1.Protective Effects of Quercetin on Daunorubicin-Induced Cardiomyocyte Injury
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(13):-
Objective To investigate the protective effects of quercetin on primary cultured SD neonate rats cardiomyocyte injury induced by daunorubicin. Methods Cultured cardiomyocytes were divided into blank groups,DNR groups,DNR+QUE groups,QUE groups. After preincubation of cardiomyocytes for 24 hours, cytoprotection effect was assessed by cell morphous, and cell apoptotic rates determined by flow cytometry, extracellular lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),superoxide dismutase(SOD) and malondialdehyde(MDA).Results Compared with DNR groups, the shedded cardiomyocytes and the cell debris of DNR+QUE groups decreased;the cardiomyocyte apoptosis rates decreased;the content of LDH and MDA decreased(P

Objective Observe the results and reality of the peripheral nerve stimulator in the obtu- rator nerve block in TURBt.Methods 18 cases received the peripheral nerve stimulator in obturator nerve block before TURBt.Results In 17cases obturator nerve reflection vanished;lcase had a little symptom of adductor spasm. Conclusion Obturator nerve block with the help of the nerve stimulator can increase the achievement and quality of obturator nerve block and avoid some complications caused by obturator nerve re- flection in TURBt,such as perforation of bladder and injury of nerve and vessel.

Objective:To explore a new way of nursing teaching round-making compatible with the nursing students at junior college, and to establish and improve the standards for its assessment. Methods:We performed a new mode of nursing teaching ward round jointly organized by nursing teachers of the school and clinical supervisors of the hospital among student nurses of Grade 2006 on four different subjects respectively,by going through the following four steps: establishing the subject, working out the plan, making the ward round and assessing the quality. Results:The average score on the quality assessment of the four subjects by teachers and students was 93.78.Conclusion:The new mode of nursing teaching ward round jointly organized by the school and hospital can make the best of nursing faculty resources, give full play to nursing students'potential and optimize this activity and facilitate the teaching of clinical nursing.

Objective To evaluate the response and toxicity of the chemo-radiotherapy assisted with Shenqi Fuzheng injection(SFI)in non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods 58 cases of NSCLC(from Jun.2004 to Dec.2006)were divided at random into two groups.30 cases(trial group)were given chemo-radiotherapy with Shenqi Fuzheng injection while another 28 cases(control group)only chemo-radiotherapy.The radiotherapy was carried out between two cycles of induction chemotherapy with NVB 25 mg/m2 d1,8,DDP 30 mg/m2 d1-3.The radiation dose was 60 Gy/30 f/6 W.Shenqi Fuzheng injection was used in 250 ml/d,for 21days as one cycle and after 7 day intervals, given another one cycle. The cycles of same regimen chemotherapy were given again after one week when the radiotherapy had been completed. Results Shortterm therapeutic effectiveness.the rates of complete remission and partial remission as well as the overall effective rates in patients of the trial group and control group were 16.7%,60.0%and 76.7%,and 10.7%,50.0%and 60.7%,respectively,the differences between two groups be not significant(P>0.05).The 0.5,1,2year survival rates in patients of the trial group and control group were 96.7%,65.2%,45.0%and 89.3%,48.0%,35.0%,respectively,the differences between two groups were not significant(P>0.05).Shenqi Fuzheng injection was shown to have changes in chemo-radiotherapy effects on clinical symptom, quality of life (QOL)and immune function and toxicity in the treatment of patients with NSCLC(P<0.05).Conclusion Shenqi Fuzheng injection is shown to have changes in ehemo-radiotherapy effects on clinical symptom,QOL and immune function and toxicity in the treatment of patients with NSCLC,but it could not increase survival rate of the patients.

Objective To investigate the abnormal situation and the characteristics of body mass index(BMI),blood pressure (BP),blood lipid(BL),and fasting plasma glucose(FPG) in residents of Chongqing. Methods Data of BMI,BP,BL and FPG were obtained from 16 367 residents receiving regular health examination in our Hospital in 2006.Results These metabolic indicators of this group were abnormal:The detection rate was 33.2%(42.5% in male and 17.6% in female)for overweight;7.4%(9.7% in male and 3.5% in female) for obesity;25.4%(30.0% in male and 17.6% in female) for hypertension;,38.9%(41% in male and 35.5% in female) for total cholesterol;26.1%( 34% in male and 12.8% in female) for triglyceride;23.7%(26.8% in male and 18.6% in female) for low-density lipoprotein;8.2%(11.8% in male and 2.2% in female) for high-density lipoprotein;3.2%(3.8% in male and 2.2% in female) for impaired fasting glucose;and 3.2%(3.9% in male and 2.0% in female) for diabetes meUitus. The detection rate of these metabolic disorders was significantly higher in men than those in women, and increased with age, which was significantly higher in people aged 30-40 years than in people aged less than 30 years. Conclusion The levels of BMI,BP,BL and FPG of health examination residents in Chongqing had its unique characteristics, and were abnormal significantly,it was very important to take regularly health examination after 30 yrs old.
