The authors investigated and discussed therapeutic mechanism of small knife needle in treating closed myofascitis on the basis of pathomechanism of modern medicine and acupuncture theory of TCM among numbers of clinical cases and experimental data. Therapeutic mechanism lies in 6 aspects: (1) Relieve the energy crisis of tenderness point on muscular fasciae; (2) Affect nervous system and reduce induction of harmful stimulating signal; (3) Inhibit aseptic inflammatory reaction on muscular fasciae; (4) Regulate dynamic equilibrium of soft tissue by cutting scar and releasing the conglutination; (5) Increase patients' regional threshold of feeling; (6) Reduce tension and pressure of soft tissue of tenderness point so as to relieve extrusion of nervus cutaneous.

Objective To assess the value of MSCT and postprocessing techniques in displaying abnormal blood vessels of pulmonary sequestration. Methods Ten patients with pulmonary sequestration proved with operation and pathology underwent both plain and enhanced chest CT scan. The reconstructed images of maximum intensity projection, multiplanar reconstruction and volume rendering were analyzed retrospectively. Results Of 10 patients, intra-lobe type sequestration was seen in 9 patients and extra-lobar type in 1 patient. The lesions located in the left lower lobe in 8 patients and in the right lower lobe in 2 patients. Angiography postprocessing technique displayed abnormal supplying vessels in 9 patients (7 from descending aorta and 2 from abdominal aorta) and displayed the origin, courser, branches and distribution of lesions clearly. Vessels in 9 patients drained into inferior pulmonary veins except in one drained into azygos vein. Conclusion MSCT angiography with postprocessing reconstruction techniques can display abnormalities of pulmonary sequestration clearly and has great value in the diagnosis of pulmonary sequestration, so as might be the first choice in diagnosing pulmonary sequestration.

OBJECTIVETo discuss the relative association of soft tissue tension and cervical physiological curvature chang in patients with scapula muscle fasciitis.

METHODSFrom February 2012 to December 2012,29 patients with scapula muscle fasciitis were investigated. There were 10 males and 19 females with an average age of 27.77 years old (ranged from 22 to 40 years old). Routine AP and lateral cervical X-rays were done in all patients. Cervical lordosis was measured according to Borden's method and the pain point tension was measured by soft tissue tension meter. Finally,perform statistic analysis to bove data.

RESULTSLateral X-rays showed 9 cases were normal cervical lordosis, 18 cases were cervical lordosis decreased, 2 cases were cervical lordosis increased. The regression equation of cerical lordosis changes D(Y) and soft tissue tension displacement D0.5 kg (X) was Y = -15.069 + 3.673X.

CONCLUSIONThere is linear relationship between soft tissue tension and cervical physiological curvature change. With the soft tissue tension increases, the cervical lordosis trend to decrease.

OBJECTIVETo research the preparation technology and dissolution of Blumea volatile oil suppository.

METHODIn order to establish the content determination and methodology inspection method of Blumea volatile oil plug, the extraction process of Blumea volatile oil was optimized by using orthogonal test. Optimization on the investigation to the suppository matrix by melting time, appearance and dissolution was carried on. The best prescription craft was determined by determining the best molding temperature, dosage of the matrix and complementary makings. The determination method of dissolution was established by investigating different dissolution method and its impact on the preparation of dissolution.

RESULTThe best conditions of steam distillation extracted Blumea volatile oil was as followed, the ratio of gardenia to liquor 1:6, 2.5% drug amount of sodium, 8 hours of extracting time. The optimum temperature for mold was 60-65 degrees C. Preparation technique of Blumea volatile oil suppository was stable, which after 45 minutes and 3 h in pH 4.5 PBS released at least 70% and 90%.

CONCLUSIONBlumea volatile oil suppository with rational prescription, simple preparation and good stability.

