Chinese Journal of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine 2014;34(8):1013-1016
According to the principle of evidence-based medicine (EBM), Chinese medical literatures based descriptive statistical analysis of common Chinese medical syndrome types were performed. By data extraction, standardization, and frequency calculation of disease names and syndrome types from 286 literatures in line with the inclusion criteria, the frequencies of diseases and syndromes were obtained to analyze common syndrome types in clinical practice, to analyze the distribution features of disease related syndromes and syndrome related diseases, to analyze the distribution of basic Chinese medical syndrome types in clinical common diseases as a whole, thus providing reference for clinical and basic researches.

Journal of Experimental Hematology 2012;20(4):922-925
The aim of this study was to explore the effect of DAPT (N-[N-(3,5-difluorophenacetyl)-L-alanyl]-S-phenylglycinet-butyl ester) on proliferation in vitro of human multiple myeloma cell line RPMI8226 and its underlying mechanism. The proliferation of RPMI8226 cells was detected by CCK-8 method; flow cytometry was employed to assay the cell apoptosis rate;the expressions of Notch1 and Hes1 proteins were detected by Western blot. The results indicated that the proliferation of human RPMI8226 cells significantly decreased after treatment with DAPT 0.5 - 5.0 µmol/L for 24 - 72 h (P < 0.05) in a concentration- and time-dependent manner. DAPT significantly induced apoptosis of RPMI8226 cells (P < 0.05). The expressions of Notch1 and Hes1 proteins were gradually downregulated with the increase of DAPT concentration. It is concluded that the DAPT can inhibit the proliferation of RPMI8226 cells, which may be related with the down-regulation of the protein expression of Notchl and Hes1.

Objective To observe the effect of thumb pressing at Yangming Meridian on the function rehabilitation after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) for knee osteoarthritis (KOA).Method Sixty KOA patients after TKA were randomized into a treatment group (thumb pressing at Yangming Meridian plus conventional rehabilitation) and a control group (single conventional rehabilitation),30 cases each. The treatment group was intervened by thumb pressing and kneading manipulation at the acupoints of Foot Yangming Meridian and Foot Taiyin Meridian plus rehabilitation training of passive flexion and extension by CPM machine, while the control group was intervened by rehabilitation training of passive flexion and extension by CPM machine. The American Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) for knee joint, the American Knee Society score (KSS) and the Western Ontario and the McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) of KOA were used to evaluate the function.Result After the treatment, the HSS,KSS and WOMAC scores were changed significantly in both groups (P<0.05).The improvements of HSS,KSS and WOMAC scores in the treatment group were superior to those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The efficacy of thumb pressing at Yangming Meridian plus conventional rehabilitation for post-TKA KOA is superior to single conventional rehabilitation.

Objective To observe the clinical effect of neonatal respiratory failure therapy with mechanical ventilation. Methods Forty - eight cases of neonatal respiratory failure were applied endotracheal intubation through mouth. At first, ventilation was given via the intermittent positive - pressure ventilation + peak end - expiratory pressure( IPPV + PEEP) way. Later, the breath parameters were regulated and transited to the intermittent mandatory ventilation( IMV) way according to original illness. When frac - tional concentration of in-spired gas(FiO2)

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of myasthenia gravis (MG) associated autoantibodies. Methods Titin, ryanodine receptor (RyR)and acetylcholine receptor (AChR) antibodies were examined in the sera of 74 myasthenia gravies patients by ELISA.Results AChR,Titin, RyR antibodies were detected in 77.0% (57/74),39.2% (29/74) and 32.4% (24/74) of the MG patients, respectively. For thymoma MG,AChR,Titin and RyR antibodies were detected in 76.2% (16/21),71.4% (15/21) and 52.4% (11/21) respectively. For late onset MG,Titin and RyR antibodies were detected in 77.3% (17/22) and 50.0% (11/22) respectively. With respect to the modified Osserman classification, the positve rate for Titin and RyR antibodies is much higher in more severe patients (X~2= 16.094,P=0.001;X~2=11.226,P=0.011).Titin antibodies was significantly related with RyR antibodies (r=0.380,P=0.001).Conclusions Titin and RyR antibodies show high sensitivity for thymoma MG,and the combination of serological and radiological testing can increase both sensitivity and specificity in diagnosis of thymoma MG.The levels of the two antibodies may serve as important prognosis markers in MG.The induction of the immune response against Titin and RyR and the possible pathogenic effects of the two antibodies will be further studied.

Objective To investigate the effect of low frequency electric deep brain stimulation on amygdale kindling in rats. Methods The amygdale kinkling model of rats was established by operation on the brain. The effects of low frequency deep brain electric stimulation used alone or in combination with anti-epilepsy drugs were ob- served in terms of severity of seizure attack reflected by Racine's scale and afterdischarge duration recorded in electro- encephalogram. Results Fifteen minutes of low frequency electric stimulation at 1 Hz and 100 to 350?A effective- ly inhibited amygdale kindling as demonstrated by a significant decrease of afterdischarge duration, and decreased the severity of seizure attack (P

OBJECTIVETo establish a near-infrared qualitative analysis model to identify the authenticity of Polygonum multiflo- rum and distinguish processed products Polygoni Multiflori Radix.
METHODThe NIR spectra were peformed on over 30 batches of P. multiflorum and Polygoni Multiflori Radix samples and the adulterants Cynanchum bungei, Pteroxygonum giraldii, Polygonum cillinerve to establish the qualitative discriminant model and the conformity test model of Polygonum multifiorum , and cluster analysis was used to analyze the samples from different origins.
RESULTThe model is able to identify correctly P. multiflorum with its counterfeit, and distinguish between P. multiflorum and Polygoni multiflori Radix.
CONCLUSIONNear-infrared spectroscopy can be applied in the identification of P. multiflorum, which could be used to screen Chinese herbal medicine preliminarily.

Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2016;29(4):392-394
Objective The control rate of blood pressure in hypertension patients is very low in our country , while follow-up intervention can significantly improve the situation .This study aimed to evaluate the clinical effects of anti-hypertension under follow-up intervention . Methods From October 2013 to October 2014 , 125 patients with hypertension were chose as the study objectives after first clinical anti-hypertension and were divided into intervention group (follow-up,n=65) and control group(no follow-up,n=60). Comparative analysis was made in blood pressure control , compliance with therapy and cardiovascular event incidence between the two groups after 12 weeks'intervention. Results After 12 weeks, diastolic and systolic blood pressure in intervention group was signifi-cantly lower than that in control group (P<0.05).Significant difference was also found in the compliance with drug-taking between in-tervention group and control group (73.8%vs 43.3%, P<0.01).During the follow-up period, 1 case in the control group suffered stroke and unstable angina pectoris hospitalized for treatment . Conclusion Follow-up intervention after clinical service can improve the efficacy of blood pressure control and encourage the patients to live healthy lifestyle .
