2.Analysis of procalcitonin concentration change in anti-infective therapy
Journal of Regional Anatomy and Operative Surgery 2015;(4):443-444
Objective To assess the value of procalcitonin( PCT) in anti-infective therapy by observing PCT concentration change in therapy. Methods Sixty-eight patients with bacterial infection meet the diagnostic criteria were divided into effective group and invalid group, the PCT level on day 1,day 3,day 5 and day 7 were observed respectively. Results PCT concentrations of two groups showed no sig-nificant difference on day 1. The PCT level of effective group gradually declined and PCT level of invalid group gradually rised with significant difference on day 3,day 5 and day 7(P<0. 05). Conclusion PCT level that is positively correlated with inflammation of infectied patients, which can be used as an effective indicator to optimize antibiotic therapy.

This study was aimed to find the optimal conditions for seed propagation of Fritillaria cirrhosa in the plateau region in order to summarize the best sowing time and method of artificial propagation. Seeds were stored in appropriate environment. After the seeds matured, the seedbed of F. cirrhosa was treated with cattle dung humus and small shed. The results showed that early March is the best sowing time and cattle dung humus with a thickness about 1 cm is the best coving for propagation of F. cirrhosa; the growing period of film propagation (FP) is about 160 days each year compared with that of control about 50-60 days, respectively. It was concluded that the propagating seeds in plastic greenhouses by using cattle dung humus as planting substrates, using sunshade nets for shading and keeping humidity by spraying can effectively prolong the growing period, improve the retention rate of annual bulbs and the production of F. cirrhosa.

Objective To conduct a meta-analysis of the curative effect and safety of the drug-coated balloon (DCB) and uncoated balloon (UCB) in treating femoropopliteal artery ischemic disease in order to provide more credible conclusion to guide clinical practice. Methods By retrieving relevant documents contained in Medline,EMbase,Cochrane library,EBSCO,Springer Link,Scopus,Web and other data pools, the research articles of clinical trials that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were collected.According to the risk assessment standard of Cochrane collaboration network, the academic qualities of included articles were evaluated, the relevant data were extracted, then, the meta-analysis was conducted with RevMan5.3 software. Results A total of 8 papers were collected, which were originated from 6 clinical trials (from 2008 to 2015) and included 1188 patients in total.DCB group had 722 patients, and UCB group had 466 patients.Meta analysis showed that the target lesion revascularization (TLR) rates at 6,12 and 24 months after angioplasty in DCB group were significantly lower than those in UCB group. The late lumen loss (LLL) amount and re-stenosis rate at 6 month after angioplasty in DCB group were lower than those in UCB group. No statistically significant differences in amputation rate and mortality at 6,12 and 24 months after angioplasty existed between the two groups. Conclusion In treating femoropopliteal artery ischemic disease, the use of DCB is superior to the use of UCB in aspects of TLR rate,LLL amount and re-stenosis rate, besides,no significant difference in safety exists between DCB and UCB.Therefore, priority should be given to the use of DCB when the patient's economic conditions permit.

To explore the effect of quercetin on the proliferation and apoptosis of HeLa cells, HeLa cells were incubated with quercetin at different concentrations. Cell viability was evaluated by MTT assay, cell apoptosis was detected by Annexin-V/PI double labeled cytometry and DNA ladder assay. Cell cycle was flow cytometrically determined and the morphological changes of the cells were observed under a fluorescence microscope after Hoechst 33258 staining and the apoptosis-related proteins in the HeLa cells were assessed by Western blotting. The results showed that quercetin significantly inhibited the growth of HeLa cells and induced obvious apoptosis in vitro in a time- and dose-dependent manner. Moreover, quercetin induced apoptosis of HeLa cells in cell cycle-dependent manner because quercetin could induce arrest of HeLa cells at G0/G1 phase. Quercetin treatment down-regulated the expression of the PI3K and p-Akt. In addition, quercetin could down-regulate expression of bcl-2, up-regulate Bax, but exerted no effect on the overall expression of Akt. We are led to conclude that quercetin induces apoptosis via PI3k/Akt pathways, and quercetin has potential to be used as an anti-tumor agent against human cervix cancer.

Chinese Circulation Journal 2001;16(1):38-40
Objectives:The present study in vestigated the presence and significance of serum antibody against human myocardial mitochondria in patients with virus myocarditis (VMC) and dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). Methods:The human myocardial mitochondtia were used as antigen to detect serum autoantibody by immuno-dot blot in 29 VMC patients,24 DCM patients,33 patients with other cardiac (OCD) and 20 healthy blood donor (HBD).The antigen molecular weight was detected by Western blot. Results:①Positive autoantibody against human myocardial mitochordria was found in 41.4% in VMC and 41.7% in DCM patients, which were much higher than 6.1% in OCD or 0% in HBD patients.②Cardiac troponin T was elevated in 43.8% of autoantibody-positive VMC and DCM patients, which was much higher than 12.0% in autoantibody-negative VMC and DCM patients (p<0.05).③The antigen molecular weight of human myocardial mitochondria was 30KD. Conclusions:①The presence of autoantibody against supports that concept that is responsible for the development of VMC and DCM.Autoantibody is one of the factors that give rise to cardiac injury. The antibody detection may serve as a diagnostic index for VMC and DCM.②The specific antigen is probably human myocardial adenine nucleotide translocator.
