To find clinical significance of routine “dipstick” urinalysis on admission, we analyzed the results of the “dipstick” urinalyses performed in 844 patients admitted to the pediatric department of Yeungnam University hospital from May 1, 1983 to October 31, 1984. Ketonuria, proteinuria, hematuria and glucosuria were found in 9.5%, 4.9%, 2.4% and 1.1% of the patients respectively. There were no significant differences by sex, age and presence of fever. However, proteinuria and ketonuria were found more frequently in the patients with dehydration (p<0.05). All of the patients with proteinuria and ketonuria showed negative results on follow up. However, among 13 patients with hematura, 9 patients showed negative results and 4 patients had persistent hematuria on follow up. These 4 patients were found to have chronic pyelonephritis (2), asymptomatic urinary tract infection (1) and benign recurrent hematuria (1). This routine “dipstick” urinalysis on admission seems to be simple test which is useful in detecting unrecognized kidney and other urinary tract disease.

Purpose:To study the effect of inhibition of telomerase activity and cell cycle by transcriptase telomerase inhibitors (3′ azido 3′ deoxythymidine, AZT) on squamous cell carcinoma of tongue in vitro.Methods:Human squmous cell carcinoma of tongue cell line Tca8113 was used as target cell. Telomerase activity was determined by TRAP PCR ELISA in untreated and treated Tca8113 by AZT, cell cycle phases were analyzed by flow cytometry. Results:Telomerase activity of Tca8113 was significantly inhibited when treated with AZT, and the effect of inhibition was dose dependant (rate of telomerase activity treated with AZT in 0.3, 0.6, 1.0, 1.5mol 10 -1 was 0.69 0.03, 0.61 0.08, 0.53 0.11, 0.50 0.02 respectively, rate of telomerase activity treated without AZT was 0.76 0.06). Microbial lipases have been widely used in traditional industries,as well as in emerging biocatalysed areas owing to their ability to catalyze a variety of reactions in aqueous and non-aqueous media.Therefore,it is very important to enhance amount of lipase production by recombinant overexpression for meeting market demand.A critical review of main and novel strategies which have been employed for recombinant expression of microbial lipases are presented,including codon optimization,fusion and co-expression,dual expression system based on hybrid promoters,homologous overexpression,cell surface displaying and high-throughput screening based on gene library of expression.These new technologies are gradually coming to the forefront in the recombinant expression of lipase,especially for cell surface displaying and high-throughput screening based on gene library of expression.Meanwhile,several recombinant expressions for representative microbial lipases were also introduced and discussed,which are available for consultation when attempting to overexpress any lipases by scientists and industrialists.

Objective To observe the effect of Xiaoyukang capsule on the treatment of limb fracture healing.Methods65 patients according to randomized double-blind were divided into two groups (n=33) and control group (n=32 patients), postoperative observation group Xiaoyukang capsule treatment, control group were not special treatment.At different time points in all patients visual analog scale (VAS score), fracture healing fracture line score and grade the degree of X-ray, using Elisa method of total osteocalcin and collagen type I amino-terminal extension of a peptide levels (TPINP) was measured analysis of two sets of data differences.ResultsThe patients in the observation group 3 days, 7 days after, 10 days after VAS scores were lower than the control group[(3.49±0.31) points vs.4.69±0.46 points](P<0.05);[(2.40±0.25) points vs.(3.54±0.35)points](P<0.05);(1.33±0.14) points than (2.42±0.27) points, P<0.05).Patients observed Group 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks after the fracture line rates were higher (1.59±0.27 points than (1.01±0.21) points(P<0.05);(2.65±0.40) points than (1.96 ± 0.36)min, P<0.05;(3.45±0.46) points than (2.65 ± 0.41) points(P<0.05).③ patients after 8 weeks of observation group and TPINP water osteocalcin were higher (65.37±8.07)μg/L ratio(39.95±7.18)μg/L(P<0.05);[(81.05±6.89)ng /mL ratio of (39.95±7.18) μg/L] (P<0.05).④ observation group 8 weeks after fracture healing X-ray grade level 69.70% than the control group 37.50%, and the difference was significant (P<0.05).Conclusionlimb fracture patients after taking the capsules Xiaoyu relieve pain, regulate the body and osteocalcin levels TPINP to promote fracture healing.

To ensure the quality and safety of Panax notoginseng, a method for the simultaneous determination of 10 mycotoxins in Panax notoginseng was developed using ultra performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). The sample was extracted with acetonitrile and purified by HLB multifunction cleanup column. The separation was performed on a Phenomenex Kinetex XB-C18 column by gradient elution using methanol and 5 mmol·L(-1) ammonium acetate as mobile phase. The targeted compounds were detected in MRM mode by mass spectrometry with electrospray ionization (ESI) source operated in both positive and negative ionization modes. The linear relationships of the 10 mycotoxins were good in their respective linear ranges. The correlation coefficients (r) ranged from 0.9981 to 1.0000. The LOQs of the 10 mycotoxins were between 0.15 and 8.6 μg·kg(-1). The average recoveries ranged from 73.8% to 107.0% with relative standard deviations (RSDs) of 0.10%-10.9%. The results demonstrated that the proposed method was sensitive and accurate, and suitable for the mycotoxins quantification in Panax notoginseng.

Objective To investigate the specific application of ergonomics for design of operation field in sanitary train. Methods The use of ergonomics theory, the layout of operation field, personnel operating capacity, environmental comfort and operation security were analyzed, surveyed and discussed. Results The principles and guidelines for design of opera- tion field in sanitary train were proposed in order to make full development the efficiency of "operator-equipment-environ- ment" mode. Conclusion The application of ergonomics for design of operation field in sanitary train can be improved the rationality of the layout of field of operation, environmental comfort and work efficiency.
