Currently, the basic network resource of the entire traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) industry is fragmented. Issues of data unify are not easily resolved. It seems that there is no new breakthrough in key technologies, especially on the problem of data sharing and resources' integration. In this context, a method of medical information data sharing is advocated to solve the problem. We use the RESTful style to define resources of the pharmaceutical industry, which is based on the UDDI Web services standards. The objective of this paper is to create a method of TCM resource URL defined and exchanged. Finally, this paper provided an easy way for TCM data network sharing.

AIMTo search for flavonoids which possess stronger vasorelaxation action.

METHODSFour quercetin glycosides (1a - d) were synthesized from quercetin in three steps i. e. selective protection of quercetin, condensation with corresponding acetyiglycosyl bromide, and then removal of the protecting group; Six flavone compounds (2a - f) were prepared from phloroglucinol according to the conventional methods; The structures of synthetic compounds were confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and MS. Vasorelaxation action of ten synthetic quercetin derivatives (or analogues) and four natural flavonoids compounds were examined on the isolated rat thoracic aorta rings; Comparative octanol-water partition coefficients (logP) were measured using a reversed-phase HPLC method.

RESULTSMost of the tested flavonoids showed concentration dependent relaxation effects against PE-induced contractions of rat aortic rings. These compounds had stronger action with the augment of logP values.

CONCLUSIONCompound 3-bromo-5 ,7-dihydroxyflavone (2d) was identified to have the most potent vasodilating action. These compounds exert vasodilating effects that are related to the logP values. A structure-activity relationship of flavonoids was suggested.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the therapeutic efficacy of bone-setting manipulative reduction and small splint fixation combined with micro-movement theory exercise for treatment of humeral shaft fractures.

METHODSFrom March 2011 to February 2014, 64 cases of humeral shaft fractures were treated by bone-setting manipulative reduction and small splint fixation including 28 males and 36 females with an average age of 38.1 years old ranging from 22 to 67 years old. According to the classification of AO/OTA, there were 10 cases of type A1, 12 cases of type A2,11 cases of type A3,10 cases of type B1,12 cases of type B2, 7 cases of type B3, 2 cases of type C1, 1 case of type C2, 1 case of type C3. After close reduction early functional exercise performed according to micro-movement theory. All patients had no other parts of the fractures, neurovascular injury, and serious medical problems. Patients were followed up for fracture healing, shoulder and elbow joint function recovery, and curative effect.

RESULTSAll patients were followed up from 10 to 12 months with an average of 10.3 months. Of them, 2 cases had a small amount of callus growth at 3 months after close reduction, so instead of operation; 2 cases appeared radial nerve symptoms after close reduction ,so instead of operation. Other patients were osseous healing, the time was 8 to 12 weeks with an average of 10.2 weeks. After osseous healing, according to Constant-Murley score system ,the average score was (93.5 ± 3.2) points, the result was excellent in 29 cases, good in 29 cases, fair in 6 cases, excellent and good rate was 90.3%; according to the Mayo score system, the average score was (93.7 ± 4.2) points, the result was excellent in 35 cases, good in 23 cases, fair in 6 cases, excellent and good rate was 91.9%.

CONCLUSIONBone-setting manipulative reduction and small splint fixation combined with micromovement theory exercise for treatment of humeral shaft fractures has advantage of positive effect, easy and inexpensive method, the treatment has relevant scientific basis and practical value, it can effectively reduce complications, promote patients early recovery.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the transgenerational effects of a hypothala mic-pituitary-ad-renal (HPA)axis -associated neuroendocrine metabolic progra mming alteration fro m F1 to adult second generation (F2)with prenatal ethanol ingestion.METHODS Pregnant Wistar rats were ad ministered with ethanol (4 mg·kg -1·d -1 )fro m gestational day 1 1 until delivery.F1 rats were fed a high-fat diet fro m postnatal week 4 (PW4)and were cross-mated in PW 16 -20.F2 rats were fed a standard diet fro m PW4 and rectal te mperature was measured in PW20,oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT)was con-ducted in PW21 ,blood sa mples and hypothala mus were collected in PW24 to investigate seru m lipids and HPA axis activity.RESULTS Co mparing to the F2 control group ,rectal te mperature in F2 ethanol group were higher (P<0.01 ),sugar tolerance in F2 male group was i mpaired (P<0.05),seru m corti-costerone and hypothala mus arginine vasopressin (AVP) mRNA were increased (P <0.05);seru m insulin were decreased (P<0.05)and male rats showed i mpaired glucose tolerance (P<0.05);seru m high-density lipoproteincholesterol (HDL-C)decrease (P <0.05)and total cholesterol (TCH)/HDL-C and low density lipoproteincholesterol (LDL-C)/HDL-C ratios were markedly increased (P <0.05,P <0.01 ).CONCLUSION Prenatal ethanol exposure induced metabolic syndro me has transgenerational effects,which may originate fro m the intrauterine progra mming of altered HPA axis-associated neuroen-docrine metabolis m.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the clinical outcomes of cannulated screw combined with buttress plate in treating transarticular shear fractures of the distal humerus.

