Objective To investigate the expression of guanylyl eyelasec(GC-C)mRNA in pefipheral blood of colorectal cancer patients and discuss its clinical significance. Methods To detect the GC-C mRNA in peripheral blood of colorectal cancer patients by reverse transcriptase PCR and analysis their clinical and pathological indexes. Results The positive rate of GC-C mRNA in 52 colorectal cancer patients was 50%(26/52),while to patients with extra-intestinal cancer, the positive rate was 0(0/8).There were significant difierences of positive rate of GC-C mRNA associated with tumor infiltration(P<0.05)and tumor embolus in vessel(P<0.05).While to CEA level in peripheral blood(P>0.05),but there were no statistical difference. The positive rate of micrometastasis in coloreetal cancer patients might increase using the GC-C mRNA combined with CEA level in peripheral bood. The positive rate of GC-C mRNA in colorectal cancer patients with Dukes A、B、C and D stages were 0(0/3),47.06%(8/17),52.38%(11/21),63.63%(7/11),The expression of GC-C mRNA increased with the clinical stage chang, there was no statistical difference. Conclusions GC-C expresses selectively in peripheral blood of colorectal cancer patients.Itis a valuable new tumor marker in micrometastasis diagnosis and post-operation follow-up of colorectal cancer, and it can also be used as the location determination of metastasis intestinal tumor.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 1999;0(10):-
Objective To describe the manifestations of the inferior phrenic arteries(IPA)supply to the pulmonary hemorrhagic lesions and to evaluate the safety and efficacy of transcatheter arterial embolization(TAE)of the IPA.Methods The clinical data and imaging findings of eighteen patients with the additional blood supply to the pulmonary hemorrhagic lesions from the IPA were evaluated retrospectively. The causes of the bleeding were lung malignancies in 9,bronchiectasis in 7,and chronic inflammation in 2 patients.TAE supplementally was performed in patients with IPA supply to the pulmonary lesions, using polyvinyl alcohol particles, gelatin sponge particles, and microcoils. Results Selective arteriogram demonstrates an enlarged IPA,with numerous branches and hypervascularity in all 18 cases, with tumor staining in 9,the contrast material extravasation in 6,and non-specific staining in 2 cases. In addition,IPA-to-pulmonary shunting was found in 9 cases. All the lesions supplying by IPA were adjacent to the pleurae, including adjacent to the diaphragmatic pleura in 11,the mediastinal pleura in 5,and the lateral pleura of the lower lobe in 2 cases.Technical success of IPA embolization was achieved in the 18 cases.Embolization of other nonbronchial systemic arteries(the internal thoracic artery in 7 and intercostal artery in 3)was performed at the same session. All bleeding ceased immediately after supplemental IPA embolization.Follow-up time ranged from 8 months to 4 years.Mild recurrent hemoptysis occurred in 3 patients at 1,2,6 months respectively, after the embolization. These patients were responsive to conservative management.Recurrent bleeding did not occur in 15 patients during the follow-up. Conclusion The pulmonary hemorrhagic lesions, especially adjacent to the diaphragmatic and mediastinal pleurae, can be supplied by IPA,and may result in clinical failure following BAE.Supplemental TAE of IPA is a safe and effective adjunct to BAE in the management of bronchial bleeding supplied by IPA.

OBJECTIVETo discuss the therapeutic effect of thenar perforator flaps for the narrow cicatricial contracture at thumb and the first web.
METHODSFrom Aug. 2010 to Jan. 2012, 9 cases with narrow cicatricial contracture at thumb and the first web, were treated. The defect size after releasing the contracture ranged from 8 mm x 20 mm to 15 cm x 30 mm. The bilateral thenar perforator flaps beside the wound were designed which size was 10 mm x 25 mm to 15 mm x 35 mm. The wounds at donor sites were closed directly.
RESULTSAll the 9 flaps survived completely with primary healing. The patients were followed up for 6-18 months. The flaps had soft texture and good appearance. The shape of flaps and function of the fingers were satisfied after 6-18 months of follow-up. There was no scar contracture at incisions in thenar. The thumb motion was really normal. The abduction of first web was 70 degrees - 90 degrees degrees.
CONCLUSIONSThe thenar perforator flaps is one of the ideal methods for the treatment of narrow cicatricial contracture at thumb and the first web. The main artery is not sacrified.
