Objective:To explore the relationship between marital satisfaction and character strengths in young people. Methods:An online survey was delivered to 307 married people (aged 2 1 -44 with years of mar-riage 0-20). Marital satisfaction was measured with the Evaluating and Nurturing Relationship Issues,Communica-tion,and Happiness (ENRICH,including intrapersonal, interpersonal, and external factors and marital satisfaction). Character strengths were measured with Values in Action Inventory of Strengths (VIA-IS,total 24 character strengths were classified into 4 high level character strength factors including heart-focus on self,heart-focus on oth-ers,mind-focus on self,mind-focus on others). Results:All 24 character strengths scores and 4 high level character strength factors scores were positively correlated with marital satisfaction score (r=0. 17 -0. 53,Ps<0. 01 ). Four high level character strength factors positively affected marital satisfaction through the mediation of 3 marital factors. Conclusion:The results indicate that the young people's marital satisfaction is closely related to their char-acter strengths, and character strengths affect marital satisfaction through 3 marital factors.

Microbiology 1992;0(01):-
There are many different opinions about the taxonomy of plant pathogenic coryneform bacteria since they were departed from genus of Corynebacteria. In recent years, they were classified into 5 genus, including Clav-ibacter, Curtobacterium, Arthrobacter, Rhodococcus and Rathayibacter. Some new points of view about their taxonomy have been published thereafter. The changing of taxonomy is maily because of the methods'altering from old to new molecular and polyphasic taxonomy, and the latter is in continuously development. Taxonomy of plant pathogenic coryneform bacteria somehow depends on the cooperation of phytopathologists, microbilogists and other scientists.

China Biotechnology 2006;0(02):-
To study the influence of foreign plasmid DNA on spleen metabolism in immune-stimulated mice via the gastrointestinal tract. Mice were oral administered by pipette with 200?g of plasmid pcDNA3 and spleen were isolated at 4h and 18h after oral administration. Total RNA were extracted from spleen and spleen gene expression profile of Balb/c mice was analyzed by using Affymetrix oligonucleotide genechip after oral plasmid pcDNA3 administration. Functional cluster analysis was conducted by Genmapp and MAPPFinder software. By functional cluster analyzing the genes which were up-regulated more than twofolds, Genmapp results showed that plenty of metabolic pathway were induced in spleen after oral administration of plasmid pcDNA3. These metabolic process included purine metabolism, pyrimidine metabolism, protein synthesis, cholesterol synthesis, fatty acid synthesis, Glycolysis, TCA cycle and mitochondria oxidative phosphorylation pathway. The similar results also took place at 18h after oral administration. The result indicated that foreign plasmid DNA can modulate metabolism process in spleen of mice via the gastrointestinal tract, and may help understand the mechanism of action of foreign plasmid DNA uptaked via the gastrointestinal tract.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2021;33(4):344-348
Objective:
To analyze the mortality trend of bladder cancer among residents in Qidong, Jiangsu Province from 1972 to 2016, so as to provide the basis for the prevention and treatment strategy of bladder cancer in Qidong.
Methods:
The data of bladder cancer was collected from Qidong Cancer Registry. The crude mortality rate ( CR ), age-standardized rate by Chinese population in 2000 (CASR) and world population in 1960 ( WASR ), truncated rate (35-64 years) and cumulative rate ( 0-74 years ) were calculated. The annual percent change ( APC ) was used to analyze the trend of mortality in bladder cancer.
Results:
During from 1972 to 2016, There were 1 497 deaths due to bladder cancer in Qidong from 1972 to 2016. The CR, CASR and WASR were 2.96/105, 1.83/105 and 1.80/105, respectively. The APCs in CR, CASR, WASR of bladder cancer were 5.29%, 1.86% and 1.81%, respectively ( P<0.05 ), showing upward trends. The truncated rate, cumulative rate and cumulative risk were 1.47/105, 0.17% and 0.17%, respectively. The CR, CASR and WASR in males were 4.71/105, 2.97/105 and 3.31/105, respectively, which was higher than that of 1.26/105, 0.75/105, and 0.66/105 in females ( P<0.05 ). The APC of CR, CASR and WASR in males were 5.71%, 1.96% and 2.17%, respectively ( P<0.05 ), all showed upward trends. For females, the APC of CR was 4.47% ( P<0.05 ), showing an upward trend, but there was no significant change in CASR and WASR ( P>0.05 ). The CR of bladder cancer was high among people aged more than 55 years. The CR in 55-64-year-old group, 65-74-year-old group and more than 75-year-old group showed upward trends, with APC of 4.50%, 2.22% and 4.51%, respectively ( P<0.05 ).
Conclusions
From 1972 to 2016, the mortality of bladder cancer in Qidong showed an upward trend, which was relatively high in men and people aged over 55 years.

Chinese Journal of Neuromedicine 2008;7(10):985-987
Objective To investigate the optimal concentration and site for ozoneadministration to relieve neuropathic pain in rats. Methods Twenty-four adult male rats with sciaticnerve injury (SNI) were randomized equally into 4 groups, and received ozone injections for analgesia atdifferent sites, namely the operative site, the sciatic nerve, the L5 spinal nerve or the operative site inaddition to the L5 spinal nerve. Another 4 groups of rats with SNI (n=6) had ozone injections at theconcentrations of 40, 50, 60, or 70 μg/mL, all administered at both the operative site and the L5 spinalnerve. The analgesic effects of the ozone injections were evaluated using paw withdrawal threshold test inall the rats. Results In rats with ozone injection at both the operative field and the L5 spinal nerve, themechanical pain threshold was significantly increased in comparison with that in rats with injections atother sites (P<0.05), but different doses of ozone simultaneously injected at the two sites did not producesignificant differences in the pain threshold (P>0.05). Conclusion Ozone produces obvious analgesiceffects in rats with SNI-induced neuropathic pain when injected at both the operative site and thespinal nerve, and ozone within the concentration range from 40 to 70 μg/mL has similar analgesic effect.

Journal of Zhejiang University. Medical sciences 2006;35(5):529-534
OBJECTIVETo explore the effects of pioglitazone on MKP-1 and TSP-1 expression in the early stages of diabetic retinopathy induced by streptozotocin (STZ) and the relevant mechanism in it.
METHODSDiabetic rats were induced by an intraperitoneal injection of STZ in SD rats. Thirty male SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups: diabetes adding pioglitazone group (intragastric administration pioglitazone 20 mg x kg(-1) x d(-1)), diabetes adding BBS group and normal control group. The body weight and blood glucose were measured every two weeks. Eight weeks later, all rats were killed and the expression of TSP-1 and MKP-1 mRNA was quantified in retinal tissue by immunohistochemistry and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) respectively.
RESULTTSP-1 and MKP-1 concentrations were significantly increased in the diabetic rats' retinal tissue compared to the control rats. Diabetes groups adding pioglitazone caused the upregulation of TSP-1 and MKP-1 expression in the retina among the three groups.
CONCLUSIONPioglitazone treatment can significantly attenuate the evolutionary in the early stages of experimental diabetic retinopathy. Further studies should address the possible involvement of TSP-1 and MKP-1 in the correlational pathophysiology between pioglitazone and diabetic retinopathy.
