With the surge of high-throughput sequencing technology, it is becoming popular to perform the phylogenetic study based on genomic data. A bundle of new terms is emerging, such as phylogenomics, pharmacophylogenomics and phylotranscriptomics, which are somewhat overlapping with pharmaphylogeny. Phylogenomics is the crossing of evolutionary biology and genomics, in which genome data are utilized for evolutionary reconstructions. Pharmaphylogeny, advocated by Prof. Pei-gen Xiao since 1980s, focuses on the phylogenetic relationship of medicinal plants and is thus nurtured by molecular phylogeny, chemotaxonomy and bioactivity studies. Phylogenomics can be integrated into the flow chart of drug discovery and development, and extend the field of pharmaphylogeny at the omic level, thus the concept of pharmacophylogenomics could be redefined. This review gives a brief analysis of the association and the distinguished feature of the pharmaphylogeny related terms, in the context of plant-based drug discovery and sustainable utilization of pharmaceutical resource.

Chinese Journal of Traumatology 2004;7(6):378-379
OBJECTIVETo evaluate the result of diagnosis and treatment of intracranial hematoma and multiple injuries caused by road traffic accidents.
METHODSTwenty-eight patients, aged from 1 to 14 years, receiving craniotomy and other surgical treatments were retrospectively reviewed.
RESULTSAmong the 28 cases, 23 cured with the recovery rate of 82.3%, 2 had a sequel of moderate disability, and 3 died from severe brain injury, hemorrhagic shock, and other visceral complications. The clinical symptoms and signs were severe and perplexing. The major characters included: severe head injury, usually combined by multiple injuries, and easy of access to missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis.
CONCLUSIONSThe occurrence of infection is high after traffic accidents as a result of depression of humoral and cellular immunity, long-term bed rest, and fractures of limbs. Hence, on the basis of maintaining vital signs, the management of primary wound is essential to reduce infection and underlying death. In addition to the management of brain injury, concurrent injuries should also be highlighted so as to reach a good result for their patients.

Background Hyaluronic acid is a mucopolysaccharide existing in extracellular matrix and having good biocompatibility.Using chemical crosslinking method can improve the physical properties of the material,so cross-linked hyaluronic has potential clinical application value. Objective The present study was to evaluate the histocompatibility and biological security of cross-linked hyaluronic acid as ophthalmic implant material. Methods Cross-linked hyaluronic acid implant material was prepared according to the criteria of Biological Evaluation of Medical Devices (GB/T16886.5-2003).Eighteen 8-week-old male New Zealand white rabbits were randomized into the experimental group and the control group.Cross-linked hyaluronic acid material with 5.0 mm diameter was implanted into corneal stroma interlaminationally in the experimental group, and only corneal stromal interlaminational pocket was made without any implanting material in the control group.Biological response of cornea was assessed in vivo from 1 week through 3 months after operation by slit lamp microscope. The corneas were obtained 2 weeks,1 month and 3 months respectively for histopathological examination.Mouse embryonic fibroblasts were cultured in cross-linked hyaluronic acid film plate, medical silicone material culture plate and regular culture plate respectively for 24 hours, and the cell growth state and morphology were observed under the inverted microscope and scan electron microscope.MTT assay was used to test the relative growth rate of the cultured cells 48 hours after cultured using extracted liquid of hyaluronic acid implant material. Results Cross-linked hyaluronic acid implant material showed a well healing to the corneas of rabbits during the observation duration, without obvious inflammatory response and neovascularization. The arrangement of stromal fibers was uniform in order, and no infiltration of inflammatory cells was seen under the light microscope. The cells grew well after cultured with cross-linked hyaluronic acid film and regular medium for 24 hours, but in the silicone culture group, fewer of adherent cells and more floating cells were found. The relative growth rate of the cells was 87.50% 48 hours after cultured with extracted liquid of hyaluronic acid implant material. Conclusions The cross-linked hyaluronic acid material has good histocompatibility and biological security in rabbit cornea tissue.

Objective To investigate the incidence of radioactivity uptake in thymus combined with serum thyroglobulin (Tg) increase in differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) patients after high-dose 131I treatments,in order to discuss the mechanism of thymus iodine uptaking and Tg increasing. Methods Retrospective analysis of the laboratory examinations and 131Iwhole body scan (131I-WBS) images in 316 DTC patients were performed. The radioactivity uptake in thymus and the Tg level were observed. Results Among 316 patients (total 735 case-times),4 patients of 5 cases-times 131I-WBS showed radioactivity uptake in thymus, accounting for 0.68% (5/735).All the radioactivity uptake in thymus were found by posttreatment 131I whole body scan (Rx-WBS) and after the second radioactive iodine treatment. For 1 of 4 patients,Rx-WBS still showed thymic uptake 131I after the third radioactive iodine treatment. The serum Tg increased in 3 patients (4 caestimes Rx-WBS) of radioactivity uptake in thymus with the Tg level before Rx-WBS was 13.80 μg/L,>300.00 μg/L,16.40 μg/L,20.60μg/L,respectively.Conclusion In order to avoid the inappropriate administration of radioiodine therapy, thymic uptake should be identified carefully in DTC patients whose radioactivity uptake is only found at the upper mediastinal and combined with serum Tg increase.

Objective: To explore the clinical and anatomical characteristics of coronary slow lfow (CSF) in relevant patients.
Methods: We summarized the patients without coronary angiography (CAG) proved coronary stenosis (stenosis < 40%) while with TIMI indicated CSF in our hospital from 2013-01 to 2015-01. The patients were divided into 2 groups: CSF group, n=56 patients having at least 1 major coronary artery with TIMI frame counts > 27 and Control group,n=55 patients with normal coronary lfow. The related laboratory indexes were examined and relationship between MCV and CSF was studied by multi-logistic regression analysis.
Results: In CSF group, MCV 90.4 (87.48, 92.65) fL and RDW-CV 12.5 (12.30, 13.18) % were lower than those in Control group 92.3 (90.1, 94.3) fL and 13(12.7, 13.4) %,P<0.05; while MCHC 337 (332, 347) g/L and the number of left circumlfex distal braches involved 3 (2, 4) were higher than those in Control group 327.5 (322, 338) g/L and 2 (2, 3),P<0.05. Multi-logistic regression analysis showed that MCV was negatively related to CSF (partial regression coefficient= -0.138, P=0.015), Spearman rank correlation analysis presented that MCV was negatively related to TIMI frame counts (r= -0.201, P=0.009).
Conclusion: Deformability of red blood cells might be involved in pathogenesis of CSF in relevant patients.
