0.05).The protein and mRNA expression of MIP-2 in high glucose group significantly increased after culture for 4 h,and guadually decreased then. The protein and mRNA expression of MCP-1 began to increase significantly after culture for 8 h,reached peak at 12 h,and slightly decreased after culture for 24 and 48 h. Conclusion High glucose promotes the protein and mRNA expression of MIP-2 and MCP-1 from mouse peritoneal macrophages cultured in vitro, which indicates that high glucose may delay the wound healing by increasing the expression of chemokines in diabetic mice.

The effect of initial substrate concentration on the growth, metabolic activities of Photosynthetic bacteria (PSB) in the process of hydrogen production is studied. The empirical relation of the initial substrate concentration to the specific growth rate, specific substrate consumption rate and specific hydrogen production rate of PSB are developed based on the modified Monod model. It is found that the results given by the model are well agreed with the experimental data in growth phase and stationary phase of PSB.Meanwhile, the optimal substrate concentration in the process of growth, metabolism and hydrogen production is 50 mmol/L.Furthermore,when the initial substrate concentration deviates 50 mmol/L,the activation of PSB is limited or inhibited, and the inhibiting effect is more prominent than the limiting effect. In addition,it is demonstrated that initial substrate concentration has little effect on the specific substrate consumption rate.
3.Relation between tear film break-up time and blood press, blood glucose and lipid
International Eye Science 2018;18(4):759-761
·AIM: To analyze the relationship between tear film break-up time (BUT) and systemic factors. ·METHODS: From January 2015 to July 2016 in the medical examination center of Fuzhou General Hospital or hospitalized, there were 747 cases included. All participants were observed for systolic and diastolic blood pressure, blood glucose, total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, low density lipoprotein,break-up time equivalent. The relationship between tear film rupture time and systemic factors was analyzed with simple and multiple linear regression analysis by SPSS19.0. ·RESULTS: Simple linear regression analysis results showed that the diastolic pressure and tear break-up time were positively correlated(P<0.05);age,systolic blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein was negatively correlated with BUT (P < 0. 05), but no correlation between triglyceride and tear film break up time (P = 0.227). Multiple linear regression analysis suggested that the tear film rupture time was positively correlated with diastolic blood pressure (P<0.001), but negatively correlated with systolic blood pressure (P<0.001), blood glucose (P<0. 001) and high-density lipoprotein (P=0.019). The time of tear film rupture was not related to age, cholesterol, triglyceride, low density lipoprotein.·CONCLUSION: The correlation between blood glucose and tear film BUT is the most significant among all the indexes involved, indicating that ocular surface damage may occur in diabetic patients.

Abstract: Mycobacterium senegalense is one of the major pathogens causing bovine farcy, and reports of its infection in
human are rare. Here is a report on a woman who had been taking hormones and immunosuppressants for a long time for SLE
and underwent abdominal soft tissue infection with Mycobacterium senegalense after abdominal liposuction, to provide reference
for clinical diagnosis and treatment. The patient, female, 32 years old, has a history of SLE for more than 2 years, and currently
takes "methylprednisolone, hydroxychloroquine, and mycophenolate mofetil" regularly. Nine months before the patient was
admitted to the hospital, she once performed abdominal, waist and buttock liposuction in a medical beauty institution. One
month after the operation, several masses gradually appeared on the abdominal wall, accompanied by tenderness, one of the
masses had obvious fluctuation on palpation and purulent fluid could be drawn out. The location of the abdominal wall mass
was consistent with the insertion site of the liposuction needle. After the onset of the disease, the patient went to the medical
beauty institution for puncture of the abdominal wall mass, and 5 mL of purulent fluid was pierced and sent for bacterial
culture, and cultured "Mycobacterium Senegalense", after 3 days of treatment with "cephalosporin" antibiotics (specifically
unknown), the symptoms did not improve, so she went to the second affiliated hospital of hainan medical college. After
completing the relevant examinations during the hospitalization in our hospital, in order to clarify the etiology, another
abdominal puncture to extract pus was performed, the mycobacterial culture + identification results: Mycobacterium
senegalense. Consistent with the out-of-hospital results, the diagnosis of Mycobacterium senegalense infection was confirmed.
After 3 months of treatment with "cefoxitin, azithromycin, amikacin, and levofloxacin", the patient's abdominal wall soft tissue
infection was cured. Trauma or invasive procedures can lead to skin, muscle, or bone infection with nontuberculous
mycobacteria (NTM), which can manifest as chronic painless nodules that progress to purulent folliculitis and abscesses. NTM
infection should be suspected when the patient's wound has been exposed to water, there is a history of surgery, and empirical
anti-infection is ineffective. This is the first case of Mycobacterium senegalense infection caused by medical beauty, which tell
people that they should be cautious when choosing medical aesthetic projects and medical aesthetic institutions.

