Objective:To explore the strain experiences by suicides and to test the strain theory of suicide.Methods：A consecutive sample of 155 suicides(91 males and 64 females)aged from 15 to 34 years was studied with the psychological autopsy method.Informants consisted of family members and close friends of the suicides.Suicide stories were composed based on the background information of the suicides and what happened at the suicide site and then content-analyzed and rated by independent judges.Results:All of the victims had experienced at least one type of strain before suicide took place.The sequence of the 4 types of strains beginning with the most frequent one was coping strain,100%;aspiration strain,81%,deprivation strain,72% and value strain,45%.Generally,males experienced more coping strains,especially loss of money or investment than females [(8.85±3.64)vs.(7.72±3.77),(0.35±0.92)vs.(0.09±0.52);Ps<0.05],except for the traditionalism and modernity for status of women,religion and atheism [(0.08±0.37)vs.(0.53±0.97),(0.00±0.00)vs.(0.06±0.30);Ps<0.05].As age increased,value strain tended to increase(r= 0.16,P=0.048),whereas aspiration strain tended to decrease(r= -0.30,P<0.001).Conclusion：With the prevalence of dissonant stresses among suicide victims,it is suggested that crisis intervention and suicide prevention should begin with strain reduction through psychological counseling and therapy.

Objective To evaluate more than 5-year follow-up outcome of avulsion fracture of the anterior cruciate ligament from the tibial insertion site in skeletally immature patients treated with modified arthroscopic internal fixation with cannulated screw and washer. Methods Thirty-nine patients with open physis were treated by modified arthroscopic internal fixation with cannulated screw and washer from March 2000 to November 2003. Regular X-ray plain films at AP and lateral views were conducted to detect the healing of avulsed fragments. Follow-up period of 31 patients was more than 5 years. Functional outcome before and after surgery was evaluated using the Lysholm Knee Score and the Tegner Activity Score. Angular deformity, or leg length discrepancy was assessed by clinical examination and anteroposterior-lateral radiographs of the knee. Instrumented knee laxity was performed using the KT-2000 arthrometer. Results Arthroscopic removal of implants was performed between 3 and 6 months postoperatively, when all fractures were revealed to have healed on X-ray films. No growth disturbance, angular deformation or knee instability was found in 31 patients during more than 5-year follow-up. The Lysholm score was improved from (19.2?14.8) (range 12-48) preoperatively to (98.5?3.1) (range 97-100) postoperatively, with significant statistical difference by the student-t test (t=18.395, P=0.000); The Tegner score was improved from (4.1?1.1) (range 3-5) preoperatively to (8.5?0.8) (range 7-9) postoperatively, with significant statistical difference by the student-t test (t=4.13, P=0.008). Physical examination showed Lachman test (+) in 14 of 31 patients. Instrumented knee laxity (KT-2000) showed manual-maximum side-to-side difference greater than 2 mm (range 2.1-3.8 mm) in 14 of 31 patients. Conclusion Modified arthroscopic internal fixation of avulsion fracture of the anterior cruciate ligament from the tibial insertion site with cannulated screw and washer in skeletally immature patients is a simple, safe, and effective ARIF procedure without growth disturbance.

This research is for the purpose of comparative analysis of the microbial flora structure in the chilled beef with no packing and cling film, which under the same terms of sale. It was used the V3 area fragment of 16S rDNA to carry on PCR-DGGE, Meanwhile used the 16S rDNA sequence to analysis the microbial flora structure of the two samples, according to the technology of clone .The research discovered that the flora structure displays a biggish difference; there was 6 OTU in the chilled beef with cling film, mainly was that Lactococcus(28%), Lactobacillus (26%), Carnobacterium(18%) and Brochothrix (10%); but there was 18 OTU in the chilled beef with no packing, mainly was that Lactococcus(28%), Brchothrix(18%), Acinetobacter (11%). The result indicates that cling film played a certain inhibitory action regarding the Staphylococcus as well as the cold pole bacteria and such bacterium. And it can provide a certain theory ba-sis for the meat processing in the department of microorganism’s control.

It is used the method of pure culture,Selected 32 strains,which were obvious difference in the shape,color and so on common characteristic,From the chilled beef with no packing and cling film on sale in this research;and it was included 12 strains from the chilled beef sample packed with cling film;20 strains from the chilled beef sample with no packing.Simultaneously selected 4 strains which were predominant in each bacterium from the two samples to conduct the further research,8 strains serial numbers are:S01～S08,S01～S04 from the chilled beef sample with no packing;S05～S08 from the chilled beef sample packed with cling film.Through ARDRA(Amplified ribosomal DNA restriction analysis) as well as 16S rDNA to clarify the bacterium's classified status.The physiological and chemical tests were done to determine the various bacteria respective genus.The experiment indicated:S01 is Pseudomonas putida;S02 is Shewanella cincia stain;S03 and S05 are the same Shewanella putrefaciens;S04 is Stenotrophomonas mal-tophilia;S06 is Psychrobacter;S07 is Staphylococcus sciuri;S08 is Microbacterium-laevaniformans.It was proved that two samples altogether have the same predominant bacterium.It can provide certain theory basis for the chilled meat processing craft as the preliminary investigation in the cultured microorganism situation in two samples.

