Abstract: A new selaginellin derivative named as selaginellin S (1) was isolated from the whole plants of Selaginella pulvinata (Hook. et Grev.) Maxim. (Selaginellaceae), together with a known one (selaginellin M, 2). Compounds 1 and 2 were separated and purified by silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. Their structures were determined on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis including IR, MS, 1D and 2D NMR experiments, as well as ECD calculations. Compound 1 is a key intermidiant in the biosynthesis pathway of selaginellins. Compound 2 is first reported in this plant.

The intracellular hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) content per cell was increased by 7.2-fold in the culture with 1.5% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) compared with that in the control without DMSO, while the extracellular HBsAg production and specific productivity were only improved by 70% and 3.2-fold, respectively. Electron microscope has been employed to reveal large dilated structures within recombinant CHO cells in the presence DMSO. The dilated structures have a distribution within whole cytoplasm, and some dilated areas were engulfed in the nucleus. These large, dilated structures were not observed in the control. Immunogold labeling was used to discover the accumulated HBsAg was localized within these dilated areas, and some HBsAg-specific labels were detected in the nucleus membrane, owing to the encroachment of the dilated areas upon nucleus. The result could help to reveal the mechanism of intracellular HBsAg accumulation in the presence of DMSO.

OBJECTIVE: To develop a set of consummated comprehensive application platform that meets the actual demand so as to promote hospital treatment level and pharmaceutical care quality.METHODS: The protocol and standard meeting the international standard was adopted for system design.The currently popular combination tools(Apache+PHP+MySQL) set was developed and an open information resources management system and multi-structured architecture were established.RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: This system is practical,advanced and safe and it is composed of 5 modules: drug inquiry system,rational drug use system,management on adverse drug reactions,pharmacy administrative management and network management.The system can not only guarantee the compatibility and the expandability of system,but also meet the needs of the development of hospital pharmacy and effectively enhance the rational drug use.

Objective To explore the qualification and consuming of iodized salt at wholesale and household levels after Salt Iodization.Methods Iodized salt surveillance at wholesale and household levels every year by detecting iodine content.Direct titration method(GB/T 13025.7-1999)was used for salt iodjne detecting and arbitration method was used for Sichuan salt and special salt.Results Five thousand six hundred and seventy five samples of 227 batches from 3 wholesale industries were detected during 1996-2000,batch qualification rate was 60.79%(138/227)and iodized salt qualification rate was 61.83%(3509/5675).During 2001-2007,2556 samples of 252 batches from wholesale levels were detected.The batch qualification rate and iodized salt qualification rate were 1 00%(252/252)and 99.88%(2553/2556),respectively.At household level.1583 samples from 236 villages were detected during 1996-2000.Iodized salt qualification rate was 74.24%(1 170/1576)and consuming rate of qualified iodized salt was 73.91%(1 170/1583)and iodine median was 45.14 mg/kg.During 2001-2007,13 140 samples from 1656 villages were detected.Iodized salt qualification rate,consuming rate 0f qualified iodized salt and iodine median were 98.03%(12 830/13 088),97.64%(12 830/13 140)and 30.13 mg/kg,respectively. The most difference of iodine content was 3.46 mg/kg in 3 wholesale industries.At household level there was a 4.95%reduction in comparison with at wholesale level.Conclusions Salt iodization level and edible iodine salt reach the national requirements of iodine deficiency control from the starting stage.The quality 0f iodized saIt at household level related to the exclusive wholesale industry and loss phenomenon maybe existed when salt was sold from wholesale industries to residents.

Objective:This study aims to analyze the relationship between the effect of induction chemotherapy and the timing of radiotherapy in limited-disease or limited-stage small-cell lung cancer (LSCLC). Methods: Data from 148 LSCLC patients who re-ceived induction chemotherapy and radiotherapy between January 2009 and December 2012 were retrospectively analyzed. The effect of two to three cycles of induction chemotherapy was evaluated according to the RECIST version 1.1, which includes complete re-sponse (CR), partial response (PR), stable disease, and progressive disease. CR and PR were used to calculate response rate. The pa-tients were divided into early and late groups based on immediate radiotherapy after two to three cycles of induction chemotherapy. The survival rate was analyzed using the Kaplan-Meier method. Log-rank test and Cox regression model were used to evaluate the influenc-ing factors of the survival rate. Results: The median overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) were 22.8 and 13.0 months, respectively. The early and late radiotherapy groups exhibited OS of 34.0 and 18.0 months, respectively, and corresponding PFS of 16.8 and 10.9 months. In the subgroup analysis, for the patients who responded to the induction chemotherapy, the early and late radiotherapy groups showed median OS of 18.0 and 19.5 months, respectively, and corresponding PFS of 19.4 and 11.7 months. For the patients who had no response to the induction chemotherapy, the early and late radiotherapy groups exhibited median OS of 18.0 and 9.5 months, respectively, and corresponding PFS of 12.4 and 10.3 months. Conclusion:All LSCLC patients who received two to three cycles of induction chemotherapy should receive radiotherapy as soon as possible after chemotherapy, regardless of their response to the induction chemotherapy.

Candida shehatae xyl1 gene and Pichia stipitis xyl2 gene were amplified by PCR and the xyl1 and xyl2 were both placed under the promoter GAL of vector pYES2 to produce the recombinant expression vector pYES2-P12. Subsequently the pYES2-P12 vector was transformed into S. cerevisiae YS58 by LiAc to produce the recombinant yeast YSS8-12. It was indicate that the recombinant yeast YSS8-12 could converse xylose to ethanol with the xylose consumption rate of 81. 3%.

Aiming at molybdate and boron deficient acid purple soil from main peanut cultivated areas in Sichuan,and Mo and B requirement of peanut growth,the feasibility of Co-inoculum of peanut Bradyrhizobium and molybdate and boron was studied.The tolerance to molybdate and boron of the tested strains Spr2-9,Spr4-5 was inspected.The result indicated that the two tested strains could tolerate higher concentration of molybdate than that of boron.The compound inoculum of Bradyrhizobial strain and trace element Mo was developed.The optimum concentration of Mo was 0.4%.

Objective To evaluate the blood supply features and effectiveness of arterial chemoembolization for pedunculated hepatocellular carcinoma.Methods Angiography and chemoembolization via supplying blood arteries of tumor were performed in five patients with pedunculated hepatocellular carcinoma.Interventional procedure was carried out with tumor vascular infusion of 350 mg hot elemene emulsion and tumor embolization by cisplantin-lipidol emulsion(cisplantin 60-80 mg+lipidol 8-15 ml)and glutin.Results Ten interventional procedures(TACE)were undertaken in 5 patients.Angiography showed that tumor blood supply mainly coming from collateral circulation adjacent to the tumors,but partially from hepatic artery.Tumor sizes decreased from 30% to 50% in 5 cases,and AFP declined in 4 cases after the treatment. Conclusion Pedunculated hepatocellular carcinoma possessing different blood supply features from intrahepatocellular carcinomas.But transarterial ehemoembolization is still an effective method of choice for this treatment.
