Currently, the basic network resource of the entire traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) industry is fragmented. Issues of data unify are not easily resolved. It seems that there is no new breakthrough in key technologies, especially on the problem of data sharing and resources' integration. In this context, a method of medical information data sharing is advocated to solve the problem. We use the RESTful style to define resources of the pharmaceutical industry, which is based on the UDDI Web services standards. The objective of this paper is to create a method of TCM resource URL defined and exchanged. Finally, this paper provided an easy way for TCM data network sharing.

The macroscopic characteristics, tissue, caterpillar body wall and powder of Ophiocordyceps xuefengensis in different batch numbers were observed and researched by the macroscopic and microscopic identification methods. The result shows that the morphology, size, abdominal annulations of caterpillar, etc. of 0. xuefengensis are the macroscopic identification characteristics, the caterpillar body surface mycelium, body wall sculpture and crochets on abdominal legs are the microscopic identification characteristics. These characters are stable and regular discriminant features, which are proved to be the identification basis of O. xuefengensis. In addition, The characters such as crochets on abdominal legs arrange in two parallel ellipse rings, the inner crochets are long strip, and the external toes are unciform, are specific.

Annals of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore 2007;36(12):1013-1020
INTRODUCTIONThe purpose of the study was to examine the determinants of self-reported disability - MODQ (Modified Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability Questionnaire) in patients with low back pain (LBP); and to examine the level of FABQ (Fear-Avoidance Belief Questionnaires) scores in an ambulatory clinical population referred to physiotherapy management. We believe that identifying potentially modifiable determinants of disability in patients with LBP provides an opportunity to broaden the strategies to reduce its socioeconomic burden.
MATERIALS AND METHODSA retrospective study was designed to be conducted in the physiotherapy department of a local hospital. The data were taken from standard examination of patients [n = 162, female 15.4%, male 84.6%, age mean = 30.6 years [standard deviation (SD), 11.4; range, 17 to 68)] presenting to the department with acute or chronic LBP. The data included physical examination of back, self-reported disability by MODQ, fear-avoidance beliefs by FABQ, pain intensity and demographic information.
RESULTSThe final model generated by hierarchical regression analysis revealed that MODQ scores included self-reported symptom aggravation with all movements, pain medication usage, average straight leg raise (SLR), pain intensity, and Fear-Avoidance Belief Questionnaire-Work (FABQ-W). Overall, these variables account for approximately 40% of variance. The mediational analysis indicated that the relationship between the FABQ-W and MODQ scores may be partially mediated by pain intensity, average SLR values and pain medication usage.
CONCLUSIONIn this correlational study of physical impairments, psychosocial factors and self-reported disability, disability was driven primarily by measures of pain and fear-avoidance beliefs. Because the FABQ is a simple and useful clinical tool, we suggest that physicians and physiotherapists alike should make it a routine attempt to characterise the fear-avoidance beliefs of patients with LBP.

To study the name of Wenyujin Rhizoma Concisum and Film Turmeric by literature research methods provide the basis for correct application of Cuba in modern clinical application. Wenyujin Rhizoma Concisum and Film Turmeric often called each other mutual generation and used as the same kind of medicine in the ancient prescriptions books. They were often recorded and stated as the same species of Curcumae Longae Rhizoma. Wenyujin Rhizoma Concisum and Curcumae Longae Rhizoma also often called each other mutual generation in the ancient prescriptions books and used as the same kind of medicine. Wenyujin Rhizoma Concisum was often recorded and stated under the Curcumae Longae Rhizoma articles in the ancient materia medica literatures. Ancient literatures on Wenyujin Rhizoma Concisum records were almost the same, the modern literatures on the records of the sources of Wenyujin Rhizoma Concisum were inconsistency. Inconsistency of Wenyujin Rhizoma Concisum source records in modern literatures was related to the changes of the modern records on source records about Curcumae Longae Rhizoma, Root-tuber of Aromatic Curcumae Longae Rhizoma and Zedoray. The author thinks that Wenyujin Rhizoma Concisum is the ancient Film Turmeric which referes to the same medicine as Curcumae Longae Rhizoma. The source of it just as the Curcumae Longae Rhizoma is not only one kind. Wenyujin Rhizoma Concisum and Curcumae Longae Rhizoma have been recorded as two medicines at the present, and the source of them simply referes to the original plant Curcuma wenyujin. When using ancient prescriptions, we need to understand the changes that Curcumae Longae Rhizoma and Wenyujin Rhizoma Concisum are the same in ancient but different today in order to choose medicine correctly in the clinical.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2005;25(3):164-166
OBJECTIVETo search for a convenient and effective needling method for treatment of hiccup.
METHODSNinety-four cases were randomly divided into treatment group treated by acupuncture at Tianding (LI 17) and a control group treated by selected routine acupoints, 47 cases in each group. They were respectively treated based on differentiation of symptoms and signs for less than 10 sessions, and their therapeutic effects were compared.
RESULTSThe therapeutic effects on primary excess syndrome of intractable hiccup in the two groups were superior to that secondary deficiency syndrome (both P < 0.05); there was no significant difference between the two groups in the therapeutic effect (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONAcupuncture at Tianding (LI 17) is a convenient method for hiccup with a definite therapeutic effect.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2010;30(6):469-472
OBJECTIVETo observe the clinical efficacy on tic disorders (TD) treated with local acupuncture.
METHODSThe entire data of 196 cases, of which, 114 cases in acupuncture group were treated mainly with local acupuncture and 82 cases in western medication group were taken Tiapride tablets orally. YGTSS method was adopted for scoring and assessing the clinical efficacy.
RESULTSThe apparent improvement was achieved in YGTSS motor tic score in two groups. The markedly effective rates were 90.4% and 84.2% in acupuncture group and western medication group, respectively (P < 0.05), without significant difference in statistics. The effective rates of transient tic disorder (TTD) in acupuncture group and western medication group were 100.0% and 83.3%, respectively (P < 0.05), which indicated that the efficacy of acupuncture on TTD was advantageous to medical therapy. The effective rates of three kinds of TD in acupuncture group were 100.0%, 88.2% and 84.2% separately, of which, the efficacy of acupuncture on TTD was advantageous as compared with that on chronic tic disorder (CTD) and Toureett's syndrome (TS) (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe overall efficacy on TD is similar between acupuncture and medical therapy, but the clinical efficacy of acupuncture on TTD is superior to medical therapy. Meanwhile, the efficacy of acupuncture on TTD is advantageous to that on CTD and TS. Hence, the intervention at early time can achieve satisfactory efficacy and probably prevent from CTD or TS.