BACKGROUND: At present, osteoarthritis of knee is mainly treated with non-steroid drug in medication, but resulting in the side effects on gastrointestinal tract. The research indicates that bushen yiqi huoxue formula, with litter side effect, improves remarkably pain and motor function of patients with osteoarthritis of knee.OBJECTIVE: To probe into the effect of bushen yiqi huoxue formula on pathological process of the cartilage of knee joint by setting up ostoarthritis of knee in rabbt.DESIGN: Randomized controlled study by observation in which the experimental animals were taken as the objects.SETTING: Animal experimental center of a university.MATERIALS: Totally 36 New Zealand normal male rabbits, weighted varied from 2.0 to 3.0 kg.METHODS: The experiment was performed in Animal Experimental Center of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine from January 2002 to January 2003. Thirty-six New Zealand rabbits were involved to set up Hulth knee osteoarthritis model. After operation, they were randomized into 3 groups,named as model group, acetaminophen group and bushen yiqi huoxue formula group (formula group). Adopted corresponding managements in each group,the materials were collected at the 4th, 8th and 12th week after operation for histological pathological assess.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Primary results: integrals of pathological changes in cartilage of joint in every group. Secondary results: ①Naked-eye observation of cartilage of joint in every group. ② Optic microscopic observation of cartilage of joint in every group.RESULTS: The total integrals of pathological changes in cartilage of joint in model group, acetaminophen group and bushen yiqi huoxue formula grcup (formula group) at the 4th week were 18.50±1.00, 14.25±1.26,11.75±2.22 respectively, and 30.75±1.26, 22.00±3.16, 17.75±2. 21 at the 12th week respectively. The total integrals of pathological changes in cartilage of joint, in chondrocyte and in cartilage surface layer are in the sequence of model group ＞ acetaminophen group ＞ formula group successively. The significant or very significant differences present in the comparisons between groups.CONCLUSION: Bushen yiqi huoxue formula delays pathological progression of osteoarthritis of knee so that it can treat and prevent the disease.

OBJECTIVETo discuss the drug intervention in diversity changes of TCRVbeta gene in AIDS patients with incomplete immune reconstitution.

METHODPBMCs were isolated from 37 cases of AIDS patients failure to immune reconstitution before and after treatment with Immune 2 and 15 cases of HIV negative healthy donors. The human gene TCRVbeta CDR3 diversity quantitative detection reagent box were used, and mapped the distribution of gene scanning and calculated different CDR3 fragme of each Vbeta family size.

RESULT(1) Gaussian distribution of TCRVbeta families in patients with incomplete immune reconstitution after one year of HAART, had been broken with the occurrence of the offset TCR lineage. After six months of treatment of traditional Chinese medicine combined HAART, the TCR lineage has been partially restored. (2) Evaluated by the D (distance) value calculated by a quantitative analysis software which the kit provides, there were no significant difference in D value change between the two groups, but with traditional Chinese medicine can reduce the data variability. (3) CD4+ T cell counts had a significant correlation (r = -0.772, P = 0.000) with TCRVbeta genetic diversity.

CONCLUSIONStudy of the mechanism showed oligoclonal of TCRVbeta family can get recovery in some degrees after treated by Immune 2 plus HAART, suggesting that the medicine may promote T-cell receptor gene rearrangement, helping immune cells to effectively identify the virus to reduce T-cell apoptosis.

Objective: To study the effect of the sharp marginal ridge of the abutment on the casting of the fit metal full crown in dental preparation.Methods: We established the models of the designed crown-based-teeth(American Dental Association style,No2 trail) with a sharp or smooth marginal ridge,and cast a metal crown for each model.We injected silicone into the crown and immediately fixed it onto each model.Then we took out the solidified silicone and measured its thickness between the crown and the occlusal face of each model.The thinner the thickness,the better the fitness.Results: The average silicone thickness was 250 ?m in the smooth marginal ridge group and 1 660 ?m in the sharp marginal ridge group,with significant difference in between(P