METHODSFrom July 2008 to December 2011, 17 patients with shear fractures of the distal humerus were treated with cannulated screw combined with buttress plate. Among them, included 10 males and 7 females aged from 20 to 59 years old (mean 36.5). All the fractures were classified into type I (8 cases), type II (1 case), type III (3 cases) and type IV (5 cases) according to Bryan-Morrey and McKee classification. According to AO/ASIF classification, 10 cases were type 13B3.1, 7 cases were type 13B3.3; according to Dubberley classification, 5 cases with type 1A, 2 cases with type 1B, 2 cases with type 2A, 2 cases with type 2B, 4 cases with type 3A, 2 cases with type 3B. There were 12 cases with fresh injuries, 4 cases with old injuries. All fractures were closed injuries. Complications and range of motion of elbow were observed, and clinical efficacy were evaluated by Broberg-Morrey standard.

RESULTSAll patients were followed up with a mean time of 21.3 months (ranged, 18 to 24). All fractures obtained bone healing from 10 to 15 weeks with a mean of 12.5 weeks. No malunion or delayed healing occurred. Two cases occurred ossification in lateral collateral ligament attachment. 2 cases occurred heterotopic ossification in the capitellum in front of capsule joint. The range of elbow extension was (16 +/- 7) degrees, flexion was (115 +/- 9) degrees, the average are of pronation and supination was (65 +/- 5) degrees and (60 +/- 5) degrees respectively. According to Broberg-Morrey standard, there were excellent in 7 cases, good in 8 cases, fair in 2 cases, and average score was 92.44 +/- 4.64.

CONCLUSIONFor transarticular shear fractures of the distal humerus, classification should be performed according to preoperative X-ray and CT, cannulated screw and buttress plate combined and early function rehabilitation could recover elbow function.

Objective To research the clinical application of split dorsal pedal flap for the repair of round-like soft tissue defect. Methods Design a long-strip dorsal pedal flap with slightly larger area than cutaneous deficiency,cut off the flap to the layer of superficial fascia along the suitable line degined in the middle of flap,and then rotate and reshape the split flap to resemble recipient area,and cover the wound surface based on pedical flap or free grafting;Meanwhile,donor area in dorsum of foot can be sutured directly.Results All the 5 cases of flap were survived,including one case which was free grafted and the others which were rotated locally, as well,donor area in dorsum of foot was satisfied because the cutting edge could be sutured directly. Conclusion It is a laudable modus operandi on account of beautiful outlook of both recipient and donor area.

Objective To study the characteristics of heterotopic heart transplantation by echocardiographyand evaluate the heart function and acute rejection.Methods Five male 49-61 years old patients with heterotopic heart transplantation were studied using echocardiography pre-,intra-,post～operation and at follow-up.The anastomoses of great vessels of recipient with donor heart,chamber size,left ventricular wall thickness with wallmotion.left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),valvular function,pulmonary artery pressure,pericardial and pleural effusion were observed.Results All patients were end-stage coronary artery disease with NYHA class of received heterotopic heart transplantation with coronary artery bypass grafting.Some patients received mitral valvuloplasty,ventricular aneurysmectomy and stem cell transplantation simultaneously.During the operation,intra-operation transesophageal echocardiography was used to monitor and evaluate the surgical procedure with chamber sizes,anastomoses,native with donor heart ventricular and valvular function,and air bubble in chambers.The cardiac functions of donor heart backed to normal post operation,while the functions of recipient heart were increased gradually.All patients survived in 6 months and one year follow-up,with significantly improved functions of heart in situ[LVEF(44.0±15.6)%].The main reject reaction was small pericardial perfusion and pleural effusion.Conclusions Heterotopic heart transplantation has distinctive characteristics with echocardiography study,which is also an important technique in evaluation at pre-,intra-,post-operation and also at follow-up.

Objective To investigate the correlation of Bax and apoptosis in enterocytes of neonatal rats with necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC).Methods Forty-eight neonatal rats (1 day) were randomly divided into control group (n =24) and NEC model group (n =24) by use of odd and even.The rats in control group were maternal breast-fed.The rats in NEC model group were separated from their mothers.To be given formula feeding,cold exposure after hypoxic-reoxygenation treatment.The intestinal tissue located at the boundary of ileum and caecum of two groups were gained on the 24 h,48 h and 72 h with which that all rats were sacrificed by cutting neck.Section of intestinal tissue were stained with immunohistochemistry to detect the expression of Bax and were stained with TdT mediated dUTP nick end labeling(TUNEL) to evaluate the apoptosis in each group.Results The integrate optical density (IOD) value of expression of Bax in the NEC model group began to increase on the 24 h [(1 005.06-± 11.96) IOD] and reached the summit on the 72 h [(3 340.66 ±68.72)] compared with the control group[(666.55 ± 15.77)IOD].A few of TUNEL positive cells began to increase with time dependence.A lot of TUNEL positive cells could be found in NEC model group on the 24 h [(15.04 ± 0.24) ％],and the apoptotic index reached the peak on the 72 h [(35.65 ±0.61) ％] compared with the control group[(4.73 ±0.04) ％,P ＜0.01]-There was a significantly positive correlation between the cell apoptosis and the ratio change of Bax in NEC model group (r =0.94,P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion There is a significantly positive correlation between the cell apoptosis and the ratio change of Bax in enterocytes of neonatal rats with NEC.The cell apoptosis in enterocytes of neonatal rats with NEC maybe be induced by Bax.

Theacrine is one kind of natural purine alkaloids, which mainly exists in an unusual Chinese tea known as Kucha. It shows various biological activities, such as anti-depression, sedative and hypnotic effects and anti-inflammatory and analgesic activi-ties. The study on theacrine dates back to a few decades ago. According to the references published in recent years, the resource, preparation, characterization and pharmacological effects of theacrine were reviewed, and its application prospect was also explored.