Background:Due to absence of visible endobronchial target, the diagnostic yield of flexible bronchoscopy for peribronchial lesions has been unsatisfactory.Convex probe endobronchial ultrasound (CP-EBUS) has allowed for performing real-time transbronchial needle aspiration (TBNA) of enlarged hilar and mediastinal lymph nodes and therefore could also be used as a means of diagnosing proximal peribronchial lesions. Methods:We retrospectively analyzed the results related to 72 patients who underwent CP-EBUS for peribronchial lesions without endobronchial involvement and adjacent to three-grade bronchi based on chest computed tomography (CT) scan.We recorded the images during EBUS as well as the diagnostic results of TBNA and conventional-transbronchial lung biopsy/brush (C-TBLB/b),and final diagnoses were based on pathologic analysis and follow-up.Results:In all cases, the mass was able to be identified using EBUS in 97.2% patients (70/72) who were performed with EBUS-TBNA + C-TBLB/b.Sixty-six patients had a final diagnosis,80.0% patients (56/70) had malignancies, and 14.3% patients (10/70) had benign disease. In malignancies, the diagnostic yield of C-TBLB/b was 57.1% (32/56) and in EBUS-TBNA was 85.7% (48/56),whereas pathologic diagnosis reached 94.6% when EBUS-TBNA was combined with C-TBLB/b.C-TBLB/b + EBUS-TBNA also exhibited stronger potency ofhistolytic diagnosis for malignancies than either EBUS-TBNA or C-TBLB/b alone.Furthermore, there are data supporting the value of EBUS-TBNA for the diagnosis of benign lung disease. Conclusion:The combined endoscopic approach with EBUS-TBNA and C-TBLB/b is an accurate and effective method for the evaluation of peribronchial lesions, with better results than using each technique alone.

Chinese Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery 2009;12(5):515-517
OBJECTIVETo investigate the expression of guanylin in colorectal cancer.
METHODSThe expression of guanylin was examined by RT-PCR and semiquantitative analysis in 20 cases of colorectal cancer, and its relationship with clinical characteristics was analyzed.
RESULTSThe positive expression of guanylin in normal tissue (80%, 16/20) was significantly higher than that in tumor tissue (35%, 7/20) (P<0.01). The same result was found in the semiquantitative analysis of 14 cases with differential expression. Differential expression of guanylin in colorectal cancer was associate with TNM stage (P<0.05), not with sex, Borrmann type and degree of differentiation (all P>0.05).
CONCLUSIONThere is differential expression of guanylin in colorectal cancer, and this kind of differential expression is associated with tumor TNM stage.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the effect of post-treatment PSA kinetics on the prognosis of prostate cancer (PCa).
METHODSWe retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of 114 cases of locally advanced PCa treated by maximal androgen blockade (MAB) combined with brachytherapy, and analyzed the association of the changes in PSA kinetics with the prognosis of the patients.
RESULTSThe median survival time of the patients was 81 (15 - 144) months, with 1-, 3- and 5-year survival rates of 91. 23%, 78.07% and 68.42% , respectively. Univariate analysis indicated that the baseline PSA level, PSA nadir, the time of PSA decreasing to nadir, PSA doubling time, and the extent of PSA declining were all predictive factors for the survival time of the PCa patients. Multivariate analysis demonstrated that PSA nadir, the time of PSA decreasing to nadir, and the extent of PSA declining were three independent prognostic factors, which prolonged the long-term survival of the patients by 1.7, 3.2 and 6.8 times, respectively.
CONCLUSIONFor locally advanced PCa treated by MAB combined with brachytherapy, PSA nadir <1 micro g/L, the time to nadir <3 months, and the extent of PSA declining >96% are independent prognostic factors.

PURPOSE: To analyze the correlation of polymorphisms of toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) (rs179009) and toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) (rs187084) in hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections in the Han population. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The genotypes of TLR7IVS2-151 in HCV infection were detected by Sanger sequencing using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism to determine the TLR9 T-1486C single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) for all enrolled patients. RESULTS: We found no significant difference between males with spontaneous clearance of HCV versus those chronically infected [chi2=2.71, p=0.10, odd ratios (OR)=0.58, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.31-1.11]. However, significant differences were found for the distribution of TLR7 (rs179009) in females (chi2=9.46, p=0.01). In females, a significant difference was also found between chronic hepatitis C and those with spontaneous clearance of HCV in terms of TLR7 IVS2-151G/A allele frequencies (chi2=9.50, p=0.00, OR=0.46, 95% CI 0.28-0.75). In HCV-infected patients, no significant association was found between the frequency of TLR9 genotypes and alleles. CONCLUSION: The site of TLR7 IVS2-151 (rs179009) G/A may be a factor for susceptibility of chronic HCV in the female Han population. TLR9T-1486C (rs18084) SNP may not play a major role in HCV infection. However, individual risk profiles for HCV infection did vary by sex and this relationship should be further investigated.

Chinese Journal of Medical Genetics 2011;28(5):517-520
OBJECTIVETo identify a novel human leukocyte antigen (HLA) allele in Chinese and investigate its inheritance in the family.
METHODSExceptional reaction pattern was detected in HLA-B locus in HLA typing using Luminex DNA polymerase chain reaction with sequence specific oligonucleotide probe hybridization (PCR-SSOP) assay. A confirmatory test for the novel HLA allele was performed by DNA sequencing based typing of the proband's family.
RESULTSThe DNA sequence was confirmed to be a novel HLA B allele. There were 7 nucleotides which differed from the closest matching HLA B*40:06:01 at positions 302(G to A), 309(G to C), 311(A to C), 313(C to G), 314(T to C), 317(G to T), and 319(G to C) in exon 2, which resulted in 5 amino acid changes at codon 101 (Ser to Asn), 104 (Asn to Thr), 105 (Leu to Ala), 106 (Arg to Leu), and 107 (Gly to Arg), respectively. Family investigation indicated that the novel allele was transmitted from the proband's father.
CONCLUSIONA novel HLA B allele was identified and officially named as HLA-B*40:96 (GenBank accession No. FJ374890) by the WHO Nomenclature Committee for Factors of the HLA System.