Objective To compare and evaluate the usefulness of diagnostic tests of IFA with HEp-2 cell substrate and ELISA coated with purified nuclear antigens for ANA in SLE.Methods Sera derived from 226 SLE cases and 183 healthy controls were tested for ANA and all parameters were compared such as sensi- tivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value,negative predictive value,positive likelihood ratio,nega- tive likelihood ratio,result consistency,rank correlation coefficient and kappa of ANA detected by IFA and ELISA.Accuracy was evaluated by ROC for two methods.All 36 samples with different results from two meth- ods were detected for ENA.The correlation of titer to A ratio of different patterns as studied.Results The sensitivity of IFA and ELISA was 91.15% and 92.04% respectively for SLE patients,specificity was 96.17% and 92.90%,accuracy was 93.40% and 92.42%,positive predictive value was 96.71% and 94.12%,negative predictive value was 89.80% and 90.43%,no significant difference was found between the two methods (P＞0.05).No significant difference was found in accuracy of both methods by ROC (P=0.409).Good agreement was found between two methods with rank correlation coefficient (R=0.823) and kappa (k=0.825).All of 36 samples with different ANA results from two methods were detected for ENA.In 14 cases with IFA positive and ELISA negative,the titer of one case was up to 1:1000 and the pattern was Golgi by IFA,the titers of the rest were about cutoff level and the pattern were granular and nucleolus mostly.In 22 cases with IFA nega- tive and ELISA positive,11 cases of them had the A ratio ranged from 2.67～30.5.Positive rate of ENA was 14.29% in 14 cases with IFA positive and ELISA negative,68.18% in 22 eases with IFA negative and ELISA positive and the difference was significant (P＜0.01).Poor correlation of titer to A ratio for granular pattern samples (R=0.083),but good correlation for homogeneous pattern was found (R=0.595).Conclusion IFA as the recommended detecting method for ANA is intuitive and can provide more information by different pattem than ELISA but it needs fluorescence microscope and experienced technician.While ELISA is very simple and the concentration of ANA can be evaluated by A ratio value.ELISA can be a substitute method for ANA be- cause both IFA and ELISA have high sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,agreement rate,kappa and rank correla- tion coefficient.In addition,ELISA is more accessable for screen test because of low rate of false negative re- sult.Result of ELISA is more accurate if new and uncommon antigens are coated such as Golgi and nucleolus. The new work flow in which ELISA is used to screen out the positive ANA samples and IFA is used then to detect the nuclear pattern of ANA can save time,cost,and in turn improve work efficiency.

Objective To assess response of rectal carcinoma to preoperative chemoradiation therapy(CRT)using DWI and tumor ADC values,and to investigate the value of ADC in predicting and monitoring therapeutic effect of CRT.Methods Twenty-six patients with primary rectal carcinoma undergoing preoperative CRT were recruited to the study.DWI was performed on a 1.5 T MR scanner in all patients at the time point of pre-therapy,the end of the 1st,2nd week of therapy and pre-operation,respectively.ADC values of the tumors were calculated on the workstation.Randomized block design was applied to analyze change in ADCs following treatment Results All patients were divided into T-downstaging group(n=12)and T-non-downstaging group(n=14).In T-downstaging group,the mean tumor ADC values were(1.10±0.13)×10~(-3),(1.32±0.19)×10~(-3),(1.35±0.13)×10~(-3),(1.32±1.00)×10~(-3) mm~2/s at the time point of pretreatment,week 1,week 2,pre-operation,respectively(F=16.420,P＜0.01).The mean tumor ADC value in T-non-downstaging had a slight increase from(1.16±0.16)×10~(-3) mm~2/s to(1.23±0.13)×10~(-3) mm~2/s at the time of week 1(P＞0.05).The ADC value in T-non-downstaging group continuously increased to(1.30±0.16)×10~(-3) mm~2/s at the end of the 2nd week of CRT(F=5.023,P＜0.01)and appeared statistical difference.The evolution of tumor ADC values in the two groups was significantly different.Early increases in tumor ADC were observed in T-downstaging group.Regarding the increase percentage of ADC value at 1st week as a diagnostic marker of tumor downstaging,when it was set as 11.6%,the sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value and negative predictive value is 75.0%,78.6%,75.0% and 78.6% respectively,the area under curve(Az)was 0.774(95% confidence interval:0.583 to 0.964).Conclusions An early significant increase of mean tumor ADC value in rectal carcinoma has a potential to predict therapeutic effect of CRT.One week after beginning CRT is an early time point to monitor therapy efficacy.

Numerous epidemiological studies have studied the association of adiponectin (ADIPOQ) gene and adiponectin receptor (ADIPOR) gene polymorphisms with risk of colorectal cancer (CRC),but the outcomes were incomplete and inconsistent.Therefore,we conducted a meta-analysis to assess the associations systematically.All eligible case-control studies published up to Jan.2015 were searched from PubMed,the Cochrane library,Elsevier,Wiley Online library,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,WanFang data and Chongqing VIP.Effect sizes of odds ratio (OR) and 95％ confidence interval (95％CI) were calculated by using a fixed-or random-effect model.Twelve case-control studies including 6141 cases and 7398 controls were selected.Significant differences in the distributions of allele frequency with CRC risk were directly present in ADIPOQ variants rs2241766,rs1501299 and ADIPOR variant rs1342387.In stratified analysis for different populations,significant differences were present in ADIPOQ variant rs822396 for Ashkenazi Jewish,in ADIPOQ variant rs1501299 and ADIPOR variant rs1342387 for Chinese and in ADIPOQ variant rs 2241766 for Ashkenazi Jewish and Chinese.In addition,the factors correlated with insulin resistance had synergistic effect with ADIPOQ variants rs2241766 T/G and rs1501299 G/T on risk of CRC.ADIPOQ variants rs2241766 T/G,rs1501299 G/T and ADIPOR variant ADIPOR rs1342387 G/A had a population specific correlation with CRC risk,which may be mediated by insulin resistance.And large well-designed studies are still needed for further evaluation of rs822396 and rs1063538,especially for their interaction and combined effect in the correlation with CRC risk.