Objective To predict the secondary structure and the B cell epitopes of human heparanase protein, and to identify its immunogenicity. Methods The flexible regions of secondary structure and the B cell epitopes of human heparanase amino acid sequence were predicted by DNAStar and Bcepred software. The multiple antigenic peptides (MAP) of the epitopes were synthesized in 8-branch form. Rabbits were immunized with the 8-branch MAPs mixed with a universal T-helper epitope human IL-1β peptide (VQGEESNDK, amino acid 163-171 ). The immunogenicity of the synthesized peptides was evaluated by ELISA, Western blot and immunohistochemistry. Results Amino acid 1 -15 ( MAP1), 279-293 (MAP2) and 175-189(MAP3) of large-subunit of human heparanase protein was predicted as the most potential epitopes of human heparanase protein. All the three synthesized MAPs induced high titer of antibodies. ELISA, Western blot and immunohistochemistry analysis showed all the three MAPs could produce high titer serum antibodies, antibodies induced by MAP1 and MAP2 had high specific binding activity , and MAP2 antibody showed the strongest binding activity with liver cancer tissues. Conclusion The large-subunit No. 1-15, 279-293 amino acid of human heparanase protein may be the B cell preponderant epitopes and the strongest immunogenicity may be No. 279-293 peptide, which provided a theoretic basis for the antibody and vaccine development of heparanase subunit peptide.

AIM: To evaluate the blood compatibility of a new bioartificial reactor membranous material (propylene-acidamide grafted poly propylene membrane, PP-g-AAm) in vitro. METHODS: Contacted PP-g-AAm membrane and PP (polypropylene) memb rane with platelet-rich plasma in a swing bed, 37 ℃, to simulate the conditions in vivo, and another group of PRP without any membranes was set as control group. ELISA was used to study the expression of ?-thromboglobulin, and flow cy tometry was used to study CD62P and CD63 expressio n of the activated blood platelets after contacting the two kinds of membranes w ith PRP. Scanning electrical microscopy was used to study the configuration and numbers of platelet cells adhered on the membranes. Objective:To explore value of 256-slice spiral CT pulmonary artery angiography (CTPA)evaluating right heart function in patients with acute pulmonary embolism (APE).Methods:According to death risk assessment of APE patients, a total of 67 APE patients were divided into high risk APE group (n=41)and non-high risk APE group (n=35).CTPA was used to analyze and compare CTPA obstructive index and right heart function indexes between two groups.Correlations among CTPA obstructive index and right heart function indexes were also analyzed.Results:Compared with non-high risk APE group,there were significant rise in CTPA constructive index [8.58% vs.24.69%],percentages of straight or left protruded ventricular septum (31.46% vs.73.17%)and bronchial artery dilation (5.71% vs.24.69%);Except the supe- rior vena cava diameter,the rest right heart function parameters had difference significance in two groups,P<0.05 or<0.01. Spearman correlation analysis indicated that CTPA obstructive index was significant positively correlated with right ventricular maximal short axis (RVMSA),RV:LV,diameters of main pulmonary artery,superior vena cava and azygos (r=0.684~0.954),and significant inversely correlated with LVMSA (r=-0.786),P<0.01 all.ROC curve analysis indicated that AUCs of CTPA RV:LV (0.949)was the biggest diagnosing APE severity.Conclusion:Right heart func- tion indexes measured by multi-detector CT are accurate and practical indexes evaluating APE severity,and it possesses im- portant significance.

Objective To explore the relationship between myocardial glucose metabolism in the right heart and cardiac function in patients with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (IDCM).Methods From October 2010 to May 2013,64 consecutive patients (45 males,19 females; mean age:(53 ± 12) years) with IDCM were enrolled in this study.All patients underwent 18F-FDG myocardial PET imaging,late-gadolinium enhancement cardiac MRI (cMRI-LGE) and UCG.TrueD software was used to determine the SUVmax in right (SUV-R) and left (SUV-L) ventricular free wall,and the ratio of SUV-R to SUV-L (SUV-R/L) was calculated.The cMRI-LGE was used to evaluate LVEF,RVEF and LGE in left heart.Pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP) was measured by UCG.Two-sample t test and Pearson correlation analysis were used to analyze the data.Results Both SUV-R and SUV-R/L had negative correlation with LVEF (r=-0.48,-0.33; both P＜0.01) and also with RVEF (r=-0.45,-0.44; both P＜0.01).SUV-R/L positively correlated with PASP (r =0.58,P＜0.01).SUV-R/L of patients with and without LGE were statistically different (0.45±0.18 vs 0.36±0.12; t=2.50,P＜0.05).SUV-R and SUV-L of patients with LGE were 2.0±0.9 and 4.7±1.6,and those of patients without LGE were 1.7±0.9 and 5.0±2.8.Both differences of SUV-R and SUV-L between the two groups were not statistically significant (t=0.54 and 0.63,both P＞0.05).Conclusions Myocardial glucose metabolism in right heart is closely correlated with left and right ventricular function.The assessment of 18F-FDG uptake in right heart by PET imaging is potentially useful for evaluation of the severity and prognosis in IDCM patients.
