Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(11):-
Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of sodium nilroprusside(SNP) with remifentanil or fentanyl used for controlled hypotension during the pediatric patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) operations. Methods Sixty children undergoing operation were randomly divided into SNP with fentanyl (A group) or remifentanil (B group). Hemodynamic changes in different times and adverse reactions were observed. Results In B group, heart rate was stable and blood pressure declined quickly. The dose of SNP was fewer and hemodynamic changes and recovery from anesthesia were better in B group than in A group. Conclusion Remifentanil could potentiate the hypotensive effect of SNP and decrease adverse reaction.

Objective To explore the relationship between vascular lesions and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo in the elderly. Methods 74 patients aged 60 years and over with benign paroxysmal positional vertigo in Huanhu Hospital and 80 subjects without vertigo history in the medical examination center of the same hospital were randomly divided into the case group and the control group, respectively. The carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) and plaque in the carotid artery were detected using high-resolution color duplex ultrasound for evaluating large vascular lesions. At the same time,T1WI,T2WI and diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) were performed with high-field 3.0 T MRI scanner as the detection index of small vascular lesions to compare the difference in severity of lacunar infarction, leukoaraiosis and micro hemorrhage between the two groups. Both indexes were used together to compare the overall difference in the intracranial and extracranial vascular lesions between the two groups. Results Between the case group and the control group, there were significant differences in the CIMT [(0.96±0.21) mm vs.(0.84±0.26) mm,t=3.136,P<0.05],the detection rate of plaque (89.2% vs.72.5%,x2 =5.803,P<0.05),the number of lacunar infarction [(3.48± 1.67) vs.(2.34± 2.06),t=1.994,P<0.05] and the score of white matter [(4.77±2.15) vs.(3.95±2.04),t=2.430,P<0.05].There was no significant difference in the positive detection rate of the cerebral microbleeds in the case group and control group (22.9% vs.17.5%,x2=0.4264,P>0.05).Conclusions There is a relationship between the benign paroxysmal positional vertigo and intracranial or extracranial vascular lesions in the elderly.Vascular factor may play an important role in the pathogenesis of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Not only the atherosclerosis of large and small arteries but also the microcirculation disturbance may be partly attributed to the benign paroxysmal positional vertigo in the elderly.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(06):-
Aim To investigate the effect of the GABAA receptor on the analgesia, hypnosis and amnesia induced by GABA in mice. Methods GABA was intracerebroventricularly(icv) injected and securinine,a GABAA receptor antagonist, was intravenously(iv) injected after the GABA intracerebroventricularly injection. Then four techniques including hot-plate test, acetic acid-induced writhing test, awaken test as well as step-through test & step-down test were employed to evaluate the effects on the pain index in hot-plate test(HPPI),the writhing times, the sleeping time(ST) and the latency & the number of errors. Results GABA increased the HPPI and ST,but decreased writhing times and the latency & increased the number of errors in conscious mice;the above effects are dose-dependent.Securinine could antagonize the effects stimulated by GABA.Conclusion GABA lead to analgesia, hypnosis and amnesia.GABAA receptor might be the important target for these effects.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the applications of percutaneous screw fixation for the treatment of pelvic fractures and its related surgical considerations.
METHODSFrom June 2010 to June 2012,19 patients with pelvic fractures were treated with percutaneous hollow screws. There were 13 males and 6 females, with an average age of 41 years (ranged from 22 to 58 years). Fractures were caused by traffic accidents in 11 cases, by falling down from high place in 8 cases. Based on the Tile classification, there were 15 cases of Tile C type and 4 case of Tile B type. The indexes such as screw inserting time, intraoperative blood loss, complications, functional recovery and reduction conditions were observed. Fixation methods included sacroiliac screws, cannulated screw fixation of the pubic ramus and cannulated screw fixation of the pubic symphysis separation.
RESULTSAnatomical reduction achieved in 7 cases, satisfactory reduction 11 cases, and unsatisfactory reduction 1 case. Union time of fracture union ranged from 8 to 12 weeks (mean 10 weeks). Wound infection, ununion of fracture and nerve injuries were not found. According to the Majeed standards, 12 patients obtained an excellent results, 6 good and 1 fair.
CONCLUSIONPercutaneous screw fixation for the treatment of pelvic fractures under fluoroscopy has several advantages such as less trauma, less blood loss, fewer rates of complications, reliable fixation and no blood transfusion, which can reconstruct the stability of the pelvic ring, but it needs adequate preoperative preparation and high requirements for the surgeon.

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica 2015;40(1):73-78
The aim of this study is to develop the Tripterygium glycosides nanoemulsion gels and investigate its pharmacodynamics. Oleic acid was used as oil phase, polyoxyethylene castor oil as surfaetant, and 1,2-propanediol as cosurfactant to screen the formula of Tripterygium glycoside nanoemulsion using the pseudo-temary phase diagrams. Then the nanoemulsion gels was prepared. The ICR mouse ears were sensitazated by 7% DNCB, and then were excited by 0.3% DNCB to stimulate the model of mouse chronic dermatitis and eczema. The concentrations of IFN-γ, IL-4 and IL-8 in mouse blood were determined by ELISA. The results showed that Tripterygium glycosides nanoemulsion gels could significantly inhibit the swelling of mouse ears(P < 0.01) and ameliorate the edama and erythema of model mouse ears skin. Also it could significantly decrease the expression of IFN-γ and IL-4 in model mouse blood. Tripterygium glycosides nanoemulsion gels had a good therapeutic effect on mouse model of dermatitis and eczema. It was expected to provide a new and long-acting exterernal preparation for the treatment of dermatitis and eczema.

Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2003;0(10):-
Objective The levels of Thl cytokines(IL-10 and IL-13)and Th2 cytokines(INF-? and TNF-?)were determined in the sera of patients with Schistosomiasis japonica in order to find the relationship between cytokines and severe hepatic fibrosis(HF)in schistosomiasis. Methods A total of 358 patients with advanced Schistosomiasis japonica were examined by ultrasound.68 HBsAg negative patients were chosen randomly as experimental control.Among them,39 patients were found to have mild HF and 29 were severe HF.The sera levels of Thl and Th2 cytokines were determined with ELISA.Results Among these 358 patients,83(23.2%)were HBsAg positive.Neither earlier nor severer hepatic fibrosis was noted in the patients who had been simultaneously infected with HBV than those only infected with schistosomiasis. There was a significant difference between mild[ 1.60(1.30-12.14)ng/L]and severe[ 4.20(1.43- 52.07)ng/L]HF patients in the level of IL-10(Z=-3.907,P0.05)was found in level of IFN-?,between severe[3.12(1.38-66.14)ng/L]and mild[5.87(1.33-216.33)ng/ L]HF subjects. Our observation did not reveal any obvious difference of TNF-? between severe[ 2.48(0.79 -19.86)ng/L]and mild[ 2.28(0.67-15.72)ng/L]HF groups. Conclusions Patients infected with advanced shistosomiasis may become more susceptible to HBV.The results of the present investigation showed that a high level production of IL-13 was associated with severe HF.
