1.Clinical significance of The changes of C-reactive protein in acute phase of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2009;16(11):1969-1970
Objective To investigate the changes of CRP in diagnosis of the acute exacerbation of COPD and its significance.Method CRP and WBC were measured both when the patients just before and after the treatment with effective antibiotics to compare their change. Results The positive rate of CRP is 85.40%.and the difference Was obvious(P<0.01).At the same time, the CRP's difference between before and after the use of antibiotics was also obvious(P<0.01).Conclusion CRP is a sensitive and specific index to the acute exacerbation of COPD,and is helpful to discover this acute disease early as well as a good guide to estimate the serious of pneumonia sand to respond the efficacy of antibiotics.

4.Study on Preparation Technology of Repaglinide and Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets
China Pharmacist 2015;(3):493-496
Objective:To design and prepare repaglinide and metformin hydrochloride tablets for pilot scale test and industrial pro-duction. Methods:Dissolution was applied to optimize the formula and preparation process. Results: The tablets were prepared ac-cording to the determined formula and process with poloxamer 188, meglumine, PVP K30, croscarmellose sodium, microcrystalline cellulose PH101, sorbitol, magnesium stearate and coating powder as the adjuvants. The dissolution behavior of the tablets in four media was similar to that of the reference. Conclusion:The preparation process of repaglinide and metformin hydrochloride tablets is simple and feasible, and the quality is controllable and stable.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of high-dose ambroxol in treating acute exacerbations in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD).Methods The trial design was random, open, and parallel control.126 patients with AECOPD were involved.High-dose group received ambroxol 150 mg 3 times per day for 7 days (n=46),while conventional-dose group given ambroxol 30 mg 3 times per day for 7 days (n=40) and control group was given a routine treatment (antibiotic therapy, oxygen inhalation and bronchodilators) (n=40).Results The effective rates of high-dose group and conventional-dose group (95.6 %,77.5 %) were significantly higher compared with control group (55.0%) (x2 =19.81,4.53,both P<0.05).The average duration of hospitalization was significantly lower in high-dose group (10.78 ±0.95)d and conventional-dose group (11.75±0.84)d comparing with control group (13.15±0.89)d (q=11.88,7.24,both P<0.05).The clinical efficacy in high dose group was much better. Conclusions High-dose ambroxol is a safe and efficient therapy in the treatment of acute exacerbations in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

[Objective]To evaluate the methods of operation and clinic effective of thoracolumbar spinal tuberculosis with paraplegia.[Method]Thirty cases of thoracolumbac spinal tuberculosis with paraplegia had been treated with primary anterior debridement, decompression of spinal cord, interbody graft bone, and interbody fixation,anti-tuberculosis drug was taken at 18 monthes ofter the operation.[Result]Thirty cases were followed-up for an overage of 19 months and were healed,in which 2 cases recurrence,29 cases spinal fusion of graft bone,12? of kyphosis correction had been gained, the neuropathic fuction had gained improvement excellently(90%).[Conclusion]It had gained good outcome that operation of the primary anterior debridement decompression of spinal cand interbody graft bone and interbody fixation to treat thoracolumbac spinal tuberculosis with pacaplegia.

Journal of Practical Stomatology 2001;0(01):-
Objective: To study the effects of psychological variables on orthodontic compliance of adolescents. Methods:Prior to orthodontic treatment,60 adolescent patients received two questionnaires for the analysis of their personality(EPQ) and self-consciousness.The compliance of the patients was evaluated at each visit and 6 months after the beginning of treatment by orthodontists. Results:The outgoing personality and the high self-consciousness significantly predicted good orthodontic compliance of the adolescent patients in the treatment(P

Chinese Archives of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery 2006;0(07):-
OBJECTIVE To investigate the effect of repeated debridement on the efficacy of endoscopic sinus surgery(ESS). METHODS A total of 67 patients underwent ESS were divided into intervention group and control group. Debridement was performed at the 1st, 4th, 8th week after operation for the patients in intervention group, while once per week for the patients in control group. The primary outcome measure was visual analogue scale(VAS)and Lund-Kennedy endoscopic score(LKES). RESULTS Comparing the two groups on all domains of digital VAS and LKES at the 4th, 8th week after operation, there were no significant difference between the two groups. CONCLUSION Benefit of frequent debridement during the early postoperative period was no positive correlation with patients recovering after ESS. Therefore, in terms of subjective recovery and health care costs, appropriate extending postoperative management time and decreasing intervention frequency do not decrease the efficacy of endoscopic sinus surgery.

ObjectiveTo investigate the expression of stem cell marker adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-binding cassette transporter 2 (ABCG2) in the tissue and side population (SP) of a cell line A431 of human cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma(SCC).MethodsSP cells were separated by flow cytometry from cultured A431 cells.Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium(MTT) assay was used to evaluate the proliferative ability of,reverse transcription-PCR to determine the expression of ABCG2 in,SP and non-SP cells.Immunohistochemistry (MaxVision method) was carried out to detect the expression of ABCG2 protein in tissue specimens from 10 patients with SCC.ResultsSP cells existed in cultured A431 cells, and accounted for about 1.1% of A431 cells. The SP cells had a stronger growth and colony-forming ability than non-SP cells did.The number of cell clones formed by SP cells and non-SP cells was 114.8 ± 4.95 and 44.5 ± 3.67,respectively,per well in a 24-well plate( t =27.92,P < 0.01 ).The expression level of ABCG2 mRNA was significantly higher in SP cells than in non-SP cells(t =5.22,P< 0.01).There existed a small number of ABCG2 positive cells in SCC tissue, and ABCG2 was mainly expressed in the cytoplasm and membrane of tumor cells.ConclusionsSP cells exist in A431 cells, which have characteristics of stem cells and highly express ABCG2.ABCG2 may be a potential stem cell surface marker of SCC.

Neurology Asia 2012;17(4):353-356
Limb-shaking transient ischemic attack (TIA), a rare manifestation, is commonly caused by severe
stenosis or occlusion of an extracranial internal carotid artery. Such patients are usually treated with
surgical revascularization or anti-platelet therapy. We present a 56-year-old woman with 6 months’
episodic attacks starting with mouth skewed to the right and a sensation of ‘weakness’ involving
predominantly her left arm, and at times, also involved the left leg. This was immediately followed by
rhythmic jerky movements of the left arm and at times, also involved the left leg. Magnetic resonance
angiography revealed severe stenosis of M1 segment of the right middle cerebral artery. The patient’s
symptoms were signifi cantly improved by treatment with anti-platelet drugs and nimodipine.
