinical data of 98 cases with neonatal pneumothorax in our hospital from Mar 2005 to Mar 2010 were reviewed retrospectively.ResultsThere were 27 premature neonates and 71 full-term neonates in the 98 cases.Ten cases were spontaneous pneumothorax and 88 cases were non spontaneous pneumothorax.After the treatnent of primary disease,pleural aspiration,chest drainage and mechanical ventilation,88 cases were cured,8 cases were improved and 2 cases died.ConclusionNeonatal pneumothorax is related with cesarean section,improper use of endotracheal intubation,meconium aspiration,premature hyaline membrane disease using pulmonary surfactant and ventilator therapy.Most pneumothorax is due to lung disease.The prevention of preterm birth and asphyxia can reduce the incidence of neonatal pneumothorax.
