Objective To study the protective effect of verapamil against ischemia reperfusion injury when liver was resected. Methods The routine Pringle's maneuver hepatic vascular occlusion in 18~20min. Thirty-nine patients for resection of liver with cirrhosis were randomly divided into two groups, Verapamil group (n=20), the 20 patients with hepatectomy were given by 5mg verapamil through right gastroepiploic vein before blocking porta hepatis.Physiologic saline group (n=19), were injected by 20ml saline in the same way.The variation of postoperative liver function were measured.Liver intracellular [Ca 2+ ]i and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) after being reperfused for 1h were measured as well as the hepatic histopathologic alterations were also examined. Results The levels of intracellular [Ca 2+ ]i concentrations, alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase(AST)from the verapamil group increment less than those of the physiologic saline group(P

Purpose:To evaluate the Application of Ultrasound Guided Mammotome Minimallay Invasive Biopsy System in diagnosis and treatment of breast masses. Methods:68 breast lesions in 42 patients were performed by Ultrasound Guided Mammotome Minimallay Invasive Biopsy System in order to evaluateits diagnostic and therapeutic ifficacy. Results:40 lesions were diagnosed as fibroadenoma , 19 lesions as fibroadenomatoid hyperplasia, 7 lesions as breast adenosis,2 lesions diagnosed as galactocele in operation but fibre and fat tissue after operation by pathology. 67 lesions were excised by mammotome system. 1 lesion was stopped duete hmorrage,1 case had serious hematoma. 1 case had machine failure but was resolved. The excision times were on the average 28 in every lesion, the lengh of incision is only 3mm,and the duration of operation was 30 minutes. No evidence of recurrence was found by physical examination and the ultrasound evaluation during the follow up 1~6 monthes. Conclusions:Ultrasound guided mammotome minimallay invasive biopsy system excision for benign breast mass was complete and the postoperative breast appearance was satisfactory.

Postpartum inferior vena cava (IVC) thrombosis is a rare, but potentially life-threatening disorder. Here we reported one case of the youngest woman to date who presented with massive IVC thrombus extending from deep veins of the right leg to the level of the 11th thoracic vertebra, associated with asymptomatic pulmonary embolism.

The cell-impedance substrate sensor, which is mainly used to detect the shapes and function ofcells and other micro.organism.is a novel tool based on the technique of BIOMEMS to study the cellular physiologyand clinical Dharmasology. It has drawn attention from both domestic and international scholars as well as compa nies in recent years for its advantages such as innovative design and long-term non-invasive monitoring. This paperintroduces the interfacial model of cell-sensor in detail and gives a sketch of the recent international researchprogress. Then the novel interdigitated array, which was designed in our group recently,is introduced. The fore ground of development is discussed in the end.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(06):-
Objective To establish a successful model for pancreaticoduodenal allotransplantation with enteric drainage in piglet and surveillance acute rejection by biopsy. Methods We implemented the model same as protocol of clinical pancrease transplantation.40 piglets were divided into donors and recipients randomly.20 times experimental operation were finished. The total pancreas with a short segment of duodenum was transplanted to a recipient by anastomoses of vessels to the recipient iliac vessels and small bowel segment to the jejunum with enteric drainage. During operation, mean arterial pressure(MAP), central venous pressure(CVP)were monitored. The levels of amylase activity in blood were investigated.Doppler color blood flow ultrasonography was used to evaluate blood flow of pancreatic allografts, and ultrasound-guided percutaneous pancreas allograft biopsy and histopathologic examination were performed. Results The successful rate of operation was 90%. Recipient's MAP was decreased after the reopening of inosculated blood vessels.(P

Objective To investigate the relationships between the expressions of intercellular adhesion molecule 1(ICAM-1),heat shock protein 70(HSP70) and acute rejection after pancreas allotransplantation in miniature swine. Methods Ultrasound guided biopsies of the pancreas and histopathologic examination were performed after the miniature swine models of pancreas allotransplantation were established.According to the histological change, the samples were divided into group Ⅰ(no rejection),group Ⅱ(mild acute rejection),group Ⅲ(moderate acute rejection)and group Ⅳ(serious acute rejection). The expressions of ICAM-1 and HSP70 were analyzed with immunohistochemistry and imaging. Results The expressions of ICAM-1 and HSP70 were increased when acute rejection occurred after pancreas allotransplantation in miniature swine. The levels of ICAM-1 and HSP70 were sequentially high when acute rejection was serious. Conclusion ICAM-1 and HSP70 were involved in pancreas allograft rejection and useful for early diagnosis of acute rejection after pancreas transplantation.

Objective To study the alternation of coagulation and fibrinolysis in patients with gastric cancer(GC) . Method Platelet aggregation test(PAGT), prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT), tissue factor pathway inhibitor(TFPI), D-dimer and tissue plasminogen activator(t-PA: a)were detected in 48 GC patients(GC group) at two weeks pre- and post-operation respectively;and compared with non-tumor patients(control group). Results Compared with control group, in GC group, especially in GC patients with lymphatic metastasis, the PAGT increased (P

Objective To discuss and evaluate the value of insertion of inferior vena cava filter in treating lower extremity deep venous thrombosis(DVT).Methods Inferior vena cava filters were placed in 46 patients with lower extremity DVT prior treatment,20 in which were treated by therapy with anticoagulation and thrombolysis, and therapy with pressure gradient, and the other 26 patients by operation and thrombolysis therapy, and therapy with pressure gradient.Whether patients occurred pulmonary embolism was observed and the form and site of filters were monitored by periodic fluoroscopy. Results Inferior vena cava filters were placed successfully in all patients,38 cases were implanted permanence inferior vena cava filter,8 cases were implanted temporary inferior vena cava filter.Symptoms and signs of DVT disappeared or remitted in 44/46 patients after treatment.None of pulmonary embolism was occurred.Follow up 2-24 months(average 13 months) for 36 cases with permanence inferior vena cava filter, there was no complication of the filter and pulmonary embolism occurred. Conclusions The method of inserting inferior vena cava filter is simple and safe, which can prevent pulmonary embolism effectually to offer sufficient safeguard for the treatment of DVT.
