OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for reasonable and safe use of drugs in children. METHODS:580 prescription drug instructions of chemical drugs and chemical product for treatment were collected from our hospital. Children information stated in drug instruction of exclusive drugs for children and special drugs, and in dosage and usage, clinical trial, pharmacokinetics and other items were all analyzed statistically ratio analysis and sequence analysis. RESULTS:The exclusive drugs for children were few,and major dosage form were injection. The instruction of special drugs were lack of children’s information. Usage and dosage based on monotonous evidence. The pharmacokinetic parameters were incomplete, and there were slender amount of data about chil-dren clinical trials. CONCLUSIONS:The drug instruction of drugs for children are looking blue. It is urgent to standard drug in-struction and complete medication information for children,so as to ensure safe and effective of drug use.

BackgroundThe study of the molecular mechanism of visual plasticity is helpful for the explaining and prevention of strabismus and amblyopia. The effect and significance of NogoA in the strabismus and amblyopia formation are attracting more attention.ObjectiveThe present study was to investigate the expression of NogoA in 21a area of visual cortex in strabismic-induced amblyopia cats and explore the possible molecular mechanism of strabismic-induced amblyopia.MethodsSixteen 4-week old clean cats were randomizedly divided into normal group and strabismic-induced amblyopia group and eight for each group. The strabismic-induced amblyopia models were created by cutting off the external rectus in 8 cats.Pattern visual evoked potentials ( P-VEP ) were recorded 1 week after operation and compared with normal cats, and depression of amplitude and prolongation of implied time of P100 wave were as the successful criterion of model. The 200 ml paraformaldehyde was infused via heart to fax the brain under the deep anesthesia and then the cats were sacrificed and the brain cortex sections were prepared. The morphology of 21a zone of cat visual cortex was examined by haematoxylin and eosin staining, and the expressions of NogoA in 21a area of visual cortex were detected by immunohistochemistry with a monoclonal antiNogoA antibody. The use of the animals complied with the Regulations for the Administration of Affair Concerning Experimental Animals by State Science and Technology Commission.ResultsThe implied time and amplitude ratio of VEP P100 wave were (98.10±7.07)ms and (0.83±0.14) in normal group, and those in strabismic-induced amblyopia group were (108.50±6.95 )ms and (0.35 ±0.09 ),showing significant differences between two groups (t=4.450,P=0.005 ; t =5.970,P =0.005 ).The numbers of neurons were similar in 21a area of visual cortex between the two groups, but the volume of the neurons was lessen in strabismic-induced amblyopia group. The positive cell densities for NogoA were ( 387.37±2.01 ) cells/mm2,( 354.58± 1.85 ) cells/mm2 and ( 289.68± 1.81 ) cells/mm2 in layer Ⅱ/Ⅲ,Ⅳ and V/V[ respectively in strabismic-induced amblyopia group, and those in normal group were ( 161.39± 1.98 ) cells/mm2,( 128.93 ± 1.26 ) cells/mm2 and ( 96.25 ± 1.49 ) cells/mm2,indicating a significant increase in model cats ( t =- 160.400,- 201.890,- 164.740,P =0.000 ).Conclusions NogoA may play an important role in the regulation of the sensitive developmental period of visual sense and its plasticity.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of oxymatrine (Oxy) on arrhythmia and heart rate variability (HRV) in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) by Holter electrocardiogram and HRV indexes.
METHODSOne hundred and ten patients with CHD and frequent arrhythmia were randomly divided into the Oxy group and the propafenone group, 55 cases in each group. Changes of general conditions, 48 hrs Holter electrocardiogram, frequency of premature beats, P-R interval, R-R interval and 24 hrs HRV index in patients before and after treatment were evaluated.
RESULTSThe amount of both atrial and ventricular premature beats decreased markedly in both groups (P < 0.01). Propafenone showed better effect in reducing atrial premature beats than that of Oxy (P < 0.05), while the two had similar effect on ventricular premature beats (P > 0.05). HRV was elevated in both groups after treatment (P < 0.01), but the effect of Oxy was superior to that of propafenone after treatment (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONOxymatrine could significantly improve HRV, and shows obvious effects on atrial and ventricular arrhythmia in patients with CHD.

Pharmaceutical market is a typical market with information asymmetry, and which can lead to "lemons" problem. In all developed countries, firms must receive regulatory approval to market a pharmaceutical product. Such administrative department including SFDA, EMA, FDA and so on. Chinese materia medica is a special part of pharmaceutical market in China. The management of Chinese materia medica is a special challenge in China.

To reveals the effects of tree species on polysaccharides content of epiphytic Dendrobium officinale. The polysaccharides content of D. officinale attached to living tress in wild or stumps in bionic-facility was determined by phenol-sulfuric acid method. There were extremely significant differences of polysaccharides content of D. officinale attached to different tree species, but the differences had no relationship with the form and nutrition of barks. The polysaccharides content of D. officinale mainly affected by the light intensity of environment, so reasonable illumination favored the accumulation of polysaccharides. Various polysaccharides content of D. officinal from different attached trees is due to the difference of light regulation, but not the form and nutrition of barks.

AIM To study the pharmacokinetics of AZT in mice by encapsulation in liposomes Containing galactosylceramide (GalCer). METHODS AZT was encapsulated in liposomes containing GalCer and the pharmacokinetics of AZT-GalCer and free AZT were observed in mice. RESULTS Higher concentration of AZT in mice injected AZT-GalCer was found in plasma after 30 min and it was ten times as high as in mice injected with AZT. On the other hand, Ke decreased significantly from 0.037 to 0.021 h -1 , T_ 1/2 Ke increased significantly from 19 min to 35 min, and AUC was 2.77 times as high as in mice injected with AZT. CONCLUSIONS AZT-GalCer serving as a dilivery carrier could prolong the effective concentration of AZT in plasma. AZT-GalCer might have great therapeutic potential for treating AIDS.-

AIM To establish a RP HPLC method for the determination of zidovudine(AZT) plasma concentration. METHODS A shim pack,VP ODS. 5 ?m 4 6?150 mm radial compression column was used with a mobile phase of tetrahydrofuran water trifluoroacetic acid(10∶89 8∶0 2). The flow rate was 1 0 ml?min -1 .The detector was operated at 267 nm. RESULTS The calibration curves of AZT were linear separately within the concentration range of 0 02~20 mg?L -1 . The relative standard deviations for within day and between days assays were all less than 5%. The relative recovery of the method were 96 4%. The limit of quantitation of the assay is 10 ?g?L -1 of plasma. CONCLUSIONS The methed is rapid, accurate and stable. The determination of AZT plasma concendration could be used.
